When is said "Who's with me, qoute my post". I didn't meant the pie

Meanly be cause it's a stock car.

You're right, and I agree. But I can't think for the life of me on what real-life track(s) a manufacturer would test such a thing in camouflage 💡

But.... pie. Mmm, pie!

Yup :D
We've run the karts once in a TT and we've played with them online a couple of times - nothing official though, just mini races following regular online events.

How about something like a race mod Corvette on the Daytona road course too go along with the Rolex 24Hr of Daytona this weekend.

Wow. No posts since February. Come on guys, where are your ideas?

I'm gonna agree with what John said above, but with the PDI 100 Karts, in case someone doesn't have the DLC. :)

As GT Academy 2013 is comming, maybe we could use the 370Z Academy Tuned Version (as stock as possible and with stock tires too) in a given track.

We could compare the difference in physics with the GT6 demo.

3 suggestions from me:

1) The ring (28 weeks ago) -- Mercedes SLS AMG / Mercedes 190 E 2.5 - 16 Evolution II Touring Car '92
2) Trial Mountain (17 weeks ago) -- Mitsubishi GTO Twin Turbo / Toyota Castrol Toms Supra ('97)
3) Laguna Seca (30 weeks ago) -- Shelby Cobra 427 / Shelby GT350R (currently in OCD) *

* They have the GT350... but no Eleanor (GT500) :grumpy:

The one car I was unable to acquire -___-

sounds great! Get some seat time for the combo before school starts.

ssr5 ?

Even though I'm not an Australian or New Zealander for the weekly races we should have and Timeslot for the Australians and the New Zealenders. Because sometimes they have to wake up early to race or stay up late I think it's fair that they should have there own Timeslot

Dano

Thanks for the suggestion.

First, that should go in the WRS-Online section because I'm assuming you are talking about the online races. The TT anyone can run whenever they want.

Second, we tried it and there was a thread dedicated to it (can't find it in the archives). There was not enough interest and participation for it to get established. Who knows, maybe with GT6 we'll have enough drivers for an additional time slot.

Yeah, sorry about that

Moving on, some suggestions... Now that we can run cars without modification, there are a whole wealth of opportunities that come to mind.

McLaren F1 - Sports medium tires tames the power oversteer a little and it's fantastic around Le Mans. Would suit the long straight on Tokyo R246 as well. However, for something different how about running it on Special Stage Route 7

Lexus LFA - I was going to suggest Laguna for this, but we're already there. How about Fuji since we haven't been there in a while?

Ford Mark IV Race Car - Daytona Road Course (or Le Mans again)

Super GT/GT500 car - any of them since they're all pretty similar. Would be fun around London, or Spa in the wet!

I already know what Kev will say about SSR7.

But those are great suggestions, Jon, and hard to believe we've gone this long without using any of those first 3 cars. Except the LFA and Ford have been used in our online races, hint, hint. ;)

Ducks for cover

I know I'm not a fan either, but it would be a challenge in a standard F1 I'm sure, and those long straights just give you more time to get twitchy for the breaking point. Here's another crazy one...

Lancia Delta S4 on the long Eiger rally stage

Oooh, and we haven't had a multi-lap combo for a while - another possibility for London!

:D

Scratch the Delta S4 - think it might be too crazy. Better to run with a "modern" rally car maybe...

How about an E-Type Jag or an Alpine A110 for a multi-lapper around London? Or a Focus ST, or a Merc 190E, or a Ferrari 512BB or...you get the idea.

Need...more....combos

One of the most fun combo's/ weekly races I did was last summer on Motegi oval/ road course. The TT was fun on two tracks, but setting the grid for the road course race through the oval race was an absolute blast. (Though, don't do another one of these until January or next summer, or else I'll miss it!).

Another fun online race (my first) was on SS5 (I think) in a Vitz. It was 3-4 shorter races with reverse grid. I was quite terrified leading the field in my first WRS race when the grid was reversed, but it was fun.

The wife banned me from playing GT5 tonight, as I was on it pretty much all weekend. So I decided to spend it on the internet instead. You probably have your own system for this so I've wasted my evening, but hey.. it was fun.. kinda
-----------------------------------------------------
There are 3 tracks that haven't been used in the last 130 weeks:

  • Special Stage Route 7
  • Clubman Stage Route 5 / Reverse
  • Twin Ring Motegi West

And 15 that have only been used once:

  • Madrid (118 weeks ago)
  • Autumn Ring Mini (109 weeks ago)
  • Madrid Mini (101 weeks ago)
  • Cape Ring (89 weeks ago)
  • Eiger Nordwand / Reverse (82 weeks ago)
  • Special Stage Route 5 / Reverse (80 weeks ago)
  • Nurburgring Type V (76 weeks ago)
  • London / Reverse (75 weeks ago)
  • Madrid Mini / Reverse (66 weeks ago)
  • Cape Ring Periphery (64 weeks ago)
  • Clubman Stage Route 5 (56 weeks ago)
  • Nurburgring 24H (54 weeks ago)
  • Cape Ring North (49 weeks ago)
  • Autumn Ring Mini / Reverse (39 weeks ago)
  • Cape Ring Inside (7 weeks ago)

Out of those, the tracks which we haven't visited any variation in the last 25 weeks are:

  • Clubman Stage Route 5 (56 weeks ago -- [R] never)
  • London (52 weeks ago -- [R] 75 weeks ago)

Others which we haven't done for a long time, or have done a variation of are:

  • Autumn Ring Mini (109 weeks ago -- [R] 39 weeks ago) >> Autumn Ring (45 weeks ago -- [R] 11 weeks ago)
  • Madrid Mini (101 weeks ago -- [R] 66 weeks ago) >> Madrid (118 weeks ago -- [R] 20 weeks ago)
  • Cape Ring [Full, North, Periphery] (see above) >> Cape Ring Inside (7 weeks ago)
  • Suzuka East (50 weeks ago) >> Suzuka (13 weeks ago)
  • Twin Ring Motegi East (59 weeks ago) -- Twin Ring Motegi (30 weeks ago)
  • Tokyo / Reverse (47 weeks ago) -- Tokyo (26 weeks ago)
  • Road Course Daytona (34 weeks ago)

The only other track we haven't visited for a while is the Nurburgring GP. But as we just done the Nordschleife I didn't include it in the above list.

  • Nurburgring Type V (76 weeks ago)
  • Nurburgring GP / F (33 weeks ago)
  • Nurburgring GP / D (21 weeks ago)
  • *Nurburgring 24H (54 weeks ago)*

I really hope this has been helpful to you guys, I know its not really a suggestion, but might help decide what event to pick. Carlos' idea of London would fit well 👍
