And man oh man is it a good thumb through! Absolute information from cover to sexy cover. To it's credit, I've gotta say GTPedia looks fantastic among this crowd!

Cheers Jordan and Famine (I will never know you as Andrew!) for a great coffee table flick through 👍

Ps. Kinda annoyed I didn't ask for you guys to sign it now... Ah well, I now know for next time :)

As you're in the U.S., it would probably be best for you to wait until Famine takes delivery of the "UK Edition" that we're having printed within the next week or so.

That way, he can sign it, then send it to me, then I can send it to you via domestic mail, saving you from having to pay for two rounds of international shipping to and back again from the UK.

Just keep an eye out for the formal announcement of the UK edition, then place your order and send the confirmation number over to Famine so he can make a note of it. 👍

Thanks Jordan 👍. I appreciate it!

Reading again the GTPedia sample chapter regarding GT1...

Of course, Gran Turismo also featured genuine race cars, alongside some drawn from imagination. The Special models available at dealerships included 1995 Le Mans entries from Nissan, Toyota and Honda, along with fictional racers from Mitsubishi and Mazda.

Wrong. The Toyota special model was a JGTC racer, not Le Mans. ;) And why Tourist Trophy isn't covered in the book? :indiff:

It actually just looked like the JGTC Supra - it has the specs of the 1995/6 Le Mans entry SARD Supra.

But then the Impreza just looked like the WRC Impreza. Heaven alone only knows what specs it was supposed to actually have.

I'll just put this here since it seems to be the best place.

Would there be any issues with updates if the book is sent to someone else? I'm planning on offering the book as a prize and was just going to have it shipped to the person through the website.

That's no problem, anyone with a copy of the book will be able to download the updates, regardless if you've received it as a gift or where you purchased it.

For verification, you'll simply be asked to find a word on a page in the book. Enter it in a form and you'll be prompted to download the updated PDF. It'll be like a mini-scavenger hunt. :) No order numbers, email addresses, or passwords to remember or pass along.

As Famine noted in another thread, the first update is complete and is on its last round of polishing. It will be released very soon now.

Does that mean if I just buy the hard copy of the book will I be able to download electronic updates for free or do you only get that if you buy the e book?

No, everyone will be able to download the updates, regardless of which edition of the book you have.

Thanks, just wanted to know before hand so there wouldn't be any issues.👍

Yes, there are many ways to merge two PDF files. Here's a simple guide that explains how to do it on various platforms.

So what exactly do the updates do? I mean obviously it adds stuff right, but what else?

And also, what about GT6? Are you guys going to add all of that to current GTPedia? Or is their going to be GTPedia : Chapter 2 ? :P
(Obviously the first one would make more sense)

Some errors have been pointed out - largely based on typos and copy'n'paste issues. This update corrects all the ones of which we are aware. We've also added in the most recent car data from GT5 updates.

GT6 (or any other game - a prologue, a concept or an epilogue) would require significant alteration to the book, probably inflating it by 20% in size for a full release, so there'd need to be a 2nd Edition. It'll also mean I'll have the least amount of fun playing a GT game than I've ever had before

Here it is with signature and some stick figures
I got just what I ordered, thank you :)

Censored bit my name with my awesome paint skils....

Congrats 👍!
By the way, is the signature (AJ) standing for Andrew and Jordan?

It is just my signature, yes - albeit not the one on my chequebooks or credit cards  It's to do with my middle name and my preferred appelation.

I'm glad you like the stick figures. My daughter thought my choice was hilarious :D

My bad hehe, I thought it said AJ. (Did it? I can't tell. I can't read cursive to save my life.)
