There we 370 participants in the original Prologue qualifier, and there were 385 participants for the GT5 qualifier. I think that gives a better understanding of how GT5 matches up.

Yes, the registry had grown to nearly double the size, but there are many, many people who were not active on the registry and many who would no longer be active on the site.

Its a lot closer than i had imagined! I wonder what percentage were new to GTPrologue as opposed to those who came from GT4. Similarly I wonder the same ratio of those qualifying for GT5. Interesting stuff but its just numbers hey. The popularity of this new WRS will ultimately be decided by week in week out attendances. 385 every week would be nice :) Well, probably not for you or Vaxen :lol:

By the way I havent said how great I thought the qualifier was 👍 ... I say great, in reality is was a pain in the arse! lol. I found it very difficult indeed. Took a few different approaches before I started getting results but I am happy now its over. I think I got the best out of it.

Just a side note though if you're taking on suggestions, I think the less time spent at nurburg in the WRS the better :lol: Its not called the green hell for no reason :scared:

WRS participants are, and always have been, responsible for making themselves fully aware of restrictions and parameters for events. Expecting moderators and staff to PM you information that you have not yet been willing to extract yourself from that rather well-signposted post is unrealistic, and we certainly have not been carrying out that service for any other members.

Please, do yourself a favour and read that post carefully. There are answers there regarding PSN ID and the qualifier. Not 10 threads, one thread. One post in fact.

Before you accuse me of not just putting it on a plate for you in a simple fashion, I would say to you that the Race Admin team has already put it all on a plate for you in as simple a format as possible while including all the essential information that you must read, understand and be familiar with.

Don't get offended mate, lol I have finally found time to read through the 1670 word essay just to find out a few bits of simple information to get me started. Too late now. Oh well. Maybe next season.

Besides the Qualifier will open up again for submission in a few weeks, giving you plenty of time to find your PS3 and load up GT5.

No need to wait for "another season" 👍

Just the kind of reply i'd expect. Mate i already play in a GT5 league and they run in seasons. And I know exactly where my PS3 is and GT5. But cheers anyway. lol wow so much hostility on this site you could cut it with a knife. :scared:

Glad to see you enjoyed my little Jab at you finding your PS3 :lol:. But you cant expect not to cop a little flak, especially after countless others have asked the exact same thing for the past 4 weeks.

No worries. but of course there will be the same stuff asked. On my car forums etc. people ask the same questions for years, over and over and over, sometimes even 3-4 times in a week! Just gotta help where u can and ignore em when u can't be stuffed repeating it. Lol it is actually 1670 words btw i pasted it into word lol! it's a lot, especially when I'm trying to read it *cough* at work *cough* in small bits lol. anyways, all good mate ;)
 
Only the top 10 from each division need to submit a replay once they have been notified.

As you have not been notified for a replay and are not in the top 10 you don't need to submit a replay.

Looking forward to next week and I hope I can spend some time on the combo.

So, it's been a couple weeks, and the first week for the WRS is up. Has there been any movement into re-opening the qualifier? I couldn't seem to find anything on re-opening it anywhere.
 
I still don't understand when I save my best lap replay, the time that it shows during the replay viewer is incorrect. What am I doing wrong?
 
You're not doing anything wrong matey - the time shown in the timing screen on your replay is your previous best lap, not the one the replay is actually showing. As long as the time shown on the replay in the Replay Theatre menu is correct, its the right replay.

Does that make sense..? :)
 
Well when I load up the best lap replay, the file itself shows the correct time. But when I load the replay and it shows up. It's completely wrong, when I go into the live timer monitor. It's incorrect and the lap time is different. That's why I am wondering, there has to be something I am doing wrong. Unless the splits from the incorrect lap time is my actual splits from my best lap then I don't know. It's quite frustrating because my splits are getting quicker but when I check the best lap replay it's incorrect.
 
I noticed the same thing last night. Just wait a while though, the split times you see will be over written by the replay times as it goes.. It kinda sucks though because then it doesn't show the final sector time cause it restarts a soon a the lap ends. Then to get it you have to subtract the first two from the time shown on the replay title.

Umm I still cant figure out how to watch other peoples replays.Do I just save the file to my memory stick and load onto my ps3, or do I need some program to unzip these replays on my pc before loading onto my ps3, or is there some other trick ?
Help would be appreciated or at least a point in the right direction.

No, I don't think so. I watched mine and the split time changed as soon as the replay got past that sector. I don't think it matters how many times you let the replay go, I'm pretty sure it resets every time the lap ends. This is why I said (in my earlier post) that it sucks that you can't see your final sector time.

If you pause the replay just before it ends, all of the sector times you see except for the last should be correct. To get the last sector time, leave the replay and subtract all the other sector times from the time that shows beside the replay title.

Hope this clears things up. 👍

Edit: (just realized this) I think that's why it's called a "live" timing monitor. You can see a little slider progress bar below the sector times. This shows where the replay is currently at.

Tried this several times and it tells me something along the lines of "no files to extract"
is there a preferred program or something. Have been searching for 1/2 hour on this without much luck.

Just to ease your mind, yes there are certain zip programs that do not work.

Which ones that do work, I can not name, but others will post program/s that may/will work for you.
 
So, the update of allowing people to see only friends in TT leaderboards makes one less event we can do, surely?
 
I'm wandering what Kev and the gang have done to upset Kaz, everytime they comes up with a clever solution to the replay problem - BAM - PD hit them with another update which messes it up again :rolleyes:

EDIT: In reflection, the 1mil limit on gifting is not good either. If the F2007, for example, was to be used, people who do not have their GTP account as their main account won't be able to gift it over to use 👎

Or the many other million credit cars there are. Restrictions are stupid, let people play the game how they want to.
