Thanks @randy1122 , I understand. I edited my pervious message. Because you cannot confirm within the replay if someone does a run up, it should be a self imposed rule and in keeping with the spirit of sportsmanship of the WRS.👍

Still too close for comfort though. :scared:

What are the odds of that happening? You a gambling men Darren? Some chips on 17 look quite good to me :D
Got the some time today to try to make it rain on your parade :mischievous:

Well, I submitted my lap, not at all happy with it, but oh well. Left about .3 out there. Good luck everyone.

Sorry for the delay in answering, but no need to wait until the deadline, S/F line speeds can be discussed. 80mph/128kph is what we've come up with as the max speed you should see at the very start of the replay, when doing checks.

Good questions. 👍 This track offers the extreme in being able to get huge (illegal according to our Race Specifics) S/F speeds by going outside the cone arc. The game doesn't red-lap you for doing so. Ideally it would do a "Next lap invalidated" if you do that. Most tracks aren't like this, which is why you don't see specific S/F rules stated in most other weeks. So us stewards figured out what max speeds we could achieve by doing pretty much what you said...get as big of a legal run to the line as we could and then look at the best lap replay and observe what the very first digital speedo number we saw was.

There's no way to tell if you do it before your lap starts though.

You are correct in there is no physical way to check the replay to see if a driver went wide at the start, but by using the start / Finish line speed in the replay (which has been tested) someone reviewing the replay will notice a big gain in there speed over the line which you can only achieve by going outside the cones.

Don't worry, got plenty of time myself to shave off a good .2-3 of a second :sly:

We were always pretty evenly matched drivers, but I don't think I meant we were that close!

So is there any way to see a table with all the lap times everyone achieved right now or do we have to wait until the end of the event?

i have to come to the point of that if i keep the first two sectors in the third it lower at least 0.1 more, but it was already complicated enough this.
16.684
36.334
for now it's good.after or tomorrow i will try again.now i was lost the orientation.:odd:

My NAT type is still NAT3. Will this be a problem for the race? (I don't think I can fix it easily any time soon, I'm still tethering via my phone and don't have "real" internet yet. I *might* be able to hack something together at some points, with proxies and so on.

Just ran a lap .3 sec quicker than my last fastest and forgot to save the replay

I wish I knew how people were so fast in sector 1.

I'll have to cancel on submitting a time as I deleted a load of replays and deleted the Dino ones by mistake and I won't get time to run again :(

Yeah, this combo could be a bit frustrating. So far I have managed:
1. Spin out in the banked loop (36.450 T2)
2. Cut the chicane too much (by 3/8" - the width of a tire valve)
3. Spun out in the final turn (also 36.450 T2, nailed the final sector and just got too greedy)

Submitted, accepted. Left two tenths at least, but I won't have time for this tomorrow, and I want the extra credits for Hassle's championship!
Darren, this one's yours mate 👍

I only had a day to play with this, and I keep sabotaging my best laps by creeping into the white line or bumping a cone. I probably will not submit anything. I hope I have more time this week.

Perfect response. future that should not turn to that, I find it silly .the moderators I think they tested the repetitions and if there are any questionable only running against the ghost car to compare the speed of exit .who try knows that they will see it and you will be disqualified

Still clueless in sector 1. I have no idea where to brake.

just two tips and I think will help to improve any one thousandth and speed out of turns. first bites a little piano, one drawn more linear she is using better speed, I see as low 161 to 160.in this way you will keep or even you optimize the speed (in that it is already is something). and second, take advantage of the width of the track brake, also improve the speed of exit of curve. At the beginning it will be difficult to find the proper path few end of the piano, another way will force you to rectify when you reach the edge of the track, you don't follow all of the piano.

There is a crack in the pavement that goes all the way across. There are more than one but this one seems to be a bit bigger.
As far as position on the track make sure to leave some room on the left (at least a car width) because the edge of the track is dusty.
And yes, use trailbraking as releasing the brakes helps to rotate the car.
