@RuddRacer Could be worse...you could be where I am Finally re-run this with, hopefully, settings that Fetchy likes...splits are slower than previous but I really don't like this car enough to keep trying to improve and, besides, I'm on a run of poor, positive handicap weeks so quite used to getting a poor result
How do you do that with a controller ?
@nursemorph For me the difficulty is all with the track (and my lack of experience), I can't fault one thing with the car.
Are you sure you installed the SS tires? Its not typical for there to be a big difference in our times.
I have had less time & energy to invest the past few months so that's what I thought was going to happen to me. It didn't though. There's even been a couple of nice results that I don't think would have been much better with 300% more distance. I think it's, in addition to the cars and tracks, a subconscious thing: if you do not so good one week, you may be better motivated the following week.I'll just keep plodding around watching my handicap fall until I'll need to request a demotion as I'll have a D3 handicap
It's enjoyable when on throttle (it's great across the top of the mountain) but the supertanker-esque stopping distance and off-throttle understeer is just something I can't get to grips with.....I can go a lot quicker but I always end up binning it in the sand as I didn't brake early enough! Running a 6/8 brake bias makes it a bit better (as opposed to the 2/8 I was running before) but I am just struggling to get a balance
@nursemorph are you using auto or manual transmission? I would think the manual has a clear advantage over the auto for this event.
Awsome job on the 630pp TT. 👍
I have buttons for throttle, brake, shifting and steering. So why should the DS3 be slower than the wheel?
One thing I noticed last night in the race was my bad habit of turning the car too hard with the stick without really needing to and understeering too much when less steering angle would turn the car just as much.
Of course I realise this is counter-productive but in this car, it seems more so.
I usually use the controller sensitivity at 3 but will try to experiment with a lower number - maybe 1 or 0.
What steering sensitivity setting do you use @Ed_Night ?
Thing is, when you run through the tabs in car settings, just to check the parts, the game will notice the old settings and reset them before ever showing the previous numbers but only if the part is not adjustable. This one has adjustable suspension but I didn't notice that at first.Anyone else submitted their lap yet?
Just submitted my replay and got rejected due to 'invalid rear toe setting'.
Car was unaltered, so not sure why I got this.
You sure ? I believe you have bionic hands Sir ...I have buttons for throttle, brake, shifting and steering. So why should the DS3 be slower than the wheel?
