sorry guys, I lost my internet this afternoon.
No problem, and I was not calling out any one member (that's why I tagged ALL registrants). I was definitely frustrated with the number of issues I saw, but also understand that you guys are new to all of this. We just want everyone to have fun and for things to run as smoothly as possible.

Does anyone ever post videos of these races? Thanks for the great events and hard work to all those involved.

Thanks for the coverage, @Animera

That was an epic race.

Great battles with you. And thanks to @et_ and @DTM for being nice when passing a guy with no tires. :P

This combo is incredible, @EDK :D

Great driving all around.

Signed up as a reserve for EU and NA races on Wednesday. Will almost certainly be able to make one or the other depending on my schedule.

This is my first ever on-line race, so please be very very gentle with me.

finally got my internet squared away. Will be registering for one of the events on Wednesday for sure later this afternoon.

Registered for EU. This combo was definitely quite a lot of fun to race on; can't wait to race it with all of you guys!

Confirmed for EU.

I'm going to open a practice room this evening probably between 6pm and 7pm Central (23:00-24:00 GMT). I want to run some laps on worn tires to get a little feel. Please join if you like. I can move those times an hour in either direction if necessary.

Also...were most folks pitting once or twice in Saturday's race?

I can answer that. :dopey: I believe 1-stop is about 10sec faster, if you are comparing apples to apples.

Congrats @et_ on another win, and to @Pringles947 on his first win in the B room.

Anthem for Pringles947's first win:

I had a blast of a race. Battled with @Animera for quite a few laps, and then steadily watching the wolves (@et_ and @DTM) close in, only to have them taken out in an accident. Then watching them close in again. Good fun.

I was afraid of that. My goal is something a bit faster than "DNF" or "DQ", so I don't know how I feel about running a dozen laps on spent tires. Will have to do a little experimenting tonight.

This car performs surprisingly well on worn tires. If you do 2 stops and pit every 12 laps you will be fine, if you go for one stop by the end of the run front left is a 2, I did a one stop and at end of stint my times were about 4 seconds slower. I would pick a strategy you are most comfortable with, I would not do more than 2 stops though.

Shame i had an pretty lonely race. Think i was 95% on my own. Only fun thing was chasing Lucas Ian and et_ after the accident that et_ causes with about 10 laps to go. Was hoping to for a close battle all the way.

@vsfit here is a video of one of the best race i ever had. Battling it out with Bart all the way. It's is an old one but worth watching imo.

Good time. I had some issues getting out of the starting blocks. Hopefully I won't be too much of a screw up in the rolling start tomorrow.

@roamer2629 did a nice job taking the inside line on the 1st couple of turns ahead of me one lap. The AI never does that.

Well that's what we are here for :D
I was feeling the exact same way some weeks ago when I started racing Alex, and I'm still getting used to racing real people in fact. I behave a little bit more carefully on races though :scared:

I really didn't like the car on worn tires. The problem is that the performance dropped as soon as they went to 9. So there is a good chance they didn't suck any more at 3 than they did at 5 :)
I was very tempted to go for one stopper because I had good battle with Patrick but then stuck to the original two stop plan.

I think I had as much fun running neck and neck with roamer2629 for one lap, and losing, as I did winning every a spec race in career mode.
The races should be awesome. 👍

If you can run 12 laps error free you're good for 2 stops, 18 laps for 1 stop. If you make both races you could try both strategies!

Also everyone be careful into turn 1, you can brake really early and still not lose much time.

I feel pretty good about running 138s and 9s 12 laps at a time. We'll see how that goes tomorrow. I'll see about running the NA race, only problem is my adrenaline gets so jacked up I may not have it in me to go through that twice in one day!
