Threw away a T2 of 1'00.9 right at the apex of the final corner. Utterly infuriating, and my best lap of the night was dirty and I accidentally saved over my cleaner replay. Not that it was that quick...

All the best

Gave this one a quick run last night, just to get a feel for it. Slips and slides all over the place, but early splits are as follows,

T1 - 23.688
T2 - 1'01.261

Gave it a few laps tonight...reminds me of the Top Gear episode where Clarkeson is driving the Jag round the ice rink, in a race against a speed skater. Good Fun.

T1: 0.23.473
T2:1.00.964

Matt.

First splits:

T1: 23.421
T2:1'00.718
Not too keen on the tyre choice this week, (i always use the same compound on all 4 wheels). Ill try my best though and good luck to everyone else. Animera... nice times, keep up the good work, hope to see you join division 1 soon.. GTP_DEVIE

I don't believe it. 2 hours last night and all I managed to do was accidentally delete my best lap (which I didn't even improve upon in those 2 hours), so my splits on the board can be removed Bigracer, I don't have a replay to back them up.

I tried again this morning for an hour and a half and from a T1 of 23.8 I managed a T2 1'00.9 which I promptly ruined on the very next corner by running off track. Then I finally rediscovered how I was running T1s of 23.57x.

So in theory if I put the two together I can manage a 1'00.7xx eventually, but this is incredibly difficult to squeeze optimal speed out of.

I'll keep at it though because I reckon if I can nail all the sectors to the best of my ability and just put together my best splits so far, it will be the most satisfying hotlap I've ever done.

All the best

Funny one guy's :)

Just did a 10 lap trial on it and :

T1 23.450
T2 1.00.616
:sly:

Put in another dozen laps or so. There's still a bit to gain in the first two sectors and a lot more in T3, so I'll be back. :)

T1: 23.437
T2: 1'00.621

Great splits Wayne and Denur 👍

I've spent nearly 4 and a half hours on this combo and the best T2 I managed was a 1'00.9xx. To see you guys slaughter that ina handful of laps is pretty soul-destroying

45min after squash. Did see a 1'01.032 but on checking replay I had only just cut a corner.

T1 23.705
T2 1'01.205

Lol, I can say I know fuji quite well :sly:

Did some more lap with a best T2 at 1.00.4 but completely missed the end... :ill:

No worries mate, I´ll leave them on the board in the faith that you did indeed make those splits and even will improve over the course of the week 👍

Board updated.

First session of about 1.5 hours

T1 - :23.508 (seen a 23.3 a couple times)
T2 - 1:00.706 (seen a a few .6's)
Final - Still looking for a few more tenths to string it all together 👍

Well done guys 👍 Superb splits.

EDIT: I know it's April 1st, but that smiley up there is supposed to be a thumbs up!

All the best

Amazing how close the splits are at T2 (after about a minute of driving) throughout and beyond the top 10! :gtpflag:

Maybe its just me, but there is something different with the WRS in GT5P? I'm only a 1/4 second behind Dan, which for me is great. Yet, I'm half way down the Luxy leaderboard. Compared to the years I played the GT4 WRS, if I was .2 behind Dan, I'd probably be 2nd place, lol. Either GT5P is a lot easier for everyone to pick up and play, or the competition is tougher...or...? Not sure, what do you guys think?

Dunno about you mate, I'm even lower down the leaderboard this week

Definitely a lot of drivers have shown improvements and many more are using wheels as opposed to controllers and that has aided their improvement.

I think it greatly improves your driving ability, the handling of the cars in Prologue is completely different to that in GT4, where it is so easy to lean on a car. For me, it was very hard for me to pick up and play, thus why I did so poorly in the qualifier. I think people are improving a lot.

Back to the Mitsu. For the first time since I've moved to D3, I've been able to sit down and have a good 90 minutes of playing. Generally averaging 1'01.3s at T2, but did one very good lap, even if I was poor in T3. More to come, maybe not much in T1. 0.2 in T2 at least.

23.568
1'00.918

After a mere 6 laps I was able to better my T1 and final lap time, but the T2 was exactly the same as posted before. After that I got clearly better T3 times, but with much worse T1's and T2's, so no overall laptime improvement. This combo calls for more, much more track time this week. :)

T1: 23.397
T2: 1'00.621

That long righthander after T1 takes so much throttle/braking control, it's like petting a sleeping tiger with an appetite for human flesh. :scared:

Argh its starting to drive me insane

Still can't beat my fastest lap time but I've now seen a T2 1'00.860 I just need to put it with a good T3

Gave this a try and came up with these splits:

T1 23.823 (there is room for improvement as this is the slowest T1 reported sofar)
T2 1'01.554

I've noticed that too, I'm typically about 1.5 - 2% off the best times and that barely gets me noticed in division three. In general the racing does seem to be a lot closer than it was in GT4. There I was a happy camper if I could get within 5% of the fastest lap.

What's interesting is that in real terms this means that in an actual race the starting positions would pretty much determine the finishing order, even without considering what it takes to pass someone.
