New splits.

24.137
49.337

I am looking forward to see what sector 3 times everyone get. I can not hit any sort of consistency. There are so many tenths in those few corners. Sometimes I hit it right without knowing how, other times I do everything right, yet the ghost speeds 0.3 ahead. I have no idea yet how to tackle it right.

That pitlane is a headache. It is off-track, right?
OP says "Tarmac and Rumble Strips are Track.". So I would say it is fine.

Been a long time since I've done one of these. I really like the combo:

Splits:
24.367
49.534

Hoping I can pick up some more hidden tenths in there somewhere.

2nd lap completed looking at this...

25.950
52.317

Lot of time left out there. That first split was ruined by the first turn. The second split was ruined by the hairpin and braking too early. Got to say it is a good baxe to start off with only two laps done and 1 being acceptable as a real lap.

Edit - Third lap
25.067
51.167

Edit - few more laps
24.667
50.650

Easy .5 seconds lost on the hairpin. I see quite some time to take time off. Just need to get the rhythm right for the first sector.

We only enforce pit line rules in our online events. I mean, you can't literally drive down pit lane (We once had a driver try that at Laguna Seca  ). But you can cross the white pit lines that are on the racing surface, no problem. 👍

Really wanted to try this but constant crashes and freezing, i decided to back up and restore ps3.......all 400gb and at estimate 7 hours. Guess ill try tomorrow. Least i know to aim sub 25 for s1 and sub 51 s2 with s3 afap.

 Amazing splits Lukas.

I'm curious what you were doing wrong and how you improved it.

A question for everyone, my main problem is the hairpin, is it best to brake early and go smoothly through or slam it in sideways and drift?
I'm braking hard in a straight line, trail braking to the apex, and then mashing out.

If you're already doing it, so be it. But you might want to try just deleting and reinstalling game data before doing a complete HD restore.

Oh no you are not :sly:

Same.

I ran a few hours of this to get some splits and see what I thought of it all (not keen), but I just haven't bothered posting them. Unless I am driving the wrong car or half the field is using the wrong settings it's not even worth posting/submitting because I don't intend to run it any longer.

Hangover or not, couldn't stay away from it, so here's a small update to the splits:

24.350
49.683

T2 seems to be the weaker point for me atm, as it looks like I'm losing a lot of time there when I'm looking at other peoples splits. Need to find the source of the problem and solve it! And as there's basically 2 corners on T2, I'm suspecting it's the chicane.

I'm not posting yet as I only spent 1/2 hour on it, but allready know, this is not the kind of combo I can compete well, like the BH one.
I will still try harder, but surely be very far from the D1 top ;)

Na, freeze on everything, even video playback so needs a clean.

I will try it and since apricot hill was one of my favourite tracks in GT3 if i remember correctly it will be nice to learn the track by hard using the audi quattro ;)

So being angry that my PC power supply just died helps a bit:

24.117
48.967

Not a bad 3rd sector (I think... 💡) for half tenth at the line. I reckon I have one more tenth in me for sector 1 but its the sewing it together. Never was too good at sewing.

I have a question about the Fanatec wheel and setup. I am wondering how people have their options setup through the wheel for this event.

right now I have these settings
SEn - 900
FF - 100
Sho - 100
dri - off
Abs - 050
Lin - 000
dEA - 000
SPr - 0
dPr - 0

I understand a few of these settings like SEn is the actual registered turning radius of the CSR wheel, correct me if this is wrong, but this wheel is setup to go 900 degrees.

FF is force feedback which is set to 100%
Abs is the Elite pedals set to vibrate when I reach 50% brake level on the pedals.

I really have no clue what the other settings mean or what they do. I will look for a guide on them through the sim racing forum, but I would like to know what settings do others use for the TT.

I'm still struggling through the first sector, but am getting the last two down pretty well.

25.373
51.357

Tried another and got a new best lap time both both my first two splits dropped! Picked up all the time in the last section. Frustrating to say the least.

First splits

0:25.484
0:51.400

Guys don't forget to adjust your settings every time you restart your TT as every time you exit to check your times they reset back to stock

Just discovered that I had grip reduction set to low... :ouch:

I bet I'm not the only one that'll get caught out by this. Thankfully Fetchy rejects invalid laps now otherwise we'd have loads of DQs every week.

It was probably the most common miss on the qualifier.

I think you guys are going to get used to it, though. ;)
