Oh, sorry to hear Al. I was thinkin you had quit yourself as I saw youre car standing in the pit for 3-4 laps.
Good practise race guys, good fun, and intresting. I will run another full practise for those who are intrested, after quali deadline on saturday/sunday. I will keep you guys informed.
I will be joining the room Paul. Might quali tonight, just incase I wont make the deadline.

Question: How do you guys find a tune for a car these days? With all the updates and fysics changes, I always have a feeling tunes are outdated. Or are all you guys tuning your cars from scratch yourself?

I always use base tunes someone posts on the WRS and tweak it a little bit, not to make it any faster, but just to make it handle to my liking.
In this combo, I'm using Pekka's tune modified slightly to my liking.
Pekka's sample tunes are posted by Tim on page 3 of this thread for all cars.

Since I don't have a clue what I'm doing regarding setups, my modus operandi is:
- Find a tune from one of the tuners I've learned to trust. If the suspension-settings are not completely out of the "normal" range, that is.
- if you can't get the car to behave at all with that tune, try another
- often the tune might be for different specs, but I feel most of them work anyway
- the only thing that i halfway understand is LSD-tuning anyway, so I might fiddle a bit with it, if I feel I need it. Wasn't the general consensus that after the last physics-update, everything with the spring rates doesn't actually do much anymore?

For weekly races I usually use a tried and tested tune from the TT unless it really fails with tyre/fuel ware (which of course isn't considered when tuning for a TT).
For big events like this, I have a decent understanding of tuning myself, so I take the time to create one myself from scratch.
Additionally,3D3_A is now set up for practice/quali sessions. Mika has scheduled a quali for soonish, but I will edit into this message when the lobby is closed or open.

I've opened 3D3_A for GT3 practice or quali again. Jammy was halfway through a race in B so I've just let him get on with it
If there are any stewards available maybe in 30 minutes or an hour to observe my quali that would be lovely, I'm getting closer to being as ready as I will get
