That's bad, ruz :(

Try to start into safe mode - press and hold the power button. It should turn off again with a beep. Then press and hold the power button again. It should start up with a double beep. Now I hope you see a menu - reset settings, repeat the power hold procedure, then restore FS and finally the Database - if nothing helps your HDD might be dead...

good luck, mate!!

dont think it is a HDD issue because as soon as the green light comes up it turns in less than 5 secs.off not even red light is displayed on the PS3 panel. I can't put it into safe mode because the green light doesn't stay on.

It's sounds like what happened to mine , turned out to be a burnt out switch in the power module inside the PS3 but caused to much damage to warrant fixing so I just got a new one

If your half decent with fixing things I would say open up your PS3 give the internals a good clean from dust and check for any burn marks or damage , you could be lucky and it may just be dust messing up the connections

I'm hosting a track testing lobby in the WRS lobby. You're all welcome!

to go into safe, mode hold the on button when switching on and keep holding til you hear a second set of beeps, this will then go into safe mode, it may be a HDD, failure, my issue in past was the system would turn but not load games, could play games from Hard drive, my fault was a a problem reading info from dics, was technically a HDD fault but just the disk reading part, rest of system worked fine, music etc, good luck.

Thanks for the reply. I had a HDD failure 2 years back , but this issue seemed to be power supply related, tried various fixes . But it did not get fixed. So no PS3 :(
Moved to PS4 early this month , waitibg for GT Sport . :)

@Antares26 and @Cobra75 You need to go to your GT6 community tab and go to settings. Enable the setting to accept messages from non-friends, so I can send you the invite for the WRS community 👍

Hi there , looking at registration for the up coming race 6th Jan ! But not sure on car colour etc..is there a link? Ty

Mine were enabled, I did it again so if we give it another try?
Still wont send. Getting the message "We're sorry, but due to the user's status you are unable to send this invitation."

What ever colour you choose to paint your car, just click on the colour you have picked on the form when you register for the race.
You can leave it blank if you have not decided on a colour.

Please try again, did it all over again.. Some glitch perhaps ?
Still getting the same message.

Just double checking your PSN exactly "Cobra75" ?

If yes could you double check your settings to allow none friends to send messages by going into settings on the playstation (xmb) main screen please (not in GT6).

Yup, send me a friend request. You can always take it away later if you want

Not sure how to send a friend request from the laptop. You can send a Friend request to "GTP_WRS". You might have to wait for someone to access that account from a PS3 if I cannot find it on a Laptop. Ill be around for another 15 min if you can get it done before then.

Ok you will have to wait till someone has access to the GTP_WRS account on there PS3 as you cannot add or send friend request from the laptop. I dont know when that will be though as a few Admins are away and are busy.

Never had this problem before once messages were allowed from non friends on the XMB screen .

No problems, I can't find anything wrong here either. Could be that I have my PS3 and ps4 running at the same time but I don't think that is the issue

A quick luck and I found a video from Youtube which has your psn on "cobra75" not "Cobra75" ;), invite has been sent and ill change your psn on the database.

Guys though I should let you all know I'll be offline for a few weeks so no running for me. The engineers who repair and install lines in my area have totally 🤬 up mine and about another 100 homes in my area. first it started as a bad connection then on the last EU race I was at it went totally. They where installing a new line to, it turns out, my neighbours house and some how while laying the line they cut everyone off 🤬 idiots. I was nearly thinking of trying to fix it myself during the night. I've been told 2 weeks since wed's past hope to be back then.

We'll miss ya Dee, but hopefully they will have it fixed soon.. I haven't been racing much lately myself, but might get back to a more normal racing schedule in a couple weeks myself.. Cheers..

Guys:

I have a question for all of you:

How did you guys choose your racing numbers? Is it random, or is there a story to it, or do you just like the number?

I'll start with my number, 45:

I chose the number when I was at a local fair located near a highway about 3 or 4 years ago. There was one ripoff carnival game where there was a wheel with the numbers 1-60 on it. I asked my dad for 50 cents and then played the game. I put that 50 cents on the number 45, and the person there spun the wheel. I told my dad "I have a one in 60 chance of winning this.", and that got him thinking that I chose 60. As the wheel slowed down and it passed 60 as it was about to stop, my dad thought I lost. However, he stopped paying attention to the wheel and eventually it stopped on the number 45! It took him a moment to realize that I picked 45, and he took a moment to connect the dots of me jumping around and screaming that I won. It's been my racing number ever since.

And slightly off topic, for the name, I picked 45 (as for my racing number), and the third digit (8), was randomly chosen.

 JT I've got back online, I'm normally easy going but after some aggro from me towards my ISP 2 weeks turned into a week. Still not sure it's working fine till I get racing. Hope to see you on track soon, always good. My final assignment is due next week then I'm taking 7 months off before starting my final year. Point is  I'll have more time for racing so expect some coffee fueled NA appearances with maybe the odd Pack race 👍
