I can tell you that if you run 350/300 (or higher) that you will not be able to pass someone with min downforce on the back straight, even with a good run in their draft. I tried it last night, you just pull even with them and then they pull ahead.

Well the key to this is strategy is pulling ahead in the corners. :P

Still want an answer to : Are races in Europe supported by servers in Europe...obviously the reason for this question is the fact that I have been DISCOed from rather more than less races in the EU race. If in fact that is the case then perhaps I should defer further attempts until ... Well I really don't until when. Having said that Tenderly got bounced seconds before start...he's from Italy.
I really wanted to race....sux.

NA Race Room Open.

Recommend getting in early because we had a lot of invisicars last week and also need the latest OS update installed before you can sign in.

We don't know *exactly* how it works, but we know it's peer-to-peer, so if your connection struggles to keep up with the long round trip network distances to all the others who were mostly in Europe, then I could believe it has to do with "location of the majority of the other drivers". But Roamer is also on this side of the world and he didn't DC. We've also had lots of other cases where a NA person joins an EU lobby with no issues. I know you said you only get DC'd from WRS races, but you've also said that you've been having network issues (outside of GT) lately as well. Maybe the PSN is still a little flakey like it was last week. It's hard to know for sure.

I can check my internet specs if it helps...

Go on without me probs won't make it in time. I believe that puts Kev on pole. :P

Had a great time tonight...especially when Strop arranged to come back and play :P

Not only is Bart fairly quick (ya think?) but he has hidden skills in the logo department.

Here is his creation for the FGTA WGTC (World Grand Touring Car Championship) Team he created. Now if the UK Server (or whatever the H it is ) will let me play...(like tonight...wasn't that cool to DRIVE....NOT GET DISCOed ).. I just might learn while having so much fun that it must be illegal.

One of you ought to jump on the remaining slot....with Four WRSers we'll have em all right where we want em ....outnumbered 4 to 28

Have some pictures of yesterday's race, mighty mess at the first lap: Six cars at that narrow track in less than 200 meters, bart in the grass, tenderly on the other side, strop, hector, otaku and me trying to find a way through...the replay is just sick, I only saw them after I took the turn and couldn't hit the brakes on time, it's a miracle I got through that, 1mm from bart and just right of the other guys. I'll post that part but have no idea how to edit video guys
Amazing race

Unless you have a capture card, you won't be able to edit the video to just show that segment. Do you have one. I could do the editing if you do.

Saddly I don't own a capture card my friend...
Gtplanet is working funny isn't it? Or am I the only one?

These are the pics, bear in mind I'm no expert at this
Nürburgring 24h.jpg

I'm the one far back, Patrick, Strop, Hector and Otaku entering the turn I still hadn't seen the incident...

I turn left not having enough time to brake for the guys in front of me, only to find bart on the grass

That's the same moment different view,

Missed Bart by the skin of my teeth...

And landed right behind Strop....

Definitely chaos. I apologise for being the root of the problem there. It was Patrick I believe who was unable to avoid me because I spun and ended up in the middle of the road in a cloud of smoke. Then we both were driving on slowly and I chose to go on the grass to make way for the drivers behind. In retrospect I could have been even more on the grass  Fortunately the contact with you, Roamer, was minor and you could continue.

I have pictures proving there was no contact in fact, missed you by literally milimeters 👍

For an 11 mile track there sure were bunches of cars all over the place. After the incident pictured above, I ended up in the back of the pack and had lots of fun working my way thru the cars I could catch. I had never raced on this track and anticipated long bouts of running all alone, that was far from what happened. @vipond and I seemed to be on each other's bumper the entire race, we had lots of fun racing down the last straight into the chicane wondering who would give :scared:.

It was almost as fun to watch that NA race as it must have been to drive it. :P I'm looking forward to Sat's race, might even need 2 rooms.

Congrats Bart on the EU win, and for allowing quite a few folks to earn their "I BEAT PASM! once" shirts in NA. :)

Congrats Jon on the NA win!

Good job Mika, Danny, Hector and Eric on your podiums! 👍

The post above was only half-done when GTP went offline for me. I've edited it to contain the rest of the results and congrats.

Honorable mention to Roamer, well done on 4th! :)
