To Jordan & Famine: Ton of respect to the both of you for undertaking such a massive project and making it available to everyone. I appreciate the effort and will be purchasing the book when I can. My thanks to you both for your hard work and dedication. Respect.

Max, feel free to put your review wherever you feel comfortable, as a new thread or as a reply here.

Pan, you can download a sample chapter of the book on its main webpage.

I think there is a very small chance of a book like this for Forza, unfortunately.

I do own FM1-3, but if I spend 2 years playing them to get the data they'd release another two games in that time

However, if Turn10 are reading and want to commission us...

I nominate T12 for Forzapaedia creation :P

I've already got a nice, prominent spot picked out for the book on the shelf. With it already counting Video Game Art, some Walking Dead collections, the entire Scott Pilgrim series, and a few stacks of Evo amongst its ranks, as well as being decorated on top by assorted Doctor Who bits, an LBP Sack-family, a Portal turret, some ninja turtles, a few Yoshis, and no less than three diecast cars, as well as a GT-related trophy and giant novelty cheque, I hereby label it the nerdiest coolest bookshelf in the GTA (once GTPedia is on the shelves, of course) :D

Looking forward to the review, Max 👍

Ahem.

The sample chapter (dedicated to GT1) looks promising :), but I don't have the money to buy this book... :(

Thing is, in page 16 (on the GT1 section of the sample chapter), it says:

GTPedia
Lightweight vehicles only (FWD cars with 1,998cc displacement or less and 1,170kg weight or less; RWD cars with 1,845cc displacement or less and 990kg weight or less; no race models)

The underlined part is defenitely wrong - I once entered and won Lightweight cup with an [R] Integra Type-R. 💡

Race modified and race model are two different things in GT1. But there's a good argument there for clarification.

Dennisch: Nice. Niiiiiiiiice :D

This is a really nitpicky thing that I noticed in the sample chapter that on the data for the All-Night Endurance race, it says that the Accord SiR has 936 HP. I assume KG was the intended label.

Has anyone actually gotten their copy yet? (Other than Dennisch)

I just confirmed that I am getting mine in March :sly:👍

Thanks! I'll add that to the first update.

Quite a few have been delivered to their new owners. You can see Dennisch's copy here. :)

^Sweet :D

How will the updates benefit you when you have the physical copy though?
Owners of all editions will simply download the updates or changes as an addendum in PDF form.

Will the physical copy be updated so people that order it, say summer next year, will recive a updated copy or will they just get the original copy with updates through PDF?

They'll get the updates via PDF as well. Any changes would only be implemented in a second edition of the book.

My copy may well be one of the most well-thumbed so far. Nobody I've met has been allowed to get away without looking through it.

Just a minor error for future reference - the AC 427SC '66 is listed as an Acura in the GT5 Cars list section on Pg 332.

👍

Yes, that one's my error. It's persisted in all drafts back to February 2011. D'oh. We're keeping a track of everything (I think there's been nine errors posted to date, which isn't bad for about a half million data points) and Jordan will shove out a PDF update when he can.

In other news, a signed copy just arrived here. Now I have to sign it and send it to Germany :D

So i havent ordered my copy yet as i havent got the money..this might be a stupid question so forgive me, but is the book a limited time only thing or can i get one whenever i want?

I hope you'll be able to get one whenever you want. :) I plan to keep selling them as long as it's financially viable to do so.

Well, I just purchased the Combo Pack, and have downloaded the PDF.

I'll have a sneak peek in it before the physical copy arrives. :)

I received the Combo pack for Christmas. Book looks great and is very interesting to thumb through. Great job Andrew and Jordan.👍
