Could someone post here when quali has started? If there is either a slight delay in start for this, or my other race starts slightly ahead if schedule. I may be able to make it.

@mr_lab_rat I just ran some with jonjig and a few others, times were in low 37s, with one high 36. I must have improved since my last test on line. @jonjig that was a fun race we had, never more than a second difference in 12 laps. I can not decide on pit strategy, maybe just watch those in front and then decide.

WOW that was awesome to read back. This was 2009 over 5 years ago. Somethings in life you never forget and this is one of them for me.

I remember the beginning of my WRS adventure very well. I had to qualify with the F430 at Suzuka and drove my ass off. And i thought i was the best driver in the world  You can imagine how disappointed i was when the results came in and i was in D3B  I putted WRS aside and continued my own thing with. I was more into online racing at that time. Till i met Eric (@Rikson) and persuaded me to join a TT event, over several TT's with a Dutch vs U.K forum. After that i was hooked on TT-ing and came back to WRS and started my journey and eventually ended up where i am today. Those days i looked up to the D1 guys and where an example for me. If i could be as fast as them one day. Not saying am as fast as some of the guys you see there (in the links) but some of them i can keep up with pretty good and even beaten some once or twice.

But i could never done it without this forum and help of some of the guys. Shame the most of them are never seen again.

Thanks for digging those up Kev 👍 And all the time and effort you putted in WRS for so many years
And the other staff members.

That was a trip down :gtpflag: memory lane

I was just wondering why does PD doesn't inform us how much liter the fuel tank contains. Isn't part of car specs specially in racing :boggled:

We're at 16 confirmed now.

The reserves need to confirm within the next 90min to let us know that we'll need 2 rooms:

@skyline1683 @Nail-27 @OpticZero @LLOYDZELITE69 @et_

Best for @Mini Stiggy to stay on reserve, as he has no way of knowing whether he'll make it. But yes, we'll post when quali is starting, if there's any spots open in the room(s).

Well my foray into wgtc at Bathurst was brief. Changing to will attend today. i lagged out during qually at Bathurst. All that work....

I had to work hard to keep up, you run at such a pace.. 👍 surprised my tyres kept grip even after pushing so hard...

Strategy's strategies  , now that's a tough choice..

Every car in GT6 holds 100 litres(or kilo), current refueling speed allows for approximately 35 litres in the same time as a tyre change.

Reactions: DTM
Remember: Weaving back and forth on the straight to avoid draft is not permitted.

10: Defensive Driving:

A:
Leading cars have the right to choose their own line down a straight. They can change their racing line once while driving down a straight (Move from the outside line to the inside, or vice versa). As they approach the next corner, they can return to the racing line of their choice However, they're not allowed to change their line when the behind driver is directly behind and changes his line to try and make a pass. If your movement causes an accident, you're responsible.

B:
Leading cars have the right to take their line of choice through corners. I.e. they may drive a defensive line around the inside of a corner to protect their position, thereby forcing an attacking driver to try to pass around the outside. This is not blocking and is part of normal racing etiquette. In fact, apart from the restrictions of rule 10:A, a leading driver can drive any line which they feel is the most inconvenient for any following car to try to pass them.

C:
Drivers that are about to get lapped have to make sure not to interfere with the lapping cars. Slow down on the straights on either side of the track or maintain the outside line during cornering. If for whatever reason you happen to be on the inside line when being overtaken, stay on the inside line until all drivers that were about to lap you have passed. You are not allowed to deliberately block the lapping cars.

Quali starts at 2 pm PST.

How is the group spilt. In half, 9 - 9 taken in handicap order?

Had a play with Kev's 2.1 tune, and made it more stable under acceleration out of corners.

Going to have to back out.....

Turned PlayStation on after earlier practice and I've got the Yellow Light Of Death.... Just done a full strip down, but was not able to fix the issue..

Have a good race, looks like I'm not going to be competing for a while :(

I can make it, but I don't know if I would be able to do the whole race... So I won't be coming. :/ have fun :)

OK @LLOYDZELITE69 thanks for letting us know.

I'm remaking the A room with Standard race quality, I had it on High and DTM and Rikson kept DC'ing.

Quali starts at 2 pm PST.
I meant when it actually started. Because if it started a little bit late, I might have been able to make it.

Anyway, sorry for having to go after qualifying and wasting your guy's time.

We have a lot of new participants, and it's a good time to remind everyone about some common courtesy and our expectations related to the races. We appreciate the high levels of attendance, and want everyone to have a good time. That means everyone needs to keep the entire grid in mind, and remember how their actions affect others. Some observations from today -

  • We had a lot of folks who registered late, or did not confirm attendance until the last minute. That makes it difficult on the admin staff when deciding room splits, and can cause disruption for folks who show up on time, if they are forced to change rooms. We understand that schedules change, and the weekends are particularly troublesome. Please just do your best to confirm as soon as you can and stick with your commitment.
  • Speaking of schedules, if you can't make it into the room until at or after the race start time, that's really not our problem, it's your problem. Again, we appreciate the participation. But at the same time, it's rude and disruptive to your fellow racers to even think about requesting that they wait an extra 5 or 10 minutes for you to finish what you are doing and bother to show up. If you can't make it before qualification start time, don't show up.
  • We also welcome members to join the lobby and watch the races. But we expect people who want to watch the race to also show up before the qualification start time. It's disruptive to your fellow registry members, and can potentially cause instability in connections if you show up in the middle of qualification or the race. If you can't make it before the start time, please don't join the room.
  • Microphones are a handy way to communicate in the room, and add to the sense of community. That said, they are for use before and after the race. If you don't have the ability to mute your mic, don't use it. If you do have the ability, mute it from the start of qualification until the last racer has finished. In the event that you want to communicate to a racer which side to pass you on, or other useful information that will keep the race clean, you can un-mute your mic and quickly make your comment. If this will cause you to lose control of your car, don't do it.
Again, thanks to everyone for the solid participation, and a big welcome to all the new racers. Have fun, and keep it clean.
