Honest - I had no idea 'splits' are the same as 'sector-times'. Ok. I removed them and apologize for my mistake. :(

So if I am in a team, getting on the leaderboard is out of the question.
Well, I am lousy at this anyway, and that's not really anything to show-off.
Still, I wasn't aware.

Sorry, guys, too confused right now, to understand what rules apply.

I'll just run my laps and submit my best replay at the end of the week.

@Thematic and @doodlemonoply

what are you daying here?
are you saying that the 14 guys on the leaderboard including Doodle and me and whole bunch of guys who are also in teams are violating the WRS rules?

Can I or can I not post my splits in this thread?

Do we have to use 4 vehicles? Or then, we have to just to use the REQUIRED car?

I don't see what's the problem to people to submit sector times.
only the tommy kaira car

Yes you can.

Well i ran this for an hour after work last night and never even considered that the stock downforce was adjustable :dunce: should make things slightly easier... back to the drawing board tonight :dopey:

Nice Combo 👍

Ha ha, been running this for the last half hour and didn't even know that myself until I read your post here. :dunce:  Guess I should probably go adjust that now. Thanks for the "unintentional" heads up.

Just to confirm/clear things up. This is both a normal WRS event, so feel free to post splits, car settings and what-not. Submit your replay to Fetch as you normally would. Next week's combo will be the same way.

The last two weeks of the team trial challenge will be separate from the normal WRS. They will both occur at the same time. Team Captains will need the driver's replay and will PM me the replay with the appropriate info. You won't be able to provide splits in those last two events in the Team Trial thread, just to help give some mystery during the week so you can't guess who the winning team is as easily.

If anyone has any more questions about it, just shoot me a PM I'll be happy to clear things up 👍

Thank you 👍

As for the 'secrecy for the sake of tactics' - people will still not know the time of Sector 3 or full lap time.

You are quite right there....and most people can make a rough guess on someone's times by what division they are in so keeping sector times a secret is not really relevant.

As for me, sector times so far:

S1: 15.655
S2: 38.989

Is the area behind the white dotted line legal track? If so, also when it becoms full white line?

This is why I doubt:

Race Specifics:

.....

  • The concrete areas outside the red and white curbs are out of bounds.

and then

Standard Clean OLR Rules:
  • At Least 2 Tires must be in contact with track at all times.
    • In situations where contact with the track is not possible because tires are airborne (above the ground), then the run is only legal if at least two tires in-line would have made contact with the track if the car were not airborne
    • If track contact cannot be 100% determined, then consider it dirty
  • Rumble/ripple strips are part of the track
  • All Tarmac is acceptable, including tarmac behind/beyond rumble strips
  • No contact with walls or objects, visible or invisible
  • If you're not 100% sure that your lap is clean, then consider it dirty
  • No hybrids
  • No cheating of any kind, these are relaxed races and we are experienced racers, we know what times can be done, and we can read your mind.We will know
  • Nothing that goes against the spirit of the rules

I had one lap where I was arguably over that line, but my interpretation was that it was okay. The current lap is "tighter", so does not look like that.

I treat all areas of the track as if it's legal as long as I have two tires on the 'right' side of the 'rumble/white curb'.

Thank you, Jerome  👍

Due to another brutal week at work I decided to skip week 8 and maybe get three session in on week 9 instead of the typical two that have left me off the bottom of the leader boards. I hope with these couple of extra days I can have a time worth submiting. Anyone have a tune?

A lot of people will probably be hush hush on tunes this week since its the first week of the team trials, but i would expect a few of the usuals to post something for those not running the teams
