And someone who DC's can't save the replay. I have the replay and since it's over 100MB (123MB) it won't be exportable. I'm looking into the first lap chaos and it's not looking good.

I'm really sorry for those contacts :(
You fight well!
I had great fun tonight in the WW race where I had to watch out to avoid cars on lap 1, keeping @GTP_Jammy behind me on lap 2 and 3 were we touched each other twice but he waited as a true gentleman on me even if he was faster. ....

Tried to overtake Napalm on the first lap, had some contact which led to his car loosing the line, waited til after Schumacher S's to return his position, went all the way to last place in doing so.
A million silly mistakes ruined my chances. Was behind Roesza and patrick for a while, but another silly mistake at flugplatz and they were gone forever.

Don't care about that. I did so many mistakes that this one accident wasnt matter.

Would it be sacrilege to suggest that this race be made a monthly or quarterly recurring race....too many people had too much fun racing and too much fun in the GREEN HELL to let it get away.

Oh god yes where do i sign up for this. Think having a combo on the nordschleife every quarter isn't even that bad of an idea.

@Friday_GTRP did you by any chance save the replay of the final lap? Our replay recording finished before the end of the race.
I'm really sorry for hitting you on the final chicane. I don't know what I was thinking. I should have let you take the position back but I Just got way too competitive. :(

I kinda understand. You held that position for couple of laps and just lost it on the final straight. You wanted to get it back.
Race stewards can adjust the final order but it's better to sort these things on the track.
I can't imagine the amount of work that goes into organizing these events. Just reviewing the race must take several hours.

And as far as regular events at the Ring - yeah, I love the idea. I think the GT300 car was spot on. I would probably enjoy something even slower, like Civic or Integra touring car.

Maybe, for a punishment, they can knock me back a certain amount of places on the grid behind you for the next race. I dunno, they can do what they want because I know I was wrong.

I"m in where do I sign...a subchapter of Wrs maybe? Let's try to find a way to make it happen guys

But...those who are opposed are missing the point (IMHO)...this race drew a FULL ROOM. And looked like going to two. This is a RARE occurrence. Since I joined in Feb I think there have been TWO. When you hit on a great combo..(.and I for one as the last guy on the handicap list...love both the car and especially the track which Jackie Stewart, a 'Ring meister, called..the best motor racing circuit in the world ) do not throw it into the dust bin. Perhaps a separate series "Ring Meister" run every other week on say Sunday in the WW time slot, leaving plenty of room for Special Events.

http://www.nurburgringexplorer.com for the names and descriptions...and video of EACH corner....all the major ones in the 143. BTW there used to be FOURTEEN JUMPS for fast cars. You really need to know the name...thanks to @mr_lab_rat for making me feel totally ignorant about the names :dunce:

Different subject..hey you TT guys....please go try the Special event f3 at Silverstone you are gonna love it...no matter how fast or slow you are.

Off to TT

OK, finally, results for the WW race, along with some unfortunate penalties.

Congrats Bart on the comeback sure-to-be-2nd, then gifted win by Danny's unfortunate DC on the last lap. Better luck next time, Danny. 👍
Well-done Mika and Ricki on the podiums! 👍

Penalties
@gtp_Tenderly DQ for a blatant hit-n-run 3'30 into lap 1
@Gameratwork99 (darren) DQ for a blatant hit-n-run at the final chicane on the final lap
@Masterhec 30sec major for avoidable contact causing an off during an overtake 4'40 into lap 1

Darren and tenderly are on last chance status. If you receive a major 30sec or DQ in the next 2 months, you will be placed on probation/suspension for a period of time to be determined.

@mclarenf176's involvement with @jammy21's spin in the wake of tenderly's carnage was determined to be lag punt. My replay & Jammy's replay show that there was contact, but mclaren's replay shows no contact, so he rightly assumed that Jammy had spun do to avoiding the wreck. It was a very close call, but mclaren's replay also showed no damage to his car afterward.

And here's the merged results:

Lucas did you get to see the contact between Napalm and me on lap 1? I gave back the position but I'm still not sure if I really had to...

No, I didn't have time to watch everyone's race, of course. These are things to bring up right after the race if you have a concern. In this case it sounds like you'd just like to know for learning purposes, not for a change in results, so maybe another steward can take a look and get back to you.

That's exactly it. I really don't care about positions at all. Just trying to figure out what the limits are. I was perfectly happy going from 13th to last if that's what it takes to be fair and clean. I couldn't tell for sure whose fault the contact was after the maneuver so I decided to wait after the schumacher S to let everyone pass safely. But it looked like a normal race contact to me, so if anyone has the time to check it out I would be grateful.
Got it about the timing, I'll do it after the race next time 👍

Had some great races on the green hell and made A race report of it, this i do every week so I can see how to be a better driver by viewing the replays.

On thing the reports are in dutch but maybe google translate can help.

The report from this WRS you can find here http://roeszagt.frlk.nl/wp/?p=780

Good job from the stewards, they made some hard disicions.

Great report. I was gonna make fun of Jammy's and Patrick's kissing accident but then I made love to the guardrail before Karussell all by myself :)

Yes great report. It's always fun trying to figure out what a translating bot is trying to say too :D

I took a look quickly at lap 1 hairpin before Schumacher with you and @Napalm_LT. To me it looks like you were correct in giving the spot back, although doing so earlier might have lost you less positions. You had not established any overlap with him until the braking zone, and since you hit him at the apex it's hard to judge whether the brake point you chose would have even worked with zero traffic. Hence I'd call it a divebomb, which is not allowed.

Thanks for checking Lucas, and the explanation is very helpful for me to establish which maneuvers are appropriate and which aren't. I understand what you say about giving back the spot too, it was also that I took some seconds to decide I was better off last than punished or seen as too agressive...

To be fair, I deserve this status for what I did. I'm really sorry for all of this inconvenience. I will, from now on, not get competitive and will not care where I come in each race. I think I will take a break form WRS. I'm really scared to race now at this status. I'm really not a bad guy everyone. I really hope you all understand this. :(

For a long time I did the races not worrying at all about where I would finish, my goal was to just figure out how to drive around other cars in a way that conformed to the rules and stay on the track. In a race you have to adjust how you drive as compared to a TT. You may have to brake earlier than normal to compensate for the driver in front of you,who may brake earlier than you would . At times it can be frustrating being behind someone you are faster than, but it is also an opportunity to learn how to race closely and look for a clean opportunity to pass. I would not just drop out of the races, I just might change what your expectations and goals for the week are. If you do that, you will get better at racing and have more fun.

@Gameratwork99 (darren) DQ for a blatant hit-n-run at the final chicane on the final lap
I will, from now on, not get competitive and will not care where I come in each race.

Be competitive in a race but there is the OLR rules which applies to these race's.

07: Contact Concessions:

A:
If there's contact between drivers that results in the guilty driver making up places on the innocent driver, the guilty driver should immediately allow the innocent driver to pass freely to re-establish their position. This rule should be observed, even if it means the guilty driver has to allow drivers not involved in the incident to pass while waiting for the driver they contacted.

B:
If the appropriate contact concession is carried out by the guilty driver then they may avoid or reduce the severity of any penalties that might otherwise apply.

C:
If the appropriate contact concession is not carried out by the guilty party then the usual penalties would apply.

D:
If you have to slow down to let the other player through, move out of the racing line first before you slow down. Coming to a full stop is not allowed, just continue at a lower pace until the other driver passes you again.

Mistakes happen in race's but if you had followed the OLR you would not of been DQ, there is some very competitive driver's in WRS but keeping to the OLR keeps them clean and fun.
