Finally getting consistently clean laps, next is getting some worth posting.:)

Feel free to flame me but I am new here and don't know how these really work. Only the second week for me. I have two autodrome maps. I assume this is the 3.60 miles track and NOT the 3.58 mile no chicanes map? Clarification please.

It's the chicaned one.

First decent times I can post with 800 miles clocked on my new fxx two oil changes one car wash and a rigidity restore after many crashes in to the concrete barrier at first chicane and a pretty impressive 7 flip barrel roll at ascari after getting it very wrong on the approach left the car in a sorry state.

T1 27.284
T2 1:01.689

Thanks Justin. Just for future reference how can I tell? I read the info several times and my only guess was by the slight difference in the map pictures.

Can someone tell me I have bought the car and done oil change my bhp is now 828 now in the op it says 788bhp+oil change.?
Am I safe to run some laps I'm abit confused

Dear God! I am glad that I have not got my registry division yet....what a beast.....:nervous:

still waiting for my GTP_Registry but my first try with the FXX

28.537

still a lot of improvement possible.

Second quick lap: Half second up by T2, full second improvement at the line. Good for today :)

27.648

Great fun to be had here. This one makes me want to run it over and over. Consistent laps within .2 on each, on the ragged edge. Addictive car on what may be my favorite track.

New Updated Times:

27.551
1'01.734

I'll give it one more go next weekend, but if that's the best I can do I'll be fine with it.

Had a really quick session to give an idea of the combo, great choice Chris! 👍

Kinda tricky but very rewarding and a good way to learn throttle control!

Not posting split yet as i am not sure how busy the week will be for me, i will know tomorrow at work. i had a 1:01,241
after a few runs.

Have fun all! good to see you are back Ron! @Mr.p

The old DS3-button-mashing is difficult in this combo but I have a satisfactory clean lap after half an hour:

28.108
1'03.091

I'm finding the unpredictability of how the car settles under braking the most difficult thing to manage so far

Well, not surprisingly, I like it... quite a lot so far. :P

27.055
1'00.822

Hard to say how much might be left until James (@Twissy) comes along and goes half a second faster. :sly:

It's tricky with a wheel. It likes to get real light in the rear when the nose drops. Would be quite a handle with the sticks.

I need a friggin anchor to stop this beast, can't figure how someone can brake at the 150 m mark for the chicane.

Manual transmission down to 1st gear...pseudo locking the rears. If you can control the end whipping out around you, it stops very, very fast.
Also, setting ABS pretty high would make for a pretty big difference, I'd think.
No idea what settings were used in that vid.

I'm a ABS 1 and everything else at 0 kinda guy, but if someone wanted a really fast time TCS 1 or 2 and ABS 5+ would cut some time off, I'd imagine.

BB 5/5, ABS 1, TCS 0

No, TCS slows you down... pretty much a universal constant. High ABS does help a bit with this combo but not to stop faster, it just makes trail braking into the 2 Lesmo corners and Ascari a bit easier.

I've been all over the scale with ABS and the higher settings make stopping impossible for me. When I shift down too soon the rear whips out and the car starts to Rock-n-Roll.......I might have to give up on this one, can't get the hang of it.
