Most of what I have learned of time trialing is suddenly moot. Will have a go tonight.

e: Hey, I can use my own car that I just bought and didnt change oil on? For the purpose of distance monitoring.
You could use your garage car for practice, but if you submit a lap with that car, it will be rejected.

Had another couple of laps.. made an error between T8 & T9.. so a slower T9. split.. In the second half of the lap..I was over .8xx down after another mistake.. but made it back up.. and then some.. being over 2 seconds up over the line.. so still have a lot of work to do

First 2 laps, maybe 3 seconds to find in the lap.. It's soo hard to get a perfect lap, so I won't take too much effort into it this week, as I'm at the ring for the 24hour race anyway :)

"Go faster, it's only a game!"

I tend to drive like I was on sports tyres in most corners.
Now at 50 km (courtesy car).

Here is a video from last TT we did at Nurburg, slightly different as we did not do the 24 hr part of the track. This is a different car, but it does show how the fast guys use the curbs and the whole track. If you never saw this replay it is worth watching.

I want to make sure I understand the track boundaries here. I would have thought that the driver was off-track (3 tires over the red and white rumble strips) at the 29 second mark in the video. Are the gray areas next to the red and white rumble strips considered part of the track?

Yes the gray cobbles are legal, always make sure to look at the Race Specifics section in the OP, as it may not always be the same as last time we used a given track:

Tarmac, cobbles, and Red and White Rumble Strips are Track

Had 1 quick lap and it was clean! Probably slow since it was lap 1, but I'll stick it on the board anyway :D

First couple of laps I was a bit rusty but soon remembered why this track brings out the best in a driver.
I'm really going to enjoy this week.

To be honest, the lap doesn't feel like a concept. The car is really nice to control and I pushed it quite a lot on the third full valid lap. There are two areas where the lap could've been better, but those are more in the region of tenths instead of seconds.

Very careful, just getting on the board.

First lap was really fun. :) Next lap was on-the-edge with adrenaline and some dumb mistakes, but 4.5sec faster. Final lap was less mistakes (although still quite a few) and tapped out my adrenaline for the night. Another 4sec.

No idea how you reach within tenths of your limits in 3 laps, Bart!

Unreal combo, Kev. 👍 Perfect mix of jump-right-in and don't-:censored:ing-drown! :mischievous:

I've only completed one lap out of quite a few attempts (I don't enjoy the GP section, so I'm always trying too hard), and I'm less off the pace than I expected based on my driving, so hopefully I'll see some better splits later in the week.

@Gameratwork99 - you're only supposed to post your first 9 splits, not all of them

Slightly similar to the Nordsleiefe with the Lancia rally car (of course 4wd makes a big difference but still) than Ron had set up isn't it?? Lots of grip and almost the same Hp...
