I think it would be nice to do a multi-lap career race. I also reckon it would be nice to be able to accrue a few Benjamins and so with that in mind my suggestion is "Red Bull X2014 Standard Championship - Silverstone National Circuit". Three laps on a new track with a really fun and fast new car, racking up $130K for every successful race (not including log in bonus)...we'll all come away from the week with millions in extra dosh and we get to have a slightly longer race. It could also set up a subsequent week where an expensive car is required.

The other option if the frustration of clean overtaking would be too much would be maybe "Like the Wind - Special Stage Route X" where no car is specified and Nitrous is allowed. It would mean an interesting mix of slipstreaming and use of nitrous?

Whatever the case, I think utilising more of the new things in GT6 would be cool...just some ideas 👍

We had a multi lap TT back in the GT5 days, Suzuki Cappuccino's around the Kart Track and it was even more frustrating than the last Ascari TT. Trying to get not one clean lap but multiple clean laps back to back was really hard and it was one of the lowest number of TT entrants as I recall. I like the idea of accruing credits as we race but there aren't that many one lap career mode races aside from the odd Nurburgring Nordschleife and maybe Le-Mans in a few events 👍

Yeah, something like that would be kinda groovy. Some AI to get frustrated with...but some money to reward you at the end.

Like I say, just a thought...I reckon admin are smacking them out of the park anyway so I trust you guys to keep the grooviness coming 👍

I think @MisterWeary means like this one:

My bad, apologies Colby, got the wrong end of the stick. Thanks for the pick up Chris and that one did look like fun 👍

Multiple laps sounds like fun, would the X2014 Junior at Suzuka East and the X2014 Standard at Suzuka for one lap each be something that people would do? Yeah, I'm just looking for a TT I'd have a chance at. :sly:

Yep, now that you mention the junior, the full on daddy Red Bull could be a bit of a nightmare for me and my DS3 homies but the X2014 Junior wouldn't be too much...it's a super fun car to zip around in too...maybe one of the "Red Bull X2014 Junior Championship" races?

I like that idea of mixing high speed racing on a track terrible for hotlapping, with slipstream and nitrous to add enough variables for anything to happen.

I'd finish dead last, sounds fun!

I was also thinking, the BMW 320i Touring Car '03 is a very fun car to drive, and it seems like it would be controller friendly, maybe that could make a good combo. No parts purchased, just an oil change and adjusting what it comes with. Or it could be the car for the excellent idea above this post, it's very easy to get used to.

How about a 1 hour challenge. Completely stock car but instead of 1 week, everyone has 1 hour with a 15 minute grace period to upload replays.

Sounds good, but would have to be done online at a predefined time given people are in different timezones and it would be hard to know when someone actually started and whether they spent an hour to do their laps

Not really. It could have a one week notice of event time such as 2200 GMT time on a Saturday or Sunday. Event gets posted in forums at 2159 and replays will not be accepted past 2315 GMT. That way no one knows the combo prior to the event.

Now im not entirely sure what upgrades since its been ages since ive used it but I recommend the Ferrari FXX with a fair amount of power to it, And on Brands Hatch GP, With such a powerful and tailhappy car, This track is an extreme challenge, especially with the elevation changes at extreme speed, I feel it offers a new dimension to Brands Hatch and could be a good test of tuning ability (as it is needed to get that extra level with this combo especially) combined with pure car control.

Combo name: For FXX sake! (I dont really know)
Car: Ferrari FXX (with a few power upgrades) so about 900hp and a few weight upgrades
Specifics: Racing Hard tires (RS is a bit too easy)
Track: Brands Hatch GP

Even if you guys dont decide to include it, I seriously recommend trying it out, It is a challenge but an extremely exciting and rewarding experience

Not likely you're going to see us use the FXX again so soon.

Really love the idea of a senna themed wrs tt. Awesome call.
Also, have you guys done much running at laguna seca? I remember getting addicted to a lap around there with a skyline and was able to spend seemingly hours shaving off time

💡 What about “The Ride of the Valkyrs”?

From Norse mythology we know that the Valkyrs rode their horses, when they were monitoring battles and deciding who should survive and who should die.

The German composer Richard Wagner wrote “The Ride of the Valkyrs” as the third act of the opera “Der Ring des Nibelungen” which informally is called “The ring”.

This should make a good backdrop for a crucial battle of horses (read mustangs) on “The ring”.

Though this would be a very challenging battle, that wouldn’t be beneficial for us less skilled drivers, I think it would be great fun, and we would of course all be in the mercy of the The Valkyrs as they would decide who would survive and who would die.
:gtpflag:

Great idea, but a small correction:
The German composer Richard Wagner wrote “The Ride of the Valkyrs” as the third act of the opera “Der Ring des Nibelungen” which informally is called “The ring”.
The opera is called Die Walküre (The Valkyrie) and is the second of a series of four operas, the whole cycle of four being called Der Ring des Nibelungen. The ride of the Valkyries is of course that piece that was made very popular by, among other things, Apocalypse Now!
