I dont think I have done this right because all your posts have zip files mine has rar.
But then again it maybe ok.

It doesn't matter, they're basically the same thing and most archive tools will open both formats. :)

Brazz, when you create an archive with winrar you can specify zip, or rar. Just different formats thats all.

Thanks for sorting that out for me guys, and thanks for my first green flag ! Now can you just help me get a bit faster:lol: I think I will need lots off help with this weeks WRS I am too too slow.

Here's my first upload. Hopefully it's done ok
I'm a bit worried about the corner before the tunnel, i can't hear anything but i can't see it on the replay either

Anyone have any ideas, would like to see josh's lap :)

First off, export a replay of your own to your PS3, then copy it to a memory stick - this will give you the file structure and just makes it easier to import other replays and understand the file structure for future reference, etc

1.) Download lap you want to watch from forum
1a.) Unzip and put on memory stick, place it in the correct place within the PS3/SAVEDATA folder - copy the replay folder itself into here, it should look similar in name to the replay that you exported yourself
1b.) Stick USB stick in PS3 - go to the PS3 Game data option (UP from the GT5 disc icon) - select your USB stick. Find replay and press triangle. Select copy. If you have an existing replay that uses that index (e.g. 006) it will ask you to confirm the overwrite. If you're happy with this, press OK to overwrite.

2.) fire up GT5. go to GT home. Go to replay theatre. Find little icon that says "Import" - press it. select file to import. press OK. You have to do this I think, because the data is NOT your own, therefore it doesn't appear by default. The import icon is also tiny and quite hard to see.

3.) Watch replay!

4.) Have nice cup of beer and watch replay again.

5.) Get annoyed with Eiger T1 in current round!

Hi all
Same as me with the replays, I understand the way to import export and view the problem I have had is trying to unzip them on my pc in the first place. It normally says something along the lines of compressed zip folder is empty. Have had no problems zipping my own replays for uploading using windows 7
Any ideas

Sounds like the same problem I have

Grab winrar from http://rarlab.com/download.htm and try that

Choose the X86 version (first option) if you have a 32-bit OS (standard windows xp, vista and 7 are 32-bit)

I use this and it works, it IS technically a trial version - but does not expire.

Try this. I had problems at the start when using internet explorer. As advised by someone I downloaded google chrome, I did not select it as my main browser but use it when I'm downloading replays, click on the attatched file and it unzips it all for you.

Tricky call, but after getting second opinions that agree I am sure this needs to be flagged.

Car hits invisible wall in the second curve, at 0'17.

There is an invisible wall from the curb and up, so it is not possible to actually hit the barriers (never noticed, just checked). So it is not possible to see the impact, the car looks clear from the barrier.

But you can clearly hear it in cockpit view and bumper mode, and see the speed drop in data logger.

As someone who cares about free software (and software licenses) I urge you to not endorse violating software licenses (as in trial that doesn't really expire). I agree that WinRAR is by far the fastest to tool I've seen to decompress rar-files, but http://www.7-zip.org/ gets the job just fine and is free and open source. Please consider recommending 7-zip to extract files from rar-archives in the future. :dopey:

Nice lap. Some close corners but I could not find any touches.

Thanks for watching, you are meant to live dangerously with the walls on monaco, if you don't you loose a lot of time and for corners overall exit speed.

I messed up the turn before the tunnel by running wide, that cost me a lot of time on route to the chicane, think it could have been a tenth or two faster.

Same here, had to let go of the throttle there and lost some speed. I did better T2's but my overall times were slower

I noticed on the leaderboards that I am not on the overall podium like this thread suggests, where did the american come from :sly:

Some very quick times again this week, well done to all who got podiums 👍

Here's my PAL replay....

That is a little strange, I'd expect the time to show up in the list in this thread as well.

Thats what I thought, not to fussed though this is only my first WRS event.

He has no replay up yet either and didn't see him post splits once in the thread not that you have to as long as you submit the final time.

Sparks ...

I believe you have checked, but not enough. I was not sure what I saw on first replay, and it took some tries to grab it.

I had to make these from crappy cellphone video frames as it is difficult to pause at the right moment, and even when I did, photomode would not render the sparks anyway!

The sparks look different in every replay, and are sometimes completely hidden or buried in smoke. There is some randomness in replay.

Munchs' Dirty Lap

After looking at your pics, you look correct! I didnt spot this when I was checking it myself :(

Thanks for the view though bud 👍

I get the feeling there may be a few red flags this week :(
