I took the liberty to create this, I hope it will clear it up for you :P

Professionals drift blue AND red, amateurs drift red zone only. I hope I'm right about this, Sheron :dopey:

This is going good, I was the only entrant in GTPDC 3 and one of four in GTPDC 2, so this is looking good on entry numbers.

Still deciding on a car....and will hopefully buy a capture card in the next few weeks so i don't have to camera it again............

Well, All my exams are over!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, oh yeah.. booh yeah.. woot woot.

Anywho, this just might be an excusefor me to enter. Still not sure though.

Ugh, starting to get my lines down now.. but my brake pedal (probably the potmeter or wiring) is as good as busted :(

I guess I'll go get myself a DFP tomorrow, let's hope I can adjust to 900 mode before the comp ends :dopey:

heh, that's crappy

I'm hoping I can adjust to my DFP before the comp ends, also :sly:
Ya, thats right. Entering with my DFP so that I have an excuse when everyone beats me.

Hmm it appears to be poor contact in the wire from the wheel to the pedals.. easily remedied by making sure it's hanging free... but I think I'll get a DFP anyway :D

OT, and probably belonging in another forum altogether but: have any of you DF(P) users noticed the force feedback becoming sluggish and heavy after a few hours use? It's not the car that's changing, because once I restart the PS2 the next day it's fine.. just wondering if the DFP is like that also, or just my rusty old DF

👍

this is so great :D

@Ske
I havent noticed that on my DFP while racing with it. It's my arms that usually end up feeling heavy and sluggish.

yeah ive got 2 diff laps i could submit right now. each a diff car.
but i think im going to keep working on it.

When you want to turn in your entry, you can use your own host or any free hosting [...] and only give the head judge the link to the video [...]

When the video is uploaded please PM [Sheron] with the link of the video... and post in the thread that your video is uploaded.

Hmm, this sounds cool. Sign me up for amateur. Is they any certain view the replay should be in?

Just wondering, do the judges go easier on you if you drift with a racecar?

The same criteria is used to judge all entrants, so you won't get any bonus points (or points deducted) for doing so. However, the judging crew will (or should) take into account the limits/abilities of each car. Using any car at a level that is quite obviously less than what it is capable of will likely result in a low score.

Your video must not contain your name, or any way to identify who's video it is (to promote fairness in judging).... Instead, use the number that has been assigned to you (via PM), by the head judge.

The video must include the lateral G-meter, speedometer, wheel(if possible), T times, and lap time. Your video should be a one lap replay without editing.

so basically, just use the normal track cams and turn on the display.
In GT3 it used to be required that you also supply a bumper cam replay of your lap. Many people present that in a PIP format synced to the track cam - but Sheron's post doesnt say that it is necessary.

Yeah, it's better to include a bumper cam. But not all people know how to do it.

[EDIT]
I've updated the rules and put them in logical order, making'em little shorter.

Thats is how i judge videos, i mean... uh... nothing... lol.

BTW i tryed searching for it but how do you get the little screen on the top right or left side of the replay (bumper veiw) for the competition entrys (like tankspanker), using Adobe Premiere 6.5. I tryed most of the stuff crop view and i dont get how to do it.. Thanks in advace
