I suggest you love it :)
Your first sector is great but you are leaving quite a bit in the second.

I seem to be having the same problem. I saw a 36.7xxx once but it was more luck than me knowing what I'm doing

In s2 I avoid the left curb but cut across the right one. If you minimize your steering angle you can reach over 180 before starting to turn in for the long sweeping left.

Already doing this, so I guess that's good

As Ed said previously in this thread it is possible to avoid sliding and scrubbing speed. It's better to concentrate on minimal steering angle and maximum speed rather than trying to stay as close to the inside as possible. I carried as much as 178kmh through there, 175 is very doable even with a small slide.

Aye, there's the rub. I kind of understand this is what I need to do, but not really sure how to turn theory into action... I'm definitely skidding too much through that left hander

The chicane is tough. The car tries to oversteer when you release brakes. I fight it by getting partially on throttle before I'm done braking and smooth pedal inputs.

I've had success with this technique as well.

There are only two braking zones but you can safely bump up the brake balance. I ran with 4/6 but you can go even higher.

Haven't experimented with brake balance yet, this might be worthwhile to see if it helps

Are you taking the little section before the big left turn at full throttle? It can be a little bit and miss but you should try to take it at full throttle and minimise steering input there as well. Maybe you can try to take turn 2 a little bit wider to get greater exit speed, very important to get a good exit there.

Bad first corner on this lap, the rest was very good. It's really about hundredths now for me, but I still want to get those as well.

Actually scratch that I'm satisfied enough.:P

I just submitted and got accepted, but my time does not show up on the leaderboard. How long does it take to update the leaderboard?

Also, is there a way to play the reply file on the computer?

You submitted your full lap. That's for the results at the end of the week.

If you want your splits to be on the leaderboard, you should put them in a post, like you see other drivers in this thread doing.

i.e.

xx.xxx
xx.xxx

Finally, there's not a way to play the replay file on a PC, it will only work on the console. You see some folks making video of their laps, but they are using video capture cards to do that.

Thanks for the explanation. It's more clear now.

My not so impressive split:
18.033
37.383

This week is doing my head in!!! :banghead:
I usually start the week off by picking one or two of you as targets and attempt to track my progress with how close I can get to those times or surpass them if possible.
But given the nature and the length of the run this week, I am chasing hundredths.
Get the first sector right, screw up the left sweeper, or I get the first second right and blow my brake marker into the last sector.
Is it just me or does anyone else find themselves gritting the teeth or taking a deep breath through certain parts . . .

None of that, I just close my eyes, hang on and hope for the best.

Nice job! Gives me something to aim for if I can just fix my T2 :)

But the time of the last sector was very bad... my total lap time is not very competitive.

With some help from @mr_lab_rat i have now improved the time of the last sector at about 0,5 second compared with my previous time, unfortunately, the splits are a little worse (T1 17.950 and 36.783).

Before the chicane i use the throttle while releasing brakes and at the long lefthanded corner my speed ist between 174 - 176 kmh. That are the two things that helped me.

LOL yeah...everytime I can gain a tenth or two in the first sector, I either mess up the left hander or the chicane afterward. It's tough chasing.
