I still dislike this track, but I'm getting a bit faster...

17.167
37.683

I've driven like 5 laps on this track:lol:. I've always wanted to drive more on it, and this looks like my chance.

Slower T1, but identical time to T2, and a better T3:

16.833
36.450

Using BB=3/2 ABS=1, and just like I did in the Megane I'm using the driving line. :( Will try to drop that in tonight's session, but it really helps for that first hairpin.

I screwed up S3 by 2/10ths, and I saw sub-17 S1's, but this is still the fastest so far...

17.133
37.283

Great car :)

16.733
36.466

Pretty good T3. The run out of the far end hairpin is crucial.

Same T1, slightly faster T2, and 3/10ths at the line...

17.133
37.233

The problem with this track has nothing to do with the layout. It's just too far out in the middle of nowhere! I mean nobody shows up to watch us here. Look how many people showed up last week at High Speed Ring. It was almost standing room only. Here, there's what...half a dozen photographers at the most! Pathetic! Where's our PR and Advertising guys when you need them?

540km on this combo and I'm starting to reach my limits: (submitted)

16.666 (seen a .5 once)
36.233

Burned a little time in the righthander after T2 while painting the tarmac.

Yup, that's it exactly! I used to live 10 miles South of Willow and went there just once!!

What about the knocking over of cones, as long as you still have two wheels on the track. I'm talking mainly the cone at the last right hander before the quick left then right onto to straight to the finish line. Also, in the Seasonal here, people were going way wide, outside of the cones, to get a running start down the straight...I take it that's not allowed here? It shouldn't be anyway in my opinion, but I just want to make sure I'm not missing out on any advantages, :P

@Mini Stiggy I thought you were among us that were complaining that we were sick of this track due to all the Seasonal events that PD keeps having here plus all the times its used in career mode. I could have sworn you ran the Seasonal events with us here. :odd:

I tried to make that clear in the OP Race Specifics. No touching cones, regardless of which ones they are.

  • Cones are not to be touched.
  • The inside of the white line is the track boundary, as detailed below.
  • Breaking boundary rules on the final corner of the lap prior to your best lap is strictly forbidden. We will make cursory checks of Start/Finish line speed on all replays, and will disqualify outliers.

Alright, thanks. I missed the part about the breaking boundaries, my mistake.

Nope. The only time I've ever done a seasonal at Willow Springs was that 500pp(?) one, and I just did 1 lap to get gold for the cash. In fact, the only seasonals I've ever tired hard at are:
Rocket at Suzuka
Lotus F1 at Spa
GT500 at Laguna
FGT at Silverstone

I think I'm missing one or two, but they for sure weren't at Willow Springs:)

I presume those of us who do the checks will have the range of acceptable start-line speeds given to us sometime around closing time Monday.

Ah, I must be thinking of someone else then, my mistake. :)

16.75x
36.26x

Some more to get... yet to hit 16.6 at T1 .703 is my best

edit:

16.733
36.250

Because of the precise throttle control needed, this has got to be one of the most difficult combo's for me so far.
Slowly but surely

16.989
37.122

Well, here are some new splits. They resulted in a faster lap time, so I'm not complaining.

17.069
37.119

This is getting a bit frustrating. I keep hitting 36.6xx at T2 but always fail to keep it together in s3.
Shaved another tenth from my lap time but it's with 36.884 T2.
