Here's my PAL version of the replay. Don't know what happened to the quality of my youtube video sorry.View attachment 74888
Use the code after the v= in the URL, then wrap in [ youtube] tags :)

(Quote this post to see what I mean)

Nice lap BTW, I think using 3rd gear for a lot of the corners should help you get the power down earlier.

Congrats to all and thanks to the admins. 👍

Here's my replay as requsted.

EDIT: Wrong replay attached -__-

And a question : How do you watch other people's replays because when I want to unzip the file it says that it's not valid ???

Had I submitted my time and saved the right hot lap ghost replay I would have placed 20th in my Division with a xxx.xx. Humble apologies, oh Moderator; won't happen again :embarrassed:

I do not devote enough time/laps for these time trials :dopey:

Better suited to racing with other cars about I guess :)

Will try event 2 and save the right replay :dunce:

Woohoo!! I got a thumbs up :D I presume that means the same as in prologue? In any case I was happy with my own tune and the results it yielded. Didnt run another session after 1.06 but I doubt it would of made a difference. Pretty much at my limit there.

Anyway thanks and congratulations to all the admins involved making this first of many weeks an unequivocal success 👍 Well done chaps.

Now down to business. Its an absolute pleasure to be back and viewing your replays again Phillip. Its not been 5 minutes and I'm learning from you again already! Such control and precision. Its inspiring it really is. Still, I'm slowly bridging that gap ;) Just .150 between us this week buddy. Lets see what I can achieve next week :D

And here's this weeks attatched replay for verification. I'm loving Kevs little critiques so hopefully he'll pick this one up ;) Any advice from you though Phillip would be more than welcome! :D:tup:

It was a pretty decent lap, but you just wasn't carrying enough speed through the corners I think, so I suggest you get closer to the apexes and try and push the car as wide as you can on exit for more speed. The last corner you could have got on the power much earlier on exit and let it run wide more for instance.

But other than that it was really good, perhaps your tune wasn't quite good enough to carry the speed. (Exits were superb though)

He should also read OP's properly!

BlaqueJack you better remove that time before a mod sees it!

Dhandes, you should edit it out from your quote too 👍

To late GTPolice are In the room enter inspector Sphinx.
Just a thought but will there be a WRS replay archive to keep all these replays In 1 easy post? or In our profile on the leader board.

Yes, please avoid posting unofficial times in the thread. The intent behind this rule is mainly so that we don't have people coming in and saying, "Oh, I forgot to submit. But I had a (Insert Division winning time here). Oh, well. Maybe next time".

It just takes away from the result and effort of those who followed the rules.

Yes, we are here. ;)

Once the results are official, the replays show up in the WRS Leaderboards area. At the top of the page, there is an option to choose either "Splits" (Unofficial Splits from the Weekly Thread) or "Results" (Actual Laptime results once we make the results official). Replays show up next to the user who posted them, you can go back to Prologue weeks and see how it works. 👍

Thanks for checking!

Ive always naturally approached a corner inside to out, but with this car it needed the opposite. I'm still getting used to the bumper view, and how close to the kerbs you can get. As for the last corner, I agree, could of gone faster, but had ruined a few previous laps being a bit enthusiastic after doing reasonable first and second sectors. There is certainly plenty of room for improvement, Thanks for the feedback.👍

Here's my replay.

The actual lap time shows up in the upper right of the box for the replay file in-game, correct? That's the time I used to submit. If it's somehow not the right time... :scared:

Very interesting seeing the variety of techniques at work. No critique from me though.... I don't think I'm in a position to do that just now. :)

That was two laps with completely different driving approaches.

tnt89 could benefit from taking it a bit easier. Brake points were a bit late, you were a little early and heavy on the throttle out of corners and steering inputs were too large. You would benefit a lot from just taking it all down a bit and not push as much. With tyres as slippery as these smoothness is key. You should also try to not use traction control. If you learn to drive without it you will almost always be quicker in the WRS time trials

EG on the other hand was too cautious. Braked unnecessarily early and waited to get on the throttle a bit too long. Very tidy on the other hand. Nice touch to keep the windscreen wipers on to be prepared in case of a sudden downpour. 👍

If you were to combine your two approaches it would probably have resulted in a 1'05.5 lap. :D

Please takes this as it is intended, a friendly guidance to help you improve yourself.

- quick observation, despite what I said above about not critiquing... :sly: You lost alot of time going into turn 2 by simply braking too late and trying to carry too much speed in. Similar issue on most bends though not as severe. Brake earlier and turn in less aggressively, particularly in a car as unbalanced as the Camaro... once the front tyres lose grip, you lose time in spadefulls. No offence meant, just trying to help :)

Anyone with a PAL replay needs verifying or has been overlooked so far? .... I have some time before dinner and am trying to avoid doing the week 2 trial today ;)

Here is my replay.

NTSC US version.
Tell me if I have the good one or it's another video because I had the good idea to copy two replay's at the same time...

No offence taken, it if improves my driving then I can take it, thanks for the tips.👍

I always do the same. I dont know if the wipers are sometimes on at the start or if I accidentaly switch them on, but they're often on in my replays in bright sunshine.

I also checked Captain Rohs replay
gflagjn4.gif
Triple confirmation, its clean.

Captain I'd just say to not be at full brake strength for as long, ease off to 60-80% much earlier then ease off gradually so you come completely off after you've turned in. Especially with these tyres.

To be honest though it was pretty close to my time so you be better off asking JoshMuggo how he did his .2

Well done to everyone who submitted:tup:

I wonder why my replay wasn't requested? Perhaps because my divisional placing was exactly the same as in the qualifier. :)There should be a trophy for that.
