Wow, immortal, pasm, doodle, myself, ghostdriver, lozza, mcsq, ayhancan, and now aug! the driver lineup is fierce!!

Yeah, it's a crazy driver line up! The competition in these races is going to be so intense!

On another note, I'm still a little bit unsure about the specs for the Z. The acceleration seems to be noticeably better than the other cars and I would say that it's significant enough to improve lap times. I will test this further today if I get time and let you know what I find. This was a problem when these specs were made initially, but we ran cars with around 514bhp so it was possible to run the Z without turbo 2! If anyone else has any further ideas please share. I'm not only saying this because the Z's are topping the time sheets, I'm sure these guys would be at the top anyway, it's just in the interest of fairness!

Reminders
As a few drivers have come from a different series which use the OLR but have a different interpretation regarding contact.

WRS Online Contact Concession

  • A:
If there's contact between drivers that results in the guilty driver making up places on the innocent driver, the guilty driver should immediately (ASAP) allow the innocent driver to pass freely to re-establish their position. This rule should be observed, even if it means the guilty driver has to allow drivers not involved in the incident to pass while waiting for the driver they contacted.
  • D:
If you have to slow down to let the other player through, move out of the racing line first before you slow down. Coming to a full stop is not allowed, just continue at a lower pace until the other driver passes you again.
Please do this in a safe manner, if needs be a few corners later is ok if it is going to cause chaos behind you. Common sense is your best friend in this matter.

Formation Lap
  • No tyre warming allowed
  • Staggered Formation, no overlaps
  • 62 mph / 100kph final sector formation speed, please maintain a steady speed before the final sector.
  • You must not accelerate until the car in front does so.
  • Also the formation is a good lag detector, if you see other drivers jumping around a few times and you are not you are generally suffering from lag, dropping to the back of the grid, hanging back and been patient for a lap or two and the issue can go away, doing this helps everyone have a better experience and gives the effected driver a chance to have a lag free race.

Its going to be a fight just to get into Room 1 👍. There's also a couple more there who might surprise you with there pace ;).
I never get suprised anymore, even when drivers outperform my expectations of them. :)

Practice lobby is open again. I will hold regular 5 lap test races.

Ok so I did some testing focusing on the pace of the Nissan Z. From what I've found, for me it is around 0.2-0.3 seconds quicker per lap straight out the box, this was with a questionable setup as I have very little experience with the Z, with a decent setup the gap would be more. After just 7 laps I had beaten my time set in the Lexus, which took me 3 hours to set and I have been driving the Lexus for years. There were other drivers in the room who tested the Z and also agreed it had an unfair advantage on one lap pace (Unsure on their exact lap times). @msgt-sd was one of them. Also @PASM and @nissman agree the Z is too fast.

My suggestion at the moment would be to add 30kgs ballast to the Z, when I tested it with 30kgs on my laptimes were on average the same as the Lexus. Obviously this needs testing by others and I'm aware it's too late to make any BOP changes for this weeks race, but I think it's something that needs addressing.

On a lighter note, really looking forward to the race tonight! Getting into to division 1 is going to be a tough task, hoping to be in the top 10, but lots of people haven't posted their times yet, so we'll see!

Practice lobby open.

Also, quick question.. What time do we need to join the room? Does qualifying take place at 20:00GMT, or is that race start time?

From my own testing earlier today I'd agree with that margin, considering the Z has 50 extra torques and a much better powerband i'm actually surprised it's not much quicker!

Can't wait to have my butt kicked in 7 hours

I think I have registered correctly, I will do some testing later and then see you all tonight! :D

So what was decided on the Z then ???
It eats up tires and fuel quicker than the other cars..

The Z will stay the same specs for this race as its to late to change them.

There will be a review of the specs over a few days after the Suzuka race.

@Gravitron can I get an invite to the club? Thought I had it on this account, I guess not.

Yes, that's 17 in room B, it will have to be first-come, first-served, and then we'll reshuffle after quali. Sorry if some people don't get to race. :(
