Switched back to Chris's tune just to see, and right away got a better lap, but only by a hair. Slightly slower splits, though.

I tried on and off a few times today. I beat my best twice for a total of .02, one hundredth each time. I then matched my best time on the nose to the thousandth. My rankings board has all 8 lap times within a tenth, I am probably not finding that last elusive tenth.
Same here, gave it about 30 laps today with both Animera's tune and then back to doodle's, and finally started seeing some 20.8's and 20.9's in T1, but the only laps that were faster overall were dirty.

So I figure I'm done here and am headed to Monaco. :)

Good luck to all still running here. 👍

Right, just to avoid any confusion:

This is Nursemorph posting :P

Right, now I've resolved that issue, back to the now renamed Ford Focus ST666 '13...named as I believe it is the Understeering demon minion of Hell

Not knowing when to quit, I went back to this yesterday evening and started again. using @Vagabond tune as a base (thank you 👍), I ran 50 laps doing what I do best: randomly moving sliders to different places (it does work sometimes!) and, shockingly to me, managed to set a PB S1, S2, S2 Split and Fastest lap , though not all in the same lap. Managed to get a .004 first sector but messed up in the next corner as usual. My fastest lap was only 0.070 quicker but I will take that. Having seen the new event for this week, I may stay with the Focus as the LCC Rocket is not among my favourites (though Monaco is....a beautiful city to visit, highly recommended 👍):

S1: 21.098
S2: 36.231

Have to deal with the same problem as week 4 again. Doing good T1 in the beginning and struggling in T2. Now i found the time i needed in T2 (able of doing 14's) and my T1 sucks big time :banghead: I hate suffering from sector syndrome

New splits. Totally messed up T1, but with a nice sector 2. Now that I know what theoretically is possible it's nagging me to run again. Maybe tomorrow evening.

By the looks of it you made an even bigger mess of T2

New splits:

20.887
36.054

And 0.2 at the line. Have actually gone faster than this at both splits but again messed up the last section so might have another go if i get time! After struggling with this to start with really started to enjoy it the last two sessions!

Is there a way to highlight tuning configurations or put them at the top of a thread? I rarely get time to play until the end of the week and by that point there is 15+ pages of posts to wade through.

Just got back to this and did a quite consistent string of 19 laps before I finally managed to improve my first sector (actually slightly worse turn 1 but improved turn 2). Managed to keep the rest of the lap fast to gain a little over a tenth at the line.

Searching the thread for posts by doodlemonoply and Vagabond is normally a good idea, they almost always tune for the TT and give people good results. The new TT is without tuning though, so trying that may be a good idea too.

Did some more laps today, a few times I was able to go a tenth faster in sector 1, but I haven't been able to keep that gain in sector 2 and 3, so no overall improvement for me.
But I was pretty satisfied with my lap on the leaderboard anyway, so I submitted it and it got accepted. On to the next one. :)

Well, I reached my goal, T2 below 37.xxx

21.212
36.884

I am not too eager to move on to Monaco - hate the track. Have never won on that track. Never.

So I might go some more on Brands.

One of my favorite things in the WRS TTs is that it "forces" me to adapt and learn. Doing enough laps and closing in on the leaders allows me to know more about tracks and cars. Few combos get me excited when I start on them, but it's fewer still that I don't learn to enjoy :)

I suppose you are right 👍.
I hated Lotus Elise before week 5 -- after a week driving nothing else I liked the little fire-ball :D

i just submitted my first time and i got this msg:
Errors:
SuspensionKit setting is invalid
TransmissionKit setting is invalid

i dont think i touched suspension at all, what did i do wrong?

You might not have bought the FC suspension and did buy the FC transmission.

Correct parts are FC suspension and Six-Speed Transmission.

Caught me again NEMO, well done! Had pretty much the same goal. I've spent most of this afternoon moving the sand into the trees on that (T2) corner. Still trying........ for sub 36.800....now
