I have no idea why it took me so long to register premium account. I guess it's not being advertised much and I had to dig the info up in the FAQ section. I mainly did it to support this awesome site but getting rid off the ads is great bonus.

Such speedy
So good deed
Many no ads
Wow

While surfing I came upon a, to me, unknown British artist who has the knack to capture the essence of what racing is.

Welcome to the world of Jonathan Carter....

He has titled this "Michael Delaney", but we know who this is. Michael Delaney was the character created by Steve McQueen for his movie "le Mans" which I view just before the race every year. His favorite quote crosses the bottom.

From Le Mans (1971)
Lisa Belgetti: When people risk their lives, shouldn't it be for something very important?
Michael Delaney: Well, it better be.
Lisa Belgetti: But what is so important about driving faster than anyone else?
Michael Delaney: Lotta people go through life doing things badly. Racing's important to men who do it well. When you're racing, it's life. Anything that happens before or after is just waiting.

:tup:Hi guys...as a reult of being under the wx I have had all sorts of time to surf...which has led to the finding of many great pictures. Some are new some are old...some are really old ( like me 🤬).

For tonight here is a picture of true race driver happyness. From Twitter.

I love the Rolex Daytona. Great watch. Maybe I'll be able to afford one in like 10 years.

SPOILER! đź‘Ž Just kidding, Ned. :P

It's pretty cool how they posted most of it on Youtube already. đź‘Ť

yeah but most people out there (present company excepted) don't even have a clue as to what car he was driving much less who he is nor where he finished...oh yeah...the watch...excuse me "THE WATCH"...they give the watch to somebody for some reason don't they. lol.

.....ok here's another...not so current....a car we should have in the game. Check out the La Source hairpin circa 1967...no pits....no grid...no nothing. Car driven by Phil Hill and Mike Spence in the Spa 1000K..DNF Transmission. They did however give Ford and Ferrari a run for their money at Le Mans where Gurney and Foyt won. They did, win the BOAC 6 hours at Brands. It's the 2F...three pedals...Gas...Brake....Wing.....

The force feedback of my wheel faded away completely in the 2nd part of the last 2 races I've done and I'm pretty sure it was because the wheel was overheating. I haven't had this wheel for a long time at all, so it's really disappointing. Considering the problems I've had with various other wheels, it's worrying me. My settings in GT6 are as following:
Force feedback: 3
Force feedback sensivity: 8

Is the FFB sensivity too high? I wonder what others are using.

I'm using FFB 6 with sensitivity 10 on an almost 7 year old (knock on wood) G25 that's still giving decent FFB.

You are probably looking for input from other TM wheel users but I run 5/9 on very old Logitech DFP. My understanding is that TM users typically need to run very low FFB strength (1-3) to achieve similar level of FFB.

I am using 1/5

I always have used lower FFB settings from the moment I started using my T500RS, I am very happy with the wheel and up till now I never encountered any problems.....

That's awesome.đź‘Ť

That last bit is true. I would probably like a slightly higher setting, but I'm keeping it at 3 to save the FFB motor.

I was very happy with it too. I tried 3/3 last night and it felt pretty good and hopefully it lasts for longer periods as well.

If you're all able to use higher settings, it's clearly a problem though. I may have to open it up to see if there's any dust inside.

In case you were on the dark side of the moon last night, Nissan/Nismo unveiled the new NISMO GTP LM1. Here is the advert from the Super Bowl, which in and of itself was both wonderful and moving to those who race, or wish to do so.

In case you missed it. Here is the best Superbowl commercial ever. End of Story.

Sorry broken link. Go to youtube NismoTv. All three adds are there.

Below is what they announced if you were watching closely. The media was released sinultaneously with press realease. Front engined, front wheel drive, big front tires, smaller rears. The Delta Wing designer was instrumental in its design. Its been named GODZILLA by the Engineering Press.

Shameless double post.....

New subject...the field for LeMans has been realeased 14 LMP 1s entered...included THREE...count'em 3. Nissan GT-R LMs now unofficially nicknamed Uber Godzillas....and you can never accuse Nissan of having an ineffective PR department....the GREAT add in the Super Bowl comes to mind.

The latest PR coup......

Pole sitter at The Mountain.

Audi number 1, Lambo 2, and Godzilla 3 (GT Academy Guys)
Race live streamed @1 central. Coverage starts at 0530 local in OZ ( Sydney Time)

And a correction: the Japanese Press calls the Nismo GT3 GT-R Godzilla
and they call the Nismo GT LMP1 Uber Godzilla

Looking forward to seeing that Nissan LMP1 car at Silverstone this April in person! It sounds bonkers, just hope it's ready and runs well.

Yeah Baby! " Monster Chiyo " in Godzilla over the top of the mountain ...last lap....alone....watch the highlights. Thanks to Aussie Channel 7 for the stream....watched every single minute ( even when the feed crashed ). Remember where you saw Kat Chiyo's name for the first time...he is Magic. He passed the VERY FAST Audi on the resart with two laps to go, then he passed the Bentley into two on the same lap ( drove by him like he was tied to a stump)....and vanished up the track in dominating fashion. And the press from Radio Lemans for GT Academy was great...the boys were FAST....all three of them....for 12 hours.

Whew...not bad for a bunch of couch potato gamers....

Edit: they were first OVERALL and first in the Amateur class ( one silver, Chiyo, and two bronzes who are usually gentleman drivers...but in this case, two gamers who will not be bronze for long.)

Attendance was up 6,000 to 32,000.... No I did not forget a zero. Bathurst is three hours into the bush west of Sydney...in the beginning of nowhere.( there is a serious ammount of nowhere in Australia. :P)
