This is a good conversation point, I am always looking at S/F line speed. It seems in some combos that, the top speed is gained on a full lap prior to hot lap. On others I feel like I can hit it on a restart straight away. Is this something that is considered when the combo is created? Obvi it was thought about on this one. Not trying to create a controversy, but this is the first time that I can remember that S/F speed would be a consideration for DQ. Perhaps it is because SofWS has the layout that requires that consideration? ....As an addendum, can we talk about how we got to a certain speed at S/F? i.e; "I ran to the edge of the cones, put it in reverse, and then hammered it to S/F?" I did not do that for the record, but it does beg the question.
Good questions. 👍 This track offers the extreme in being able to get huge (illegal according to our Race Specifics) S/F speeds by going outside the cone arc. The game doesn't red-lap you for doing so. Ideally it would do a "Next lap invalidated" if you do that. Most tracks aren't like this, which is why you don't see specific S/F rules stated in most other weeks. So us stewards figured out what max speeds we could achieve by doing pretty much what you said...get as big of a legal run to the line as we could and then look at the best lap replay and observe what the very first digital speedo number we saw was.

Yes, you can talk about how you start a hotlap, yes you can talk about how you take all parts of T3, you just can't post a video of your T3 or mention any of your T3 times publicly.

We used to have folks that would routinely write up full-track guides on how they take every portion of the track and we've kind of lost that, for some reason.

Slowly getting better at t1, although you can't tell on this lap. T3 is my best by over a tenth. It's probably fairly average for you fast guys, but this lap will be hard for me to beat.

I've heard these cars are fun to drive on gt6. I never had a reason to buy one. I'm looking forward to trying this combo.

with no TC...might try it later with it on

There is a perfect amount of PP this week. :dopey: And the car in the OP photos is green too.

If only I had a playseat or something like that... I have to fix my wheel on the desk  :yuck:
Go to bobearlracing.com these driving cockpits are on sale as they have been discontinued. Also there is s link there for a UK company so you can get it more readily. Works great....just like s formula car and very inexpensive when compared to Playseats.
Cheers
My car is Ferrari's version of Sassy Grass Green And Go Green....my new color.

Will leaderboard pick up multiple laps in one post

Edit:

0:17.066
0:37.383

After race...great fun...I no longer hate this Mickey mouse track I merely dislike it as TOO technical for meeee.

If you HAVE to drive THIS track....the car is PERFECT. 👍

2nd night with my 1st ever wheel/pedal set (G27), just ABS on...

17.267
37.850

Couldn't string more than 2 laps together without ditching it though lol.

My lower back is killing me using a wheel/pedals for some reason :ouch: Bringing all aspects of reality a little closer I guess!

Just realised I logged in with my old account which I didn't think I could access anymore, hence me creating this account with is registered for GTP WRS :banghead:

So again...

Had a nice little session out in the desert:

16.875
36.825

And found about 0.35 at the line. It's not perfect but it is pretty sweet and will likely be my final submission for this combo...'twas good fun 👍

Nice first splits Joe.
I just matched my LB splits but only improved by 0.006
Still looking for two tenths :(

Edit: and now I beat it by .150 with T2 slower by .150

So basically I reached my target but now I'm looking for two more tenths :)

Probably this will be my last splits and the submission for this week i have 128km/h at the start of the straight. Can improve the time by a tenth or two but yeah i cant keep up the 128km/hr limit everytime .I did had a 36.3 but with 130km/hr

This combo is fun! I wonder why I didn't do a run earlier!

16.800

I have one question for the last sector: After the straight coming out of the oval, there is a fast left hander followed by a slow one and right after this corner there is a right hander with cones on the inside. I didn't touch it on my lap, but my question is, if there was no cone (for example if I kicked it away on a previous lap), would I be allowed to cut that corner til the white line? Because I wouldn't have any contact with other objects as there would be no cone any more.

Had a good 2nd sector just couldn't sting it all together in the same lap. Good luck everybody. My final splits for this combo

Nice splits. To answer your question: No that's not allowed. All cones should be intact and on their original spot on the submitted replay. Just like the brake markers at Laguna Seca. Once you hit one, it's best to restart your whole session immediately.

Surprised my splits have held up to div 2 all week...until now

Found .2 at the line, doubt I can find much more

Ah I see, thanks for the fast respond!

Thanks for that @Nail-27 , I just talked to Bob Earl and am going to pick up a rig. He says he has about 30 or so left, then he is done. Probably won't be another opportunity to buy a rig like this. I am glad I saw your post.

So, is it legal to do a run up from outside of the cones if you hit S/F at 80mph? Is this what most do? Anyone? I am not insinuating that anyone does or is doing anything unsporstsman-like, it does however seem to be against the spirit of the TT's as S/F line speed is usually a result of skill, not space....

My first time registering for a GTPlanet event. I've submitted - "Your time of "xxxxx" for week 36 has been accepted."

Anything else I need to do? Do I just wait for a message to tell me when the race is? (I've configured GTPlanet to email me with any messages)
