What a blast, great race there "Rdub" you were definitely the class of the field. I feel good to be able to say "I was able to keep you in sight for the whole race." Those last few laps had to be my fastest in order to real you in but it just wasn't going to happen. You represented the defense of you home track as best as could be expected, Great Job.

If memory serves me and I haven't watched the replay yet but again my fastest lap held true to my belief that "your fastest lap should always be your last" and it was. The tote board is incorrect, I finally cracked a 23 on the last lap so if that can be looked at but it's not that big of a deal caus "Rdub" definitely took that one.

I wish I knew what the deal is with the invisible car thing, maybe it's because I was in the lobby earlier and PD server couldn't do it's thing as it started to fill up, or maybe I have to take the router out of the chain and go bare back and just plug in to the PS3 exclusively.

Youz guyz always put on a great show and I want to thank everyone who puts their all into making these efforts work..... Thankzzz....... 👍

Almost could'nt do today, but the racing gods are kind. See you on the track!

Considering I didn't touch anyone and was on the inside of the track while the other car was on the outside of the track, I think the quotes can be dropped from both successful and inexplicably. ;)
lol right. There were two other people with me on the final corner we are referring to. If I remember correctly, it was you who apologized about the incident before the room closed.

Regardless of what happened, it's in the past lol.

Problem is I can not FF the replay after the race, only watch it full to get to the end.
I try to gather the info for the end results during the race, taking notes.
Endtime,gaps,formationlaptime and fastest laps.
So it could happen I took your fastest lap before you finished your last lap.

It really doesn't matter, don't worry about it. I really don't care, thanks for what you do for us who just show up and enjoy the program. Your the best "S" 👍

Yes Sjaak. Thank you for all your hard work. I will be missing one more week. Our karate club has their summer BBQ next Saturday. I would rather race but all instructors need to be there to serve the students.

I will be there on the 29th!!! This weeks combo is going to be a lot of fun! Remember there is nothing stopping everyone from racing on Wednesday or even just joining in the weekly practices on Tuesday. During the WRS practice we do little sprint races practicing driving in the draft and running close together.

Not many of us academy drivers have been taking advantage of the Friday practice slot either. I plan to be opening the lounge on Friday this week. See you on then!!!!

I really hope there'll be enough participants, to continue this after the summer-break.

With that being said, I personally think I've evolved over the these races, so I guess it's possible for even the baddest driver to evolve. Another nice thing is that I feel I've gotten some new nice pals ;)!

- I'll for sure be there on the 29th as well.

Thanks to all that support the WRS races!! I will participate more after my ills are cured!! 👍

Academy regulars should consider forming up a couple teams (e.g. "WRS Academy NA" and/or "WRS Academy EU" ) and participating in the team challenge event on Saturday August 10th.

That or signing up as free agents and getting picked up by other regional teams. 👍

Last Saturday, we told the academy would be going on for a few weeks and then would be on a 'break' we also advertised for the 'Team Challenge'. Already some regulars have signed in 👍

haha if i signed up for the team challenge, my team would be on a one way road to finishing last, lol

This team event is just a fun celebration and sure there will be a few teams that will try to stack things, but that's not our focus. I'm happy the way the teams are forming already with a good mix of drivers on each. It's a good chance to learn from your team mates as Speedy said and make a couple new friends in the process.

Add to that there will likely be points multipliers for teams with drivers from lower divisions to offset those teams that try to stack all D1 drivers. Finally, the top 3 (of 4) drivers on each team score points so each team has a "mulligan" (which was introduced in case one driver DC's or gets an incident, etc.).

If you are available and interested I recommend signing up and at least practicing with your team and seeing how that goes. Of course, you're also free to sit out... just encouraging here, not trying to pressure. 👍

Better than not competing though :D. If you are interested in joining, sign up as a free agent for now(I have) and we should be able to get an Aus team going as it gets closer.

I'm hesitating signing up as I don't know if/when I'll have to have surgery on my lower back.

I'm hesitating signing up as I don't know if/when I'll have to have surgery on my lower back.

That's understandable. I hope if/when you have that surgery that it makes you feel better. I have minor issues with my back, I'm sure nothing compared to your situation, but enough that I can at least imagine what you go through to drive with a bad back.

The event will be rather long, although it will be split into two segments with a break in between. At this point the best guess is two rounds of 40-45 minute races with a 10-15 minute break in the middle.

I'll tell you what though... if you decide not to join officially and your back surgery doesn't put you out completely you can still be a part of Team USA preparation and practice. We'll run some short team practices and maybe an inter-squad scrimmage or two in the couple weeks prior to the event and you are welcome to join us as is any other USA academy driver. The goal of Team USA will be to help all drivers achieve their maximum and that may include sample laps (like in the academy), sharing ghosts, etc. I don't get back home until July 18th, but Team USA training will start shortly after that (or if anyone else organizes earlier).

I didn't run the TT but this could be a hoot for on line :) I know I don't have one of that car in my garage so where does the car come from?

Anybody interested in an unofficial practice lobby for this week's WRS?

I will be opening the lounge on Friday for the Official Academy practice time.

  • Official Academy Practice
  • Friday @ (2:00 PM Eastern | 11:00 AM Pacific | 18:00 GMT)
  • Consist of free run lapping and short 10 minute practice races. All drivers welcome.

If you would like to practice any other time just let everyone know here and we shall see if we can accommodate!
