Grabbed pyxen, dmanaenk, and Apollo's replays...

Thanks LIL_KACHING for checking mine!

Plato, there's a guide thread in the WRS threads, for how to check replays. Go look for it,
and if you still don't find anything I can try to dig it up.

A D1 podium! I'm surprised my T3 didn't feel all that good on my submitted lap so I was expecting to get beat to the line by a few others... I'll take it though. :dopey:

Here is my replay.

I guess checking replays this week should be focused on wall touches, mostly, right? Don't have to check for tires, upgrades (arcade mode), but maybe watch out for SRF? Any tips on how to spot that?

These guys were all clean with no real wall brushes to speak of, and no, I'm not asking about SRF with respect to you 3. :)

Amazing smoothness and lack of tire smoke!

First week I remembered to actually submit my time haha.

Very enjoyable event, I had tons of fun sliding through the hairpins I don't care if it cost me time...the replay is lots of fun to watch too.

Good work all....1'34 times....unreal.

Amazing smoothness and lack of tire smoke!

Main thing to look out for will be wall touches at the top of the hill in T1, entry to the tunnel and mostly the dreaded chicane at the exit of the tunnel in T2 (most critical that only 2 wheels inside the chicane there). Than of course as you mention the rest of the T3 walls, especially the last kink onto the striaght before the last hairpin. Paused my replays millions of times to check that damn chicane :)

Congrats to all podiums and of course especially to JoshMuggo who went even faster than my guesstimate. I actually enjoyed this one. Used 50/50 torque and 5/5 brakes. (What can I say, I like symmetry)

Edit: Just noticed that there was only a tenth of a second between third and sixth place in Div 1.

Hey guys. Well done to everyone who had a go at this one this week and all the placegetters (is that a word?? :)). i know how frustrating this week was.

Here is my PAL replay for those who want to see it. thankyou in advance to whoever verifies it.

Josh.

Nice one all :)

Gave it my best shot this week, my "dubious" lap was slightly slower than Ash though so glad I didn't submit it.

Great work Ash, Chuk - a good race :)

And a very well done to millross to nip me in the final hours!!

👍 👍 - I had to try and topple you this week after you cleaned up at Grand Valley last week :sly:

Here's mine

Looks good to me. (Understatement!) Smokin' up the tyres in a couple of places - lovely handbrake turn at the hairpin too :)

Great lap, dunno where your TWO whole seconds came over my lap, I think I drove very similar lines, just slower...everywhere :)

Some of the time posted here is just.......you know who you are...

It's my first WRS in 5 years and maybe its the rust (nah), but I have no idea how you guys did it cause T1 has been absolute hell for me. Lap after lap I was seeing mid/high 27s low 28s, but I guess the rest of the lap was good enough as my next best lap was a whole .7 slower. So, yeah, I can live with that. :)

And here is the replay:

Beat me to it :)

Unbelievably clean both of you, especially at the chicane. Was actually surprised how far away from the walls you both were. In comparison I look like a bad chain smoker, throwing down packets of Benson & Hedges.

Well done to everyone! some amazing times out there!!

Shig, thats a stunning time mate.... I knew i was nowhere near it, havent got a clue how i lost so much time in T3 over you :(

Will get my replay up tonight and hopefully check a few this week!

Why was my submitted time rejected for being past the deadline? I submitted on Thursday last week. I was busy since then and only just noticed the message.

Ouch. Not a good result for me on this combo. I just couldn't get a good handle on the car and track.

Congrats to all the winners and podium finishers. 👍

Well, congrats to all who made the podiums in their respective divisions. As for my mate Josh, can't say i'm surprised by the time..... he's just that good.

I remember standing behind him when he was competing at the Australian Finals of GT Academy last year (he finished a very unlucky 3rd, i was a very lucky 8th!) and thinking to myself "this bloke looks scary good". Now i'm not blowing smoke up his arse here, but the one thing you get from watching Josh is how precise and refined his initial inputs when cornering are, and he rarely has to add input after the fact, it's just one, smooth motion...... it's bloody hard to describe, but it's really impressive to watch.... i later found out on the bus trip back to the airport that he had only used the DFGT for just over a week!!!!

As for me, i wanted to run P2 overall behind Josh..... because he said thats what he wanted to see! Got lucky with a few of the big guns missing this round, but i'll take it. My time was good, but a little unhappy with the swimming pool complex, i don't think i got it right all week.... which cost me T2 to the line.

Anyways... replay is included for viewing

Well done to my good mate Steve as well. Mission accomplished brother!!! Always good to bounce ideas and strategy with someone else and you are excellent at interpreting and giving your 2cents worth. Have to credit you with some of my speed mate! Keep driving as you are and you'll be up another division soon too. I'll help you wherever I can.

Now your just embarrassing me mate! Some people's dreams change from when they are a kid of being a fireman or a doctor or a policeman, they grow up and become a bit more realistic. Mine has always been a race driver and still is.

I'll tell you all now that what happened at the Australian GT Academy last year was a massive disappointment, and I am still getting over it. So when it rolls around again (if), nothing is going to stand in my way of going to silverstone.

Some of you may wonder where I have come from, so that's just a little bit of background on me. And know as well that I am more than happy to help anyone out and get some more speed if they need it. Don't hesitate to ask.

Josh.

Congratulations to Division and Podiums......and a special 👍 to GTP_Darkstar, 1st in D5!

I just knew my T3 [too much wall-awareness] would do me in and it did! :nervous:

Here's my replay! Beware the smoke!

You used the brake a total of seven times during the lap compared to my 13. I must learn to not keep my foot on the brake.

Congrats to all participants, division winners, :cheers:and specially to "alien" Josh that gives a new meaning to speed

Not my best week (not that i have good weeks :sly:), bit dissapointed, but every time i got a better lap it was no good because of the chicane.
The submited lap was the worst of the good ones :banghead:

Congratulations to all the podium placers and to everyone who stayed sane through the streets of Monaco.

I've also just watched Josh's lap. Otherworldly!
