Good tyo see youy back Dom, was nice to see you join online the other day! ill be there tomorrow if you want to join again. :) see you on GT6!

Ascari would be my suggestion for the qualifier. Very technical and challenging track but also long.

I think the Ascari track would be nice, haven't driven it yet tough.
What about doing that track with two different cars, a street car and racing car?

I think we should incorporate karting into it as well, it's only fair 👍

Man, that third moon mission took me sooooooooo long to gold...

Suggestion for a combo (not the qualifier): tried the LCC Rocket for the first time last night and had a blast on the Stowe circuit with it (with SH and then RH).

After playing the game, and driving the tracks, I think Ascari is fantastic for a qualifier. Love it or hate it, it's new, it's pretty long, and it's quite difficult to master. Just my 2 cents.

Ascari pretty challenging track, very technical. In addition to Ascari my top three for the qualifier would be Mount Panorama and Matterhorn (I'm not sure whether this is new as I only started playing GT since Prologue)

Matterhorn is new yes. That's also an excellent track, possibly the only reason I gave it a fair chance is that I didn't know it was not an actual race track, (I am biased towards real tracks) but it is great.
Mount Panorama/Brands Hatch/Silverstone are also all very good, just not as difficult. (imo anyway) :)

Bathurst? Narrow, elevation changes, plenty of turns, long straight...
And....walls. I threw it out there as a possibility to the other admins, and they reminded me that it's very much like a city track in that sense. We don't want a qualifier that requires that level of replay checks, especially before we have a data logger.

Lots of great suggestions in here. The final qualifier combos were a result of a team effort on the part of our admin staff. We think they are a lot of fun, and will do a really nice job of benchmarking drivers.

As long as there's something with a Daihatsu Midget II on a technical circuit coming, anything's fine by me! (Unless it's at Silverstone. I hate that circuit with a passion.)

I was just wondering how it would be possible to verify the replay from a user when the username isn't on the replay save file. Just exported my M3 lap to PS3 and it only showed the driver name (the one you have to fill in the first time playing)
Don't know if someone would take advantage of it (importing a PSN friends faster lap maybe) but I just wanted to ask if there's a way to see the real username on the save file.

We are able to identify the user who ran the lap, based on the submitted replay file.

We can learn a lot from the replay files, it's the reason the requested submission is so simple.

Would two weekly TT's be possible at times, one Tuning and one Stock? Different or same track. I don't this has been asked yet.

I know back in the GT5P days, there was a combo like this. This is the only one I know of, but I wasn't around for much of the GT5P days. It was the normal SRT10 Viper, and the Concept by GT tuned version. One was run on the oval, while the other was on the road course.

I actually posted that combo.

I can tell for sure that the "Tuned" car was tuneable. Keep in mind that "Tuned" was really the model. I can't tell for sure if the stock car could be tuned for the event, I don't recall. Prologue was a simple game, you could, or you could not. So I must not have been all that worried.

My one and only idea for the gt6 WRS season:

Every 5th event, starting week 10, do a photomode comp for the week before, one vote per person - the person with the most votes and at least 3 clean, validated replays, gets to choose a combo. Admins get final yes/no I case of insanity but otherwise, the combo is user selected.

Same principal as the thread started by Tim for the qualifier, essentially. In the weeks in between, it's business as usual. Mixes it up a little bit.

I had this idea a few weeks ago, but decided it needed a little thought first, hence the starting week 10 bit, to help with the season smoothing out first and getting people used to submitting and competing, as well as the 3 clean replays rule, to ensure someone with at least a little experience chooses, to avoid silliness :)

This could be done via a group conversation in private with admins, so that the combo can be 'delivered' to the correct OP and finalised. No registered user is able to select back to back combos, nor more that three in a season.

Thanks for the great suggestion. We'll mull this over, some form of it will likely be implemented. I'm interested in hearing idea from the community on other forms of competition that could be used, besides photo mode. In other words, photo mode could potentially be one of a few types of competition.

Yeah, I don't remember any actual tuning being possible for the stock car. I'd like to do more of them if it's a combination of stock street car with tuning prohibited and the(a) race version of the street car, but with tuning allowed. Same track with different variations if possible, so Daytona, Indianapolis, Brands Hatch, Motegi, etc.

Oh hey, there was the combo in GT5 using the Supra SuperGT with Motegi Road and Oval, but that was just one car on two tracks.

hey idk if u guys do it already or if anyone ive said anything about it but what about having a rookie of year for WRS idk if that possible or what but just thinking as im new to gtplanet and the WRS
