My first splits

27.530
1'13.952

This is a very nice combo but don't think I will improve much as I don't have much time available 'till Monday :(.

Improved my lap by 0.2 at the line but should have been more to cautious in t3 after I saw my ghost so far behind

T1 26.750
T2 1:11.167

Should have been in the 10s on t2 but had a slide on exit of chicane started to work out the best way of driving this now

Took me a while to get race pace up again but I finally nailed pretty much my perfect lap:

27.017
1'12.034

I can't see any more time to gain so I think that's me done for the week (but we'll see, all this marking I have to do may make me yearn for a return to Monaco!)

After posting splits yesterday i noticed the lap was dirty  the front wheel fender was going through an armco in t3 ...
had a session tonight because of that, i should be sleeping instead of playing , i work early tomorrow

but its an addicting combo! 👍

26.333
1'10.167

horrible t3 for only 0,010 gain at the line

i have a question about the boundaries for the chicane, is it allowed if half the tire is on the curb and the other half is verticaly aligned with the outside of the curb but not touching the ground?

Technically yes, that's clean.

BUT!!!

Please don't make it hard on your reviewer, and make them ask a steward, only to have us spend a good amount of time on it as well. The "contact patch" must be completely above red-n-white.
If it's too hard to tell, you know what to do - throw it out. Be 100% sure it's clean. It's such a long wait in the replay from T1 to the chicane as well, if we have to watch that part over and over we're not gunna be happy. :)

Thx for the quick answer Lucas, the current lap is like that unfortunatly, its easy to see that the tire dont touch the ground though, i will try my best to run an other lap that is cleaner.

Insane T1 Mike!
thx Andrew! insane t2 by the way!

The tire being in the air or not does not matter. The tire can lose contact with legal track, but as long as the contact patch remains vertically above legal track, it's fine.

Your response didn't convince me that you understand the rule.

EDIT: By "easy to see that the tire dont touch the ground though" did you mean "easy to see that the tire doesn't go into illegal area"?

You said technicaly thats clean in the previous post, i dont see how i would misunderstand?

Now i understand when you say '' the tire being in the air or not does not matter'' that mean its dirty.
i wanted to know if its legal if half the tire is verticaly aligned with ''outside'' of the legal part but not touching the ground.

I will run another lap anyway, and if i dont have time for another session i will not submit, wasting everyone time checking replays is the last thing i want.

:)

Wowzers...I have identical splits on my submitted lap  I'm not entirely happy with my finish though so I think you've probably got me. Our two laps will probably make an interesting side by side comparison :)

I probably won't be able to submit this week, as my lap on the board is only from one 2 hours stint and I'm not really comfortable submitting a practice lap like that.

So why don't I try to improve it then? Well I started feeling really sick on tuesday, and it kept getting worse towards the weekend and yesterday I went to visit a doctor and was diagnosed with pneumonia. This disease causes little things, like walking to the bathroom make me feel super exhausted and out of breath, so sitting behind the wheel isn't really an option for now.

It's been the most miserable couple days (and especially nights) of my life, but gladly I'm on strong antibiotics now, and I'm hoping to get better soon. I'm not sure how fast a human body can recover from an illness like this, but maybe I'm able to take part on next weeks WRS.

Anyways, I feel a bit disappointed that I couldn't give this one more time as I really enjoyed it, but it is what it is. Good luck to everyone with this one, already some crazy times up there!

Now see why I want a HUGGY emoticon. Deton clearly needs a hug! ((((Deton))))

I hate this combo...but only because I'm bad....After a D3-Podium last week, I thought I was better, haha

EDIT: Listen to The Exploited now, seems to help
