I thought I was the only one that did that. I also run each track in reverse....you'd be surprised what you can learn by doing that. Besides that, I have my lucky socks (hospital socks with the treads on them) and to Brando ItsAllAboutWins, my fastest/lucky car color is Hot Lava. :)
Hospital socks, I didn't anyone but me did that!!

As tradition plays, I passed you, you had to nudge ahead. I see how it is. ;)

I'm not going down without a little fight. Just starting to get the flow now. I need two more short sessions to try for about 1.5 tenths per session and I'll surrender at that point. No way I threaten the top D2 runners this week.

Finally had some time to sit down on this.

Been a little busy since this was delivered:

And turning it into this:

Fell short of my goal in the qualifier, but feel comfortable with it. Then again, there's this combo. Love the way this car feels and the perfect track for it. But again falling short of my goal with it. Anyway my first splits:

24.284
49.300

Still a few days for everyone to work out the kinks.

Okay, thought I'd get around to submitting my entry today and then, while having a final watch, I realise my lap just might be invalid. That left me feeling disappointed, it was a good time.

So I went back, been at it for an hour now and what do you know:

T1: 24.433
T2: 49.550

A slight drop in sector 1 but I made up for it in the second, for an overall lap improvement which I thought wasn't possible for me at the very least!
Think I'll have that beer now

This is my first WRS TT and I've really enjoyed having a go and improving over the 3 sessions I drove. I won't get another go so I submitted last night. Here are my 2 splits.

24.850
50.383

My experience was that I made the time on the first sector. If I was behind after that I couldn't make the time up on the rest of the lap. The third sector was also hard as I was overtaken by my ghost several times through the chicane and last corner.

I also have just submitted for my first WRS. Lets hope it is valid. Finally got a good T3.
Having great fun with this TT. Looking forward to the next one :) Thank you all for the advice and comments.
I can see from all your splits that I will have to learn manual gears to get anywhere close.

24.667
50.200

Can I ask if the results will have filters, so I can see how I faired against other DS3 or AT racers?
If you are DS3 or AT, feel free to add me. Thank you.

Uh...What? I cant make that work. Or am I being punked here?
You have to press all three at the same time once you're loaded in to the game and the wheel has calibrated or wheel will stay in 900* rotation there are a few clips on YouTube that show how to do it.

It is unlikely that the results thread will have any differentiation, but the leaderboard shows the controller type.
I will add you later if you are after more DS3 blue worms in the other in game events

Funny thing I just noticed @Gravitron

Your tip helped give me the same exact T2 as you.

(And Eternal, and Cicua, and Billiejoebobx) :odd:
 spooky. It is my PB btw. And I also get early on the throttle out of the hairpin, you can get the can get the car into a slight slide to rotate it faster.

OK, I had to man up and try with Manual gears. I was all thumbs to begin with, but after an hour I managed to shave .2 off my best AT time. More practice needed I think, to get the full benefit.
Should I be changing gear at 7500rpm or later than the red line?
Why have I been so lazy up til now  Thanks GTP WRS for the incentive to do better and go faster :gtpflag:

Other sector 2 times seems very dodgy too. A quick browser search at the leaderboard shows:

3 racers share: 25:250
4 racers share: 25:300
4 racers share: 25.350
6 racers share: 25.400
3 racers share: 25.650

To me it indicates that some rounding happens somewhere. Hopefully it's just in the split times shown to us in the gallery with the "pause-jump to next session"-methode?

Nice one trying out the manual gears, I remember when I first tried it I was nowhere near my times with automatic so well done on already beating your AT time. From what I've tried in this car it's good to shift as late as possible before you bounce off the limiter, it's not a huge difference but I'm sure it's a little faster and as @Twissy stated a couple of pages back you can stay in 5th going towards the hairpin rather than changing in to 6th.

Poor second and third sector

23.966
48.966

Hoping to improve my lap time by more than a tenth, but it's not looking good. I just have no idea when this car grips and when it starts to understeer.

Just grabbed another 0.250 off my previous fastest lap after 5 minutes in track.

T1 24.134
T2 49.191

Just watching the replay and of all the laps I've done this lap looks effortless goes to show smoother you are the faster you go .

[Maths]
There definitely is some rounding, and it's actually something I had encountered at GTPSP as well..
We know if we divide 100 by 6 we get 16,6667. If we multiply the last one with numbers from 1 to 5, we get 16.666, 33.333, 50, 66.666 and 83,333. Around 80% of T2 ends in one of the above integer parts of the numbers. However, only 30% of that applies to T1, which means that it probably is shown like that and doesnt affect the actual lap time[/Maths]
Now if someone can explain that with proper english it would be helpful!
gt6 seems good fun

Yeah, there's something weird there. I'm pretty sure @Vagabond mentioned this method is somewhat inaccurate when we landed on using it, the alternatives being slim (or none).

I'm guessing it has to do with the pause frame points available within the replay. We've experienced similar in the past, when trying to verify a tough replay.

Hopefully PD decide that the live timing monitor is a thing, and actually important, at some point.

The splits we are obtaining via the pause screen are definitely different to the actual splits. I know my current T2 on the board is about a tenth different to what displayed when I ran the lap. As Kevin said, far from perfect but that is all we have.
Hopefully the live timing gets fixed.

On the rounding... Who cares? Now we have a few more thousandths that's locked up in the final sector mystery time. The final lap time is what counts and that will be true.

I'm going to try skyline's trick now: Run 5 minute, about 3-4 laps, and improve by 2 tenths. Wish me luck, I'll be back in 5.

Edit. After 5 minutes on track I have logged exactly 1 clean lap half a second slower my best. :(

My lap ended with a .x00 as well!

I'm with WRP001 on this. It is ultimately the final lap time that counts.....and as he has said, that will be correctly calculated.

Having a break today. I have seen 24.2 sector 1s and am sure I saw a 49.2. I am also sure I have had a cracking sector 3. I just wish all three would join together. A quick couple of runs tomorrow will do!
Whatever will be will be.

I love the leaderboard not having the last sector, as I still have know idea where I am. I might be amazing, or more likely quite poor. But the excitement is great.
