GTP_WRS-Online : Academy/D-League Racing - Suspended Until GT7

Here's the lap of Twissy. In terms of pace I think no one can get there but you can steal something from his lines and used gears IMO.

Twissy used eclipsi's tune/tranny I believe. That tune also requires some advanced skills to handle properly, but as with all eclipsi tunes there is magic in it if driven just right.

Thanks for the link. That is impressive.👍 The first thing I noticed is that I'm consistently a gear lower than him on most turns. Maybe I'm revving too high...

I think I'm getting some time tonight to practice. I'll compare this tune with my current one. Thanks for the post

I'm signed up but I feel like I'm going backwards in skill. I just can't seem to pull it together. :(

Sark

Curious to know if anyone would like any assistance this week, I will be around for this as not going out this weekend.. grand prix weekend :)

I might be a little late getting to the track today. Yes I would appreciate some one on one help! Just need to get a few things done and I will see you there.

Al

is the Lounge on GTP_3D3Racing? because is not on line. I'm new, so i might have a bit of confusion

Check the cofee cup,
The lounge is not online but you can still join.

See it as a room just for meeting.:)

What sort of handicap should I give myself if I want to do the sprint races?

Just look at the times that are being set by the others and handicap yourself to meet somewhere in the middle of them.

Ok. Why was it not mentioned that someone other than the 3D3_racing account was hosting the lounge for this week's online WRS?

Anybody (admins or stewards) can host a WRS event. They only take place in our shared friendlist account GTP_3D3Racing, GTP_3D3_A or GTP_3D3_B. These accounts were made so we wouldn't have to figure out who's got who on his friendlist. The 3D3Racing accounts have the concerned drivers on their friendlist so all those friends can enter those lounges. :)

Sorry to hear ,Lefty, race is started,we waited a short while.
You should have started on second place.:)

Well, despite my frustration over the track, I had a good time today. – And, I even managed to get below 1.19 :D.

Once again, thanks for the car, Sjaak, and congratulations to Al .

See you all next week :gtpflag:!

I was so looking forward to this race and I knew i was flying today :banghead: oh well, I'll just have to get Spa wired now. Like Arnold said "I'll be bauk" What a hoot today's race must have been I'm so jealous of everyone who made it  C-ya next week :)

The first WRS event for me, although I didnt have any experience on this track (just drove few laps before the race) and could of done better in the race, but learnt a lot and had lots of fun :)

Cheers everybody for the good racing :D

So how does this work w/ the TT being run on Arcade and us running on line? Do we go buy a car and set it up or borrow one or do we pick from an arcade garage?

You don't buy the car. Whoever sets up the lounge specifies the car allowed in the regulations screen from the recommended garage and every driver in the lounge is automatically assigned the car. One thing to watch out for is that the default tires are chosen as well as TCS... So you have to go to settings to pick the correct tires and set ABS and TCS to your liking. Like arcade mode, you can change BB on track only.

Yes! Tim forgot to mention something!

To change the color of the car you just go pick the car from the garage and as Tim said if the lounge is set up, there will only be one car to chose from, chose it and pick your color.
Then change your tyres and TCS in the settings menu.

So the cars will have the same physics as the off line arcade cars?

Yes, except that real grip reduction is used online and not used offline in the TT. At spa, that might mean the rumbles are a bit more dangerous and any touches of grass will be much less forgiving. My advice is to go in your own lounge, replicate the event settings, set up the regulations so you use the "recommended garage" car and try it out for yourself. You'll see it's very close.
