"Tarmac and Rumble Strips (Mainly Blue and White) are Track."

So, is that right-front on track? I cannot gamble. Rest of the lap is checked a-ok.

Everyone is super-fast this week  I had another session and couldn't get within .25 of my best lap. I have found another tenth or two in T1 but it's so hard to get...that first corner is really hard to accelerate out of confidently...am contemplating trying some TC next time.

27.540
53.117
1'14.531

Not a bad T1 considering I finished it with 2 wheels on the sand

Very good rest of the lap until losing half a tenth in the final corner, but I'm just glad I have a lap that's easier to verify 👍

Missed a couple .4s at T3 but they were with much better first sectors so I'm not in a hurry to run this again!

Thanks @mr_lab_rat

So,
T1: 28.733
T2: 55.100
T3: 1:17.667
Brake bal 6/6

@crowhop That's helping, I wasn't doing it at all but it's becoming easier quick, especially third gear.

Edit: new lap in the pipe

No offense lab_rat, but I would like an official ruling on this from @EDK I have had a similar, faster lap and considered it dirty because it didn't adhere to the following:

Tarmac and Rumble Strips (Mainly Blue and White) are Track. No Other surfaces are track. This includes the green astroturf inside the final turn.

The way I see it, the part where his right side tire is there, is neither the tarmac or Blue and White rumble strip.

The reason I said "Mainly Blue and White" was due to the fact that the rumble strips are worn and/or simply white in a few places. Mainly the exits of turns 4 and 10. Rumble strips are track, but I wanted to be sure I distinguished between those and the green bit coming out of the last turn. And I completely despise taking 14,000 pictures for the sake of clarity.

@Thematic Where the heck on track is that? Ahh, apex of Rainey, turn 9?

I think we need an in-house lawyer to check our Op's for phrasing....:boggled:

I guess another way of saying is that if we are clearly excluding a surface that seems ambiguous (like the green stuff) we will make specific mention of it.

If I intended to exclude the white bits of the rumble strips, (which seems a bit silly and arbitrary), I would say, "White portions of the rumble strips are not track. See example pictures below". And would take pictures of the afroementioned turns and note where they are under the pics.

But like I said, I despise doing that. :)

@EDK It was the second apex actually. I understood your phrasing then, which is mainly why I quoted it in the first place.

Here's the new splits I edit mentioned (this one doesn't give you PAUSE):

T1: 28.650
T2: 55.150
T3: 1'17.216

I've got a question: Does the wheel size affect the driving physics? Just a thought which I had today, because in "real life" it does.

Nothing that we have been able to verify. There was a bug when the game was first released with the width of custom wheels, where the handling would become worse on cars that normally have wider wheels on the back than the front.

But the reason we just allow upgrades is that there's not an apparent advantage, other than a placebo. ;)

My two recommendations are the FGTA WGTC, and CORE WEC(links in my sig).

While waiting for WRS entries to reopen, would it be alright if I just pretended I was registered:P? This combo is quite fun:).
try the GTCC..we have a new B division that is spec for guys like you and me.

That's bloody fast. Do you want to get kicked out of D4? Because that's how you get kicked out of D4 :)
The Division is not as important as getting faster on track for me. It is really embarrassing to be relegated to the back of the pack...sooo gotta work on it allot more and this is really working...especially the discussion between the faster guys ( which right now is most of you :D )on "how to". There are so many aspects of car control I would NEVER have even considered before.

But also....THIS IS ADDICTIVE.

Sorry. I didn't mean to piss you off or question your rules, I was just looking for some clarity. I'd hate to submit a lap and have it DQ'ed because I didn't clearly understand the boundaries. Like I said, I just considered my lap like that as dirty because I wasn't specifically on the Blue and White rumbles. Again, my apologies, I didn't mean to cause any harm here. Also, I asked specifically for your ruling here because you are the one that make the official rulings here. I've seen members be wrong before in giving out answers like that....I wasn't trying to disrespect @mr_lab_rat in the least.

You did not piss me off or question my rules. You asked for clarification on the rules, and I provided it.

I'm direct by nature, and that can take people aback, especially when they don't get the tone or expression to go with it.

The advantage is that everyone knows where they stand. The disadvantage is that people take my directness as aggression, which results in misunderstandings like this. :)

You can post splits if you like, but obviously since you aren't part of the WRS yet, you can't submit a time to fetchy and your splits won't be posted on the leaderboard. You'll like it here. We don't bite. :P

Alright, my apologies again then for misinterpreting the tone your post.

Won't be home till Saturday to see my actual splits, but they went something like:
27.6
53. something (I think)
1:15.2

Not very precise:lol:

Hoping to be in the 14s at the last split.

Mitch, you have a gift. And it's not a good one. You tend to piss people off for no reason :)
I have another friend like that (besides you). The poor guy never talks his way out of a traffic ticket, retail staff treat him like crap because the assume he is a problem customer, etc ...
Sadly, I don't think there is anything you can do about it. Sometimes people will take the worse of two possible meanings (especially on the internet, where it's difficult to express the right tone).
I've been blessed with the opposite personality. I'm a real prick but I hide it well and people generally like me :D

Isn't that just because you're Canadian? :sly: I mean, you guys all seem so nice.

Wow, alright then. I guess I'll just keep my mouth shut from now on then. I guess its alright when I'm posting tunes and helping people but the minute I question something or someone, I'm a complete ass. Just for the record though, I did say that it was nothing against you, which it wasn't. I just wanted an official ruling and clarification from the person that has the final say. Anyways, I'll refrain from engaging in any conversations as not to inadvertently use my so called gift, I'll just post my splits from now on and that will be it.

He just meant that people illegitamately get pissed off in response to some of your posts. EDK said folks respond to him in a similar manner at times. Intent is difficult. I'm a jerk all the time.

Come on, Mitch. Don't drive angry! This a community of brothers. And brother's don't shake hands, brother's gotta hug.

And that's a great example of this type of misunderstanding. Even the smiley didn't save me from being misinterpreted :)
Please don't stop contributing to the community, you are very important part of it.
I only wrote it because I found it funny how similar you are to my other friend. Thanks Crowhop for clarifying it. It's not your FAULT that people take things the wrong way, it's your LUCK. But the result is the same.

Best thing to do is read each post directed at you at least three times, each one in the nicest voice possible. This helps in two ways. First to put your mind in a "good" place to respond. And second to make sure you are comprehending what you are reading.

And never, ever reply to trolls.
