@Gravitron Yep, that's the Fez I was talking about.:/

@millross Unfortunately I only play through about 3 games a year, and haven't played any of those. I just signed up for ps+ though, and it's making it much easier to try games I may not have looked at before.

Played some of Thomas Was Alone, just finished Brothers, A Tale of Two Sons, and now Fez. All great games I would never have gotten around to.

@Cats_PJs

@Gravitron and I had dinner at Fliying Fish brew pub in Olympia, as documented here. :P

One of the "Appetizer" items on the menu was Poutine, with Wisconsin cheese curds. So I suggested we should ask you about it. :lol:

Might be I should be asking one of our true north of border friends about it.

@Allibubba99
@AspecBob
@mr_lab_rat
@mike_gt3
@mohitraina91

And I'm sure I forgot some, plus it looks like it's regional. I wanted to keep my arteries intact, but what say you guys?

I guess you guys already went through Portal 1 and 2 twice right? Best puzzle game I've seen in a long, long time.
And let's just say I completed Riven twice, one on Mac one on PS...
Fez reviews look great but I'm starting my own business soon and have no money for important things like games, gear, or single malt right now...

@EDK Poutine is not for me, tried it once! I am sure it will clog your arteries up real nice!!!!!! I think we have Quebec to blame for it! :D

I grew up in one of the (2 or 3) towns that claims to be the place where it all started (Victoriaville, famous also for its hockey sticks). I've eaten my fair share as a teen (the "Italian" version, especially), back when it was still a very regional thing. Amazed to see it has now reached the west coast! Of course, like everything else, there are good and bad versions of it... Unfortunately, my favourite place is no more and I haven't found another one yet where it is as good. At my age, though, might as well...

Yeah Portal is sweet. Tbh I'm a sucker for puzzle games & racing games...but that's about it. I do try and play the good ones though :D

I'd recommend trying out Braid if you like to 'think' (Nothing ever made me think so much...) - it's not very expensive either, cheaper than a good 12yo Scotch Whisky, less physically brutal too if you spend a few hours with it ;)

Not much info on poutine from me either. I live in Canada but I was born in Czech Republic. I could tell you that Czech cousine has variety of items that make poutine look like healthy food though.
And I've been in living in Canada long enough to blame everything on Quebec too :D

I can for sure agree to blame Quebec for not allowing us to take part to GT Academy :mad: :lol:

@EDK
Daniel @AspecBob is about right, i lived in Victoriaville for 2 years for school and i was hearing about that all the time, if you ever go to Montreal theres a restaurant called ''La Banquise'' its one of the best place from what i heard for the poutine... :D

Hello, I am still fairly new here to the WRS and I was just wondering how and when my division and such will be determined? I have ran three TTs so far so hopefully I will know fairly soon. I also don't quite understand the handicap system, how does it work and where can I wasily view my (current?) handicap?

I don't know if this is the absolute best place to pose such questions but any answers you have would be appreciated. Thanks!

Once your 3 TT replays have been verified as clean and the results are made final. Results are normally made final the Monday 7 days after the results post.

So, you'll most likely receive your division placement next Monday.

Is there any way (where) I can view my handicap and determine my division right now? Replays have been verified. Thanks for the quick answer.

@EDK

Never had it myself, I can only tolerate about 3 cheese curds per sitting. I'm not a very good example of a Wisconsinite, I also gave up eating anything that caused the death of a cow. Nothing against cows, they're quite tasty, but I deliver to a processing plant occasionally and their big sad eyes bored a hole into the sensitive side of my brain.

Chickens ain't so lucky.

Go look at what your 3 handicaps were in those 3 events. Then (see bolded below):

EDK
What Happens Once I've Registered?:
Once your registration has been accepted by the WRSFetchBot, you are welcome to begin competing in our current Time Trial event, found in this forum. Participation in time trial events, as detailed below, will be required for initial division placement.

  • Be sure and post your splits in the race thread, as detailed in the event instructions.
  • When you first begin competing, your assigned division shown in the official registry and on our leaderboard will be "Rookie".
  • Rookies can run events as normal, but they will be placed in a temporary division based on their handicap result for that individual event.
  • Once 3 events have been successfully run (verified as clean), participants will lose their Rookie status, and their initial handicap will be the average of these three events. This will determine their initial division placement.
  • Some events will not give full event credit for Rookie placement. These will be clearly identified in the event rules and results.

I've figured it out. Thanks to the both of you. Had to figure out the cutoffs for each division though, which is 0.333 difference per division if I'm not mistaken.

Brilliant. You made my day :lol:

I've been missing from WRS for awhile but I just figured I'd stop in to say that I've always loved poutines. Taste varies heavily from place to place. Some overcook their fries, some have gravy that is far too salty and some try to be skimpy with the cheese :lol:. Once you find a place that make all three parts well though :drool:.

You're not trying for 200% are you!?

Impressive stuff, Baron.

Did you print out a language cypher? ;-)

In GTP_Insatiable news - My PS3 has been unplugged since Destiny came out as I bought a PS4 bundle with it. It does have a pathetic storyline, though ;-)
I am addicted to Strike and Skirmish mode, as well as general loot-whoring. Also going to get Driveclub I think.

I've got a completely new PSN for my PS4 - any Destiny/Driveclub players? Add me! - 'NoveltyHuman'

@millross No printing of cyphers, but my wife acted as my research department, and was gainfully employed.

See you when you're done saving the universe, or ending it? I'm not sure about the story.

I'm a bit addicted to Destiny as well.

Same acc on there - GTP_iainoflo - those who are also part of Destiny Addicts Anonymous add me and we'll do some strikes.

I'm getting a ps4 for christmas and my ps3 characters will transfer over. I'll add you. Right now I have a 24 Hunter, 20 warlock and 11 Titan.
Got my first exotic (Hard Line auto rifle) yesterday as well as a legendary helm from the queens bounties. Soon as the exotic vendor shows up, I may get a piece for my hunter and an exotic engram.
This game....

Blimey. I've got a lvl 25 warlock but that's it. 12 strange coins too, one shy of an exotic 'thing' from the guy with the weird face who shows up at the weekend.

It's addictive for sure!

Tentacle face! I'm not real sure how to play the game once it's beaten, i know one thing though.. if the cryptarch decodes one more legendary into a green or blue, I'm going to shoot him with a Gjallarhorn.
Are you doing the Heroic strikes or just regular ones? It says i unlocked nightfall strikes, but i don't have the gear to attempt it lol

Yeah I'm growing tired of that. It always downgrades my premier cru to a cheap merlot - or even a can of fosters sometimes.....

I only do the standard strikes - no friends of a high enough level for the others.

I think at level 25, you should be able to do the level 22 heroic strikes by yourself.
You can go to www.destinylfg.net to find players for heroic/nightfall strikes.

Haha, I tried that - the problem is getting overrun and finding yourself in the wrong place. You need the extra people for diversion, despite the fact I can take on 10 enemies at once, I can't take on 30, not when it's got the Heroic modifier set. I could probably grind away and work out a way to get it done, but I'm not that determined ;-)
