I spent some about 200 laps to get track and car and I'm still far from D1/D2 guys :(
This combo will be a great challenge!

Uh, so you didn't just jump to 15th on the Leaderboard then?

Anyway, I've submitted because I have just got my new wheel and can't get used to the Load Cell brake on the pedals yet - I'm still about a second off my best lap on this combo so better to submit just in case.

I believe I'm going to DFGT soon. DS3 is... well you know.

30.210
57.510

Slower T1 and T2 but about .7xx at the line

I done something wrong.
I've seem to do an impossible to repeat T3, I've seen .5xx at T2 and before the 2nd corner in T3 my ghost fly past me and I cross the line .2xx behind.

Also I've also been seeing a 29.xxx T1 and 57.2xx T2, just can't get it link with that T3

I spent a lot time on S3 too.
A lot of laps I did 29.xxx / 56.xxx and missed my ghost on last 3 turns.
Many many laps I miss about tenths on S3.

30.192
57.509

200 miles later and I've only seen a 29.7xx once and was so happy I ran the car into a wall. Slower T1 faster finish by .7 I wish I wasn't so bad at this.

EDIT- Interesting side note. I started the day with 0 miles on the odometer(after 50 or so laps) and 0 miles on the garage car. Stopped at 215 miles or so on the odometer. Exited to delete some replays, got back on the track and had 66 miles showing on the odometer. I'm confused.

I'm not even kidding, this describes my current fastest time exactly. How I'm managing to lose .7 to my self in the last sector is boggling my mind!

If you're like me it's actually the last turn in S2 that's the culprit. I was taking this wrong and beginning S3 with too little speed. Since you can floor it after that for quite a while, you really pay for any mistake.

(I still feel like I'm losing .5 in S2 for the same reason with that 90 degree turn.)

I'm more thinking the left at the top of the hill... If I'm on a really good lap, I have to force myself to lift going into there to get the ideal set-up for the double right at the end. Getting that first right hander properly allows you to get on the gas early for a good run down the straight, and not to go over the edge of the left curbing between the two rights. And taking the left at the top of the hill too quick just gets the car too out of shape coming into that section for me. I'll easily lose 3 of 4 tenths by making a mess of that.

How are you finding the new wheel so far? Brake pedal is quite different and it will take a good few sessions to adjust. There's more accelerator pedal travel as well, which gives better sensitivity but at first you might find yourself being slower getting on full throttle.

OK I put a good hour into this tonight and managed a few half decent laps. Not much by way of consistency over the laps with swapping between best sector times and throwing it away in another sector... Best for tonight:

29.558
56.075

Hesitant entry to the hairpin after T1 cost time all the way to the kink but a fairly solid 3rd sector, giving me my best lap of the night by a tenth. Its a fun combo for sure but I do feel a bit off the boil and every lap was different than the last. :P Hopefully I'll manage another couple of tenths before the end if I can muster up the consistency required.

I'm absolutely ruining my rseat evo v3 on these time trials.

I already bent the c-section of the frame during GT5 and rseat kindly sent me a new section which I was over the moon with.

Now I've ruined the replacement, the screws securing the c-section are coming loose every time I play!

I know I'm being too hard on it and can't expect rseat to replace it again, I might have to resort to looking into building another cockpit or resign to the fact that I've chosen a much too expensive hobby.

Even being able to beat my splits I'm now being too conservative every lap, so going have to submit with what I've got!

Finding trail braking very difficult, which in turn is making me slower as well. Its taking some time to get used to, but I do feel the throttle does have more travel, yes, so that's an improvement over my DFGT.

The wheel itself feels great, finding the settings a bit baffling - it's a bit more than just setting the FFB in the options so I don't really know if I've got the right settings, and the buttons are in weird places as well so I have to get used to that too.

Have you tried anything like this? rSeats are known for being fairly unstable, particularly in the wheel mount area but nothing a bit of welding and some gaffer tape won't fix. 👍

If you want a slightly 'looser' feel more like the Logitechs, try:

Dri 5
Spr 0
Dpr -3

FFB set to preference -I used 5 in-game GT setting and 70 on the wheel. Sensitivity set to how fast the car responds to steering inputs. 900 is best for most since it gives greater accuracy in fast steering inputs.

GT3 manual:

Button map is section 4 and in-game you use the G25 options menu to assign them.

Oh that too. Only for me getting that wrong is the difference between plowing into a wall or not, and not just saving some time ;)

These are my final splits, I've shaved 0.4 off my previous lap with probably my best final sector:

30.083
56.816

I've definitely enjoyed this combo, but knowing where the limit of the car is has been a real challenge, I feel like there's a possible 0.5 out there left with my ability, but it would take another 3-4 hours to find, which I just don't have. Good luck in the results folks 👍
