Sheron:

First off, I have never drifted with that car, so I'm unsure of it's handling characteristics. Now that I have said that, I think more angle could be had. However, the level of control exhibited was impressive. You handled every corner with finese, and showed amazing throttle and steering control. I enjoyed the vid very much......... It was kind of a hybrid of Exhibition and Race drifting.......

Thio:

Man, you are lovin' that wheel...... It makes me want the DFP even more......

Very smooth drifts, and good linking, but once again more angle could be had......... I can't wait to get the wheel, so I can perform drifts that smooth.......... I can't wait to see some more clips from you...... Very fluid drifting.... me likes.......

I gotta improve angle for next vids. Sometimes I get "scared":scared: when I'm going with big angle and I end spining. So I have to get rid of fears and keep practicing.

It was kind of a hybrid of Exhibition and Race drifting.......
;)

I like to drift corners with throttle, not so much steering work as other people.

Thanks for your comment. ;)

i just watched the pro. vids and breakerohio..man i think you had that with lazi in a close second...just my opinion :)...i love the throttle controlled turns, just looks so much cleaner.

Glad to hear :D I will have to work on getting more angle somehow, someway :irked:

I hope that I can pull something amazing in this week's GTPDC. You will see :mischievous:

Ok, I keep hearing people talking about throttle controlled turns...... What other way are you going to control a drift, then with the throttle, (and please don't say E-brake)? Furthermore, countersteer and throttle is necessary (FR) for a controlled, smooth drift, so I don't know what your all on about......

This, of course, does not apply to 4 wheel drift, or even AWD drifting, where countersteer is not necessary, except for coming out of a drift......

better?

Yes, much better.......

Sorry yall, I don't mean to be a drift Nazi, but I just want everyone to have a solid idea of what drifting is, how it's controlled, etc.... So, when I hear someone say something that doesn't make sense, I try and correct it, so they have a better understanding, and to help stop false information from spreading........

;)

:) What i mean by smoother drifts is keeping the front wheels counter steering throughout the whole turn rather than turning back into the turn, i made my self learn to make whole turns with my wheels pointing oppisite of the turn and never turning back into the apex...thats what i ment by throttle controlled turns...i dont mean to sound like ass, just sorry if i made no sense...im sure you've seen bryan C, cudaman, or even watch my vid for examples of what i mean, then watch bustwave's gtp week 6 video, and notice the front wheels turning back,i just think its ugly looking...my opinion.

How in the name of all that is holy, could we have possibly known that you meant something completely different then what you said:

throttle controlled turns, just looks so much cleaner.

Doesn't sound like it has anything to do with countersteering...

Yes, I agree, smooth countersteered drifts look the best (see any of my vids for examples of this)....

;)

haha..damn, all i wanted to say is that breakerohio did a great job and i think he should of got 1st cause he was smooth and showed off good full countersteering drifts rather than turning back into the turn...it says in the rules they take off points for that but only one judge seemed to care.

Congratulations Bustwave for winning 2 times(is it??)consecutively.... :P
I liked all the entries this time, seems like ppl are doing a lot of choku doris recently :)
BreakerOhio, good control of your drifts, at times I almost think you'll hit the wall, but you didn't, and Sheron's drifts are nice too :P
overall, I liked bustwave's video and his drifts the most, plus his video has the greatest quality, and the music is &*%$# nice!!!
mind to tell me the title of that song??
p/s: I liked all the music that you used in you other videos, seems like we share the same taste :)

Thanks to those for the vote in my entry. After watching the videos, its hard not to be bias over my own drifts but I am happy to hear that other viewers notice my style and control. I know the battle was close between me and bustawave and he did a good job but I guess I didn't cut it for two of the judges.

I feel exactly the same way about opposite locking the drifts and not turning back in, otherwise I see that if you have to straighten the wheel and turn back in then you had a bad enterance and required that to control and maintain your drift.

In my entry I purposely tried to drift close to the walls and manji and whole course and put in lots of opposite locks. I kinda judge it like I would in NFSU drift event, because you get more points for having big angles close to the walls, and thats why I was happy with this entry.

:)

^ so on the u-turn.. were u trying to get that close on purpose? because it doesnt look good imo.. if your going to drift on the outer wall, you should do the whole turn on the outside.. also.. again.. if your going to manji, continue it into the next turn.

Yes, I purposely try to get my rear end as close to the edges/grasses/dirt as possible without making contact and messing up. I personally think it looks better because its more daring.

Think of a slam dunk contest, if someone just jumps and dunks the ball, is it as impressive as someone that does a alloy oop 360 to dunk the ball? My feelings are the same here with drifting as it is in dunk contests. Sure if you miss, then you don't get your points, but if you can do it daring and score, then that to me is more impressive and I've read that this is how judges in real life score drift events. They judge on how close you can get your rear to the wall and how well you opposite lock with the angle you produce.
