GTP_WRS-Online : Academy/D-League Racing - Suspended Until GT7

The main lounge is open for some practice!

You can have a look here to see what the laptiles were when we did this race.

I'm filling in for Frank who PM'd me he couldn't make it home in time.
Watching the lounge now through my HD PVR on the laptop I won't be able to join track untill around 20:30GMT but I'll do my best to keep you guys busy. :D

Sorry guys keep getting disconnected from the lounge. Tried almost everything :(
The PSN maintaince is highly needed.

Have fun.

That was a great first time for me, thanks all for participating, especially the instructors and Speedy, the master of ceremonies!

Sorry guys for not being there last night. Something in real life came up, was only back home after midnight.

I am pretty sure everything went well. See ya all next week.

@Christophe, Thank you so much for hosting 👍

I don't think there is, but I will be in the lounge for an "unofficial" session at the same time if there's interest :).

At least we could be let as to what is going on, Academy or not. I don't like last minute notice's. :irked:

The Academy has been every other Saturday, has it not?

There was an even last week, so the next one will be a week from now.

Hi everyone, yes the academy is on tonight, I just think Speedy has not found the time to update the OP. We will be doing same combo as last week, hope to all see ya tonight.

I should be there, finally able again to connect to the PSN.
Hopefully the issues from last week are gone.

EDIT: sorry guys, something came up. Had to cancel. Have fun.

Because of the Endurro taking place next weekend, there will be no Academy. See ya all again on saturday 2 february.

I have been invited to take part in the PURE GATE 2 GT300 series, and I have accepted. Unfortunately it runs at the same time as this so I will be unable to participate for a while.

Looks like Frank is still a bit sick.
I'll update the thread to the Online Specs of Baby Monsta.

Don't forget to put the car on the B-Spec Indy 500 Endurance Race for about 84 laps so it's broken in.
You can add a couple more parts for more HP. When you do make sure they are removable and remove them right after those 84 break in laps.

A good tune is Vagabond's. The only thing I and all others did was a different gearbox for online with the low RPM Turbo.

I'll get those details for the gearbox up ASAP.

I hope that Frank gets feeling better soon, we'll miss him at the weekly Academy!

Here's the gear box Speedy was referencing courtesy of Pekka (MadMax). It's perfect:

First set the final gear to 6.000 and then max speed to 150 km/h (2nd lowest)
And then set the gears as follows .

2.887
2.375
1.850
1.480
1.207
f3.000 (shift up at around 7175 rpm)

You might not be able to achieve these exact number depending on your rims, but you can get close enough. I could only get to 1.205 on the gear 5. Still works like a charm.

You can get the rest of Pekka's tune by clicking on the bubble in that quote. I personally used Vagabond's tune which speedy posted above with Pekka's gearbox so don't know about the rest of Pekka's setup. Pekka likes to drift and is a lot better at it then me so I don't always do well with his tunes, but his gearboxes are always dreamy. :dopey:

I hope to participate in at least part of the academy. This combo is really fun, if you haven't seen the highlights from the Wednesday race yet...

This will be a good lesson in learning to control a small oversteery car.
Going into a turn by turning the wheel and then making and exitting the turn with your wheel (almost) straightened, steering with your throttle actually.
Weird to read but in this car you really drive around a lap like this. Keep this in mind for when you join the lounge in a couple hours guys.

The Lounge is open for some practice. I'll be afk for now and join the track in about 45 min I think.
