That's cleared that up then, thanks! Glad to see you can't be penalised for driving style!:)

Do whatever you need to do within the rules to be fast! You will never be penalized for style but you may find your style penalizes you, as I have at times.:sly: I think my style from where I started WRS to now has changed from watching replays and listening to the great advice on here. Not many competitions will you find direct competitors helping eachother while battling for position on the leaderboard.👍

Yeah this is one of the defining features of GTPlanet's WRS and why the atmosphere is what it is. Its the perfect way to improve technique while enjoying the banter from fellow GT enthusiasts. I've come a long way since joining here when GT5P came out, as have many others. I thought I was pretty good by the time I got GT4 but when I arrived here, there was a lesson right there - qualified in Division 3 Bronze but never looked back thereafter. I love this place, the various characters and personalities and the free sharing of info, technique and setup knowledge.

+1 👍

I love WRS, with the top guys being very helpful, I believe I have come on leaps and bounds and hope to improve more with the help and tips from others :)

Well said Chris, couldn't have put it better, such a great community to be a part of 👍

Note: not many people would have liked my attitude when I started the WRS, but I have settled down and enjoying the competition a lot more :sly:

Ditto that, both Chris and Plato. This series is one of the most enjoyable parts of my week. DDiamond, if you want to check another replay, I'll practice submitting with the one that has a t2 of 51.270. It was just under 1'19, but my other was faster.

Yes, sir!!!!

Well, let's see if I've learned how to do it. This lap was actually pretty nice, but you can see where I lost time on the exit of the final corner. My t3 is 27.622, which isn't bad, just not as good as my best.

I think you got me with that nice last sector and bit faster exit speeds. I must try to remedy this situation, it's becoming a habit of you being in front of me now. Would like to see you in my mirror for once. Bring it on!! :sly: 👍

Thanks Peter 👍:sly:

I see what you mean about the final corner.

I settled for 2nd [for braking] which kept me tight but slower than you, lol.

Also, you were holding 3rd in T2 where i was dropping to 2nd. Noted!!

Also noted....don't be afraid to throttle up on exits with FF????

Sorry, but I smoked up the joint!

Thanks, Chuk. You Rock!!!

Here's my WRS 15 replay (EU PAL).

Back at you!!
And I'm glad someone got to see that lap! I was proud of it, and saw where I could have gotten another tenth off my overall time, but it was close to submission time, and quite frankly I had done enough for the week! :)

Good run, I'm surprised you still had rubber left on those tires :D

Thanks for watching, hope you had your oxygen mask on, could be hazardous to your health :) Secret theory, if you run on the belts it helps turn the understeer more

My week 15 replay. Hopefully I ahve done this right as its the first one I have had to post.

Had alot of fun but I do struggle setting a car up. I tend to just get in and drive.

Great lap, though it looked a bit ragged. Maybe it was all the gear changes. I think you went down to 2nd more than I was used to seeing, but other than a few darty movements, it got the job done.

Thanks gravitron! I'm having some trouble with my paddle shifters, so things could certainly be smoother. :)

I loved your almost-rear-entry drift-style in the double apex right at the beginning of T2. Maybe not the fastest way, but cool as hell. (Well, as cool as this nose-in-the-air econo-racer can get...) Also great use of all available track surface, especially in that last tunnel section. 👍
Thanks a lot for checking out the replay Gravitron, very much appreciated. 👍

I really wasn't looking to drift into the first corner of the double right, I was trying to trailbrake just enough to get an easier turn in and keep the speed up but I lost the rear. Slowed me down a lot, but I somehow managed to pickup .3 seconds in the last sector which gave me my fastest lap of the week. After the fact I did think it would make for a cool replay lol.

Here is my NTSC Replay.

Thanks again for the tune help everyone!

This time you just wanted to be the one who pulls off the cool looking drift

GTP_Iddledoo you've uploaded the replay of the Elise/Autumn Ring combo ;)
I think there might be 2 in one map since your zip file is twice as big.

Visual specs and time correct, lap is clean!

Smooth and smoke-free run; in fact, I don't remember a single red tire, maybe a luke-warm tire!!! 👍

Well done everybody, especially those of you who ran under 1'19.000.

Here is my replay.:)

I've put the two top spots in a duel next to each other.
Watch the difference in racinglines, brakingpoints, acceleration and drivingstyles.
For more detail watch in full screen.

Special thanks goes to the drivers in particular.

Sorry about that I will try and fix that tonight.

Nice lines, almost no going wide anywhere.

I had to check this a few times:

Looks like an obvious red flag in 3-2-1. But no! Front wheel is on the curb all through the corner. What other car than this little understeer demon could DO that? :)

This time you just wanted to be the one who pulls off the cool looking drift
Good one Dion.

I was no match for you at all this time around. I've got lots of practicing to do! Need to find more time to do some serious sessions, but I have to reiterate that the level of competition has increased a lot with the years. :scared:
