Not really, that's pretty much the best offer! Now there's certain routes to take to help you minimize costs to get to the classes you want wich I would imagine is the Proto/GT series right?

Yeah, but dont I need to attain a certain license before I can race those cars though?

Enduracers mod is taking forever to DL. Once it does will be switching PC over to the TV. Lol my playseat I built is to big to maneuver down the hall to the office. Plus 50" is better then 22, haha.

pick the download that includes the mod and all of the service packs
"rF1 FULL version (v1, SP1 and SP2 included)"


the installer that comes with it will send everything to the correct folders for you!

Hey Tiss, Stupidstormy. Where you able to run rFactor?

Also in the enduracers read me file there are some recommend settings for wheels in the rfactor game

scroll down to about the middle of the page and it will give you the wheel settings. Its a huge improvement, the difference between feeling dumb and quite nice with the cars. Think the GT's are hardest to drive(without aids). P2 and LMPC arre easiest.

Ill have the room running Spa-Francorchamps so youll need to get the mod for that track. Ill have it uploaded to mediafire soon. Or you can simply go to CMSRacingleague(google it). Lemans thread and click master trac list and get from there

Like I said earlier, I need to get some equipment before I can try it out. I don't know how long it'll take, so I hope Tiss can get his to work. Shouldn't be a problem though.
 
I quickly opened it up, checked it out.. layout is odd, haha.. I 'created' a game but hit a bunch of keys and nothing happened (only have keyboard right now, no wheel) so just quit out..

lol. rFactor is not known for its user interface. You need to have your wheel plugged in before you start up the game otherwise it will not work. If you ty pluggin it in after the game is started (much like i do in GT5) it wont be detected.

Track is almost down uploading for you guys to get.

lol yea, just want to see what it looked like on track, but couldn't drive the car out of the garage with the keyboard so just quit... My wheel is bolted to my stand.. so haven't tried it yet.

Almost done with the DL.. goes from 100kb/s to 500 for a minute then back to 100 for like 2-3 minutes... soo annoying!

Lol. Yeah 50 is much nicer!
Yes you'll need to get to B license before you can race in the official series. Some people do it in a very clever way and minimize their purchases. I did it the harcore way and bought and raced it all along the way! You are actually in a very good position right now, with the Daytona 2.4 in a few weeks you'll be able to blast trough a few licenses and get to B in no time!

Ok I just opened it. Edit: fixed I accidentally had my game set to spectate

Check again . Its called " GTP endurance
Use the tabs at the top to sort the room list by series. Look for enduracers then my room should be one of them. U might need to refresh also

Closing room for 5 minutes, so I can figure out something but will be back online to host again in 5 minutes.

Let me know if you cannot join. I know at least that my room should be listed in the matchmaker list. Sort the list with the tab at the top. I'm one I'd the only rooms using the enduracers mod so join join!

Darn, I can't even look myself because I am either in the room or I'm not an it doesn't exist lol. I'll try swing if I can do a dedicated server so I don't have to be in the room

Edit: I left the room to figure out if im doing anything wrong. Wish i had two computers lol

Damn. Just ran into a new problem. I need thermal compound for my CPU. And that stuff isn't easy to get either. *sigh*

I want to try this out so bad!!!

EDIT: Nevermind about the thermal compound being hard to get. Google is your friend. Just got to treat her right! :lol:

for some reason the throttle sucks... Last 5% is the only part that does anything
 
Cant troubleshoot and be in the room at the same time. Im sure we'll figure this out at some point...

There's a setting you change for that.
On the "main menu" go to Customize>Settings>Controls>Rates.
Set digital throttle, brake, and clutch rate to 100%.
 
Making a room is a little more involved than just hitting "create". Me nor gators have been able to conquer.

Make sure you adjust the aids(turn everything off) except for maybe traction control, abs, and autoclutch. Also do googling to find out what's setting work best for your wheel. Because its PC based your experience can be completely altered by how you setup the parameters. Mess with the settings yourself or just use google search.
It feels very different to GT5. It definetly does a better job of portraying understeer than gt5 ever could...
case and point. Schumacher S. Real world flinging a car into that corner would caouse you to oversteer into oblivion. in GT5 understeer into the gravel taps...

Ill be on the lookout for your room.

Wish we could get Posiloan in here. He knows more about this stuff than I ever could
