First splits from quite a frustrating combo. This car just doesn't like to turn into corners :ouch:

10.503
29.731

And of course, being truthful, my last sector is rubbish.

New splits

10.519 (.445)
29.644

So much time in the last sector, it's hard to be consistant.

After about 200 laps practise with the G25 and some great advice aswell here is my first go at the WRS with it

10.707
30.504

Surrprisengly,I am not last:odd::lol:

Changed my force feedback from 10 to 7 and cut a couple hundredths off my last time.

T1 - 0'10.618
T2 - 0'29.971

EDIT

T1 - 0'10.634
T2 - 0'29.876

Even though T2 was good, T3 was horrible. Over .300 my old T3. :yuck:

I had a look at the way Dan/Mark Webber takes the "S"s and I can't for the life of me, get the car to turn like you/he does, at that pace. Especially the final right hairpin. I'll just have to do it my way and be happy with being so much slower at line. :indiff:

New splits :) Given up on improving with my dfgt now seeing what I can do with a pad.
t1:10.967
t2:30.948
Strangley though both splits are slower my final time was half a second faster.

You are not supposed to see his lap...He should have done it OFFLINE...:ill:

I'm pretty sure it's one he did that is not part of this weeks WRS, the splits are different. I was just trying to learn how the faster drivers become what they are, I have chosen some of your ghosts to try and learn in the past. Sometimes they are well over a year old.
If this is against the spirit of WRS then I apoligize deeply, and vow never to do it again. :nervous:

I'm sure it's perfectly ok to follow other peoples laps, if it's not, then I too am guilty (as ar many others I know), I've been chasing MaY round all week!!

MAY did his lap 5/27/2009 and Dan did his lap on 4/8/2010 at 8:29 AM so it was probably an accident - I'm guessing it is NOT the lap he intends to submit. Not sure how the OLR Admin Team deals with cases like this - just lucky for the rest of us that we have quite a few good quality laps to review this week.

Well ofcourse its ok to follow other peoples laps, thats 100% fine...but seeing it whas done yesterday ...well.....

Anyway, had time for some more laps this morning...:

T1:0'10.388
T2:0'29.462

Old ploy:still not happy because i made a small error in the last corner...:)

Yeah I downlaoded his replay yesterday and got surprised by how fantasticly well he controls the GTR ,and trying to take his "different" approach to T3 I actually shaved off a whole 1.3 seconds but still way behind his final time.

updated splits.
t1: 10.746
t2: 30.629

I didn't chase his ghost, I just watched the replay once. There is quite a few things he does differently to my way.

I'm guessing Dan was just chasing P1 on the leaderboard after he did his WRS laps.

Man, you are on a roll this week buddy - great splits again! And now that everyone is on to you the old ploy won't work anymore

Regarding the available replays, along with running of laps online -

1. Mistakes will happen. We monitor for those who consistently abuse this, and appropriate actions will be taken if someone is doing it with any sort of consistency, especially if it's their submitted lap.

2. Absolutely OK to use ghosts, or watch others' replays. Honestly, I think this is another thing that separates some from others on tuning weeks. It's not just the tune. If people who are used to being able to watch a fast lap to see how it's done, or used to having a fast ghost tow them around the track, they will struggle when that's not there.

Personally, I normally only go view top replays as a last resort. I know I'm not the fastest driver here, I know these tracks (The are only 6 of them :dopey:), and as long as I can get my pace within the usual range without using ghosts or watching replays, that's what I do.

Hope that helps. :)

I'm guessing Dan was just chasing P1 on the leaderboard after he did his WRS laps.

Ever crazier would be if that was Dan's first lap of his first session and he didn't realize he was logged in:

I wasn't planning on participating this week, as I've taken down my G25 to make room for the extra family that are staying. :grumpy:

However, I was bored today, so I picked up my DS3...

T1: 10.733
T2: 30.109

:D

It's very different... but alotta fun!

T1: 10.583
T2: 29.975

I'm much the same. I haven't got the wheel out since before the Bank Holiday weekend, been busy etc...

I managed to get three laps in with the sixaxis, really poor showing by my own standard but funny all the same;

T1 10.790
T2 30.341

I'm pre-occupied with the golf now so hopefully I'll find a little time before the deadline to have a proper go.

D.

New splits

10.673
30.006

could improve on it more if I could put together a single good lap! It seems like I switch off every lap from good start to poor finish and poor start and solid finish... I'll submit with these splits, too much homework this weekend to put any more time into it!

First attempt.

T1: 10.925
T2: 30.656

Am I last? Someone has to be last...👍

I just realized today that I accidentally downloaded the top standard physics time, and was chasing that ghost. Maybe that made me try too hard and actually end up slower. :dunce:

Anyways, I put another 20 or so laps in on this and knocked over a second off my time.

New splits (I know it doesn't look much better, the 3rd section is where the magic happened):

T1: 10.900
T2: 30.504

Like a lot of others, I'm all over the place with each section, the splits really don't indicate much. I had a 30.201 in T2 once, but the total time was 0.4sec slower than this lap.
Now if only I could put them all together...
