Had another session yesterday but couldn't come within 0.5xx of my fastest lap. But today thing finally seem to come together.

T1: 22.588
T2: 57.436

.4xx faster at T2 but only gained .2 at the line. I'll probably go searching for that 0.2 tomorrow :)

Have new and improved splits. Manage to do a .2xx better T2 but not much improvement at the line. Very frustrating.

I know the feeling. But when you finally see such a satisfying T2, you don't take to much risk in the final sector :)

Finding little bits here and there on my T1 & 2's but big gains on the line.

I am finding sector 3 is like the bus stop at Daytona.

New spilts:

T1 22.451
T2 57.206

You are viewable, just like w-g-e in fact.

Well, If I can't get any better splits than that, I don't mind that I can't submit.

New and final split's though I'm sure there is another third of a second to be had. I just hate this car lol. Back end of a swollen Mini and the front of a beat up Golf and throw on some Supra light's and bam lol.
T1- 22.708
T2- 58.113
I'm happy I'm done, good luck to you all.

Nice splits Andy. You making me :nervous: again.

Well i don't have that problem really. But have no idea what it is. Just something is not going as planned

Well, I submitted my time. Unfortunately, I don't have anymore time to try and beat my current splits. But it's been a fun adventure with the Cilo this week.

Good luck to all. :)

I've tried my best, spent all weekend on this, and yet again come up empty. At least it was a fun car to drive. Submitting with these splits:

T1 0'22.831
T2 0'58.431

Improved T2 with a marginal improvement at the line -

22.515
57.433

Thats it from me too on this one, spent all day trying to beat or equal my 'unrecorded' best time, finally managed it although my split times are actually slower!

Best of luck to every one.

Also like to say a big thanks to the guys who organise and run not only the WRS but the entire site, fantastic job guys, its an honour to drive with the GTP tag, look forward to more WRS events, really enjoyed my first!!

New and last splits.

22.584
57.377

That's it for this week, off to the next one. 👍

PS: That last sector is a pain in the 🤬.

I'm in the same boat almost every week Dennis. I've found that concentrating on the full laptime and only checking the splits when I view the replay helps. After all, it's only the full laptime that counts.
Even then it is frustrating knowing that a better certain sector would make a big difference to your lap.
I guess that's what keeps us coming back week after week.

I meant to say thankyou for this advice..I was so focused on getting better T1's and 2's that I was losing focus on the complete lap, once I had stopped looking at the splits I started to flow alot more.
Will be very interesting to see what everybodies lap times are.
Cheers mate:tup:

@NISH
Will have one more run at your time tomorrow before submission. Getting very frustrated with this car now, almost pulled a Lewis Hamilton and chuck the wheel out the car (off the stand).

Hoping for a better T3 than you for now aswell :)

Submitting my lap now. I'm afraid it won't do any good in the end, as I had one very lucky pass untill T2, but after that it was rubbish.
Nice to see the huge turnup this week again.
Great work by the mods, especially Kevin 👍

I just submitted my time, don't think I could have improved much more. On to the next WRS challenge..!

Yeah I've had quite a few of those moments with this car.

Not sure how you ran T2 but

On the first left let down to 3rd and cut it sharp.

Then the right hand sweeper leave it in 4th at mid way point of turn gun it and aim for your apex.

The sharp left there is TON'S to gain or lose here, what I did is wait late as possible to turn (stick to the rumble strip on your right, drop to 3rd and go) after I turned there was very little to do after the apex.

Going into T3 take the bend in 4th.

Good luck iCyCo, I really enjoy the competition :). Oh and TCS off but I couldn't attack without stability help.

That's exactly what I do. I've seen a faster T1 split but got on the power too early exiting turn 6, happen many times and that's where I went to chuck the wheel off the stand. That's why I feel I can top your time. I hate MR cars and then with S tires dont make it no easier.

I like MR car's but the Clio to me is just garbage. I can guarantee other than model specific and WRS event's I will never own one in GT5.

I'm sure you can beat me just keep at it, When you get mad go do something else, then when you come back try it again.

The biggest problem I seem to have in competing in WRS is my memory, in almost every event thus far I have gotten too happy with a lap quit the race and went to watch it in main menu :(, without saving my lap :(. Those day's make me want to cry.

Just had a way slower T1 & T2 but gain .4 at the line, now that would have to be one heck of a T3. Gotta link that with a great T1 & T2

I submitted with these splits:

T1: 22.513
T2: 57.015

Too bad I had slower T1 this time

I know

But i reached a moment in my tirth stint that i wasn't gain any speed till T2. So i was concetrating so much on T1 and T2 that i wasn't taking T3 serious anymore when i reached acceptable T1 and T2. When i tought i could put the lap togehter, something went terribly wrong in T3 all the time. Had my best T3 in my second stint and couln'd match that T3 anymore. If i had for example .2xx slower T1, it's almost impossible to win it back in the rest of the lap. Specially with my lack of talent in hairpins. I suck big time at hairpins. I just can't keep my eyes of the splits or turning on and off my ghost when the splits are on impossible places like on Fuji.

Anyway. I'm pretty happy with my time at the finish. Hope it's enough.

Will submit later tonight with splits on the board.

Good luck everybody

Submitted with splits on the board. Didn't have time for another go but I doubt that I would have been faster anyway :).

I know that this wont be competative (it was my 3rd lap) I just havent had time to run this week.
I didnt want to miss a week so even if its really uncompetative I'll still submit a time

T1: 22.977
T2: 58.461

You guys will have to excuse my noob-ness as this might seem a stupid question or seem out of topic for this thread but it states no clutch to be used, i only have a DFGT so i don't have the option anyway but does using a clutch give you much advantage?

The reason i ask is that i watched on of the top times replay and his gear changing seemed very different to mine and he managed a much faster time than me overall.

Again, I apologise for the noob-ness!!
