Spent about a hour of running the TT this morning and managed to beat my previous best by 0.330
Then immediately went in to panic mode was it clean was the chicane clean was SRF off it track set to real after I checked all that I relaxed and admired my replay

T1 26.750
T2 1:11.150

T3 is where all my time was gained think there's a 0.2 left for me to find as had a few 10s in t2

Back in my own rig:

26.900
1'11.333

But clean this time :D My previous best had a ever so slightly dirty right front wheel through the chicane :embarrassed: And I'm 3 hundredths down at the line...

I know there is 3 tenths out there, but I can't piece it together. And I am now officially horrible through T1, Massenet (corner 2 left at the top of the hill) is driving my bonkers! Should I coast, brake run wide and pull back across for a tight exit ?!?

I'm braking at top of the hill change down to 3rd then to 2nd as the revs drop minimal power almost coasting keeps you tight to apex and sets you up nice for casino

Better T2 and at the line, but worse T1

28.100
75.883

Good you are back after those friday night blues ... :)
Thanks very much for your info on Monaco. This track is in my oldest memory of seeing F1 on TV (in b&w, 68 or 69); I remember very well a Ferrari in flames and the shock of the disapearance of the great Lorenzo Bandini. Life and death always mix in our lifes, and now, thanks to WRS where we have a outstanding well made trial for this week that wont hurt anyone

@Deton I hope you get better !

Worst T1 and T2 but better overall indicates that I have to work harder :ouch:

27.917
1'13.934

2nd through Casino eh? Hmmm, I'm doing that in 3rd... Back to the rig!!

Cheers! 👍

You are welcome Francisco :)

I have found that having a map, and a print-out of that map helps me get better at driving the track.

I use the print-out to mark in my own braking points, gears and speeds.

next time the TT makers decide to use this car on a narrow track - allow us to remove the tires entirely...:banghead:

Finally getting to give this serious attention after traveling all week. I may be longing for the DS3 I once used. This track requires quite a bt of wheel turning to say the least....fun as heck though. I will post times in 50 laps or so.....D3'ers are making it more than hard to keep up for me....Woop Woop D3!

OK. Time to drive blind - paying way too much attention to numbers and not enough to driving.:D:mad::scared:

@mickyevs where are you, Slowpoke, come on, this ain't so bad :)👍

Submitting with these. Took one last run this morning and found the time I was looking for plus a little extra.

26.891
1'11.441

Just a quick question guys, is this clean or dirty? It is right on turn 5 Mirabeau Haute, my wheels are half on and half o, they never fully cross the rumple strip. Thanks.

Both left tires seems to be on or in line with the tarmac, so this is clean according to this:

  • At Least 2 Tires must be in contact with track at all times.
    • In situations where contact with the track is not possible because tires are airborne (above the ground), then the run is only legal if at least two tires in-line would have made contact with the track if the car were not airborne.
    • If track contact cannot be 100% determined, then consider it dirty.
  • Rumble/ripple strips are part of the track.
  • No contact with walls or objects, visible or invisible
  • If you're not 100% sure that your lap is clean, then consider it dirty
  • No hybrids
  • No cheating of any kind, these are relaxed races and we are experienced racers, we know what times can be done, and we can read your mind.We will know.
  • Nothing that goes against the spirit of the rules

Thanks for the quick reply, i actually thought if you go out of the red and white rumple strip on the non track side it is dirty. So on that picture can i go all the way to the wall (without hitting it of course) and it will still be clean?

yes. as long as at least two tires are on or over tarmac. 👍

NOTE: this is not the case with the Chicane after the tunnel.

Earlier on this thread, it was said that all hard surfaces are track except inside the chicane. Does the sidewalk-type surface after the Grand Hotel Hairpin count as track?

YES: All Hard Surfaces are Track, with the Exception of the Inside of the Chicane

EDIT: I assume you mean the teracotta colored strip inside the rumble on the right at the bottom as you come out of the hairpin

As Nemo said, yes it's legal, but for you to have 4 wheels above (inside) the rumble and all on the sidewalk you'd be so close to the wall that you should be checking *that* with the camera as well.

I have long wondered about this line in the WRS rules:

No hybrids

What is a hybrid in this context?

Hybrids have existed since the PS1 games, it's when you manipulate your game save and swap parts between cars. Like a V8 in a Miata. :ill:

Ok. I see. Thanks for the answer 👍

Maybe I am an idiot, but I have to wonder where the sense of achievement comes from if one uses methods like that to win...:boggled::confused::ill:
