Making a room is a little more involved than just hitting "create". Me nor gators have been able to conquer.

Make sure you adjust the aids(turn everything off) except for maybe traction control, abs, and autoclutch. Also do googling to find out what's setting work best for your wheel. Because its PC based your experience can be completely altered by how you setup the parameters. Mess with the settings yourself or just use google search.
Yeah, I gave up that idea a while ago! We ended up highjacking a Malasian server!

Tell me which server to join... I suck bad... Cutch not needed in this game?

In Enduracers (as I've recently learned) the GT cars do not have auto-blip.
So I highly recommend that if you're using the GT cars in Enduracers, you learn to heel&toe. :D
So yes, clutch is needed.
Unless you're using the prototypes.

Hehehe and here I was wondering why the f430 kept wiping out on the downshifts hahaha.

Do you think there are GTP serves in the rfactor thread?

lol. You'll have to download the track for each room by quitting the game, finding the site of the leauge and getting the track from there. Unfortunately it can be a pain if you want to just hop in and get on track really quick lol. Once we figure out this server thing....

I've never had that problem, at the most the car would wonder a bit near brake lock up but nothing as drastic as spinning out...
No GTP servers Blaze, I tried a few mo ths back and ran into the same problems you did. I'll talk to the CMS guys tomorrow, maybe they can help me get a fun server going for GTP!

I wonder if that "rFactor dedicated.exe" in the root folder is for anything?

i read somewhere that you click this to set up a dedicated server, however it means you cannot race. unless you have two computers that is. Once for th dedicated server(says you can use a crappy computer). anyone have a crappy omputer lying around that we could run a GTP server on?

ill give on last shot!. Look for a room that obnoxiously titled ***GTPLANET**GTPLANET**GTPLANET

Sorry about triple

Look for gtplanet*****gtplanet room

Guys why don't you register at the CMS forums? That way we could all use their servers, I'm regiztered for their Thursday evening league wich kicks off if February, it'll be cool to run a GTP team!

Stormy, you got any clue on how to setup a server for rFactor1?

I don't know much about rFactor. If I had the chance to be able to set up everything I need, I probably could figure it out. After all, one of my strong points is that I'm a good troubleshooter, not to mention I have been trained in the IT field (mainly networking)! In the meantime, I'll do some research. Sorry man.

It should be as easy as setting up any other online multiplayer match in any other game, unless rFactor doesn't have any official servers, then you have set up your own server with the software. Usually with servers, you need a beast machine to handle all the payload. If your PC acts as the server, then usually you can't play the same game on the same PC. Then you'd have to tinker with your firewall, router, and server settings. I could do all that if I had the software. And a power supply cable and thermal grease.

Overall I'm not to thrilled with rFactor. There is no car feel imo, and feels very arcadey. Also the clutch is useless from a stop. Its either just floor it and dump it or stall.

Could be in game wheel settings? Also what view do you use? I find that third person chase cam is absolutely dreadful in rfactor. On flat tracks I use cockpit view. On tracks with elevation change I use the sort of tv camera/go pro view point. But don't use chase cam, it's laughable

Anyways try clutch rate at 20%.

As for the force feedback
There are apparently two really nice mods out there . I think one is called "Leo" and the other one called real feel. I haven't tried either. But I think I will. Correct if I'm wrong on the names lol. Leo?

Just got an F2007 for free! And Jav, where are the pictures for my skin? Did you get around to it?

Lil upset we/I got alienated last night by this rFactor garbage.

It's our scheduled night. The time I have dedicated to GT5 and GTPFIA. So basically sat around waiting for something to organize only to be silted with a small group going PC racing. Really considerate people.

With that. If we don't race as a group next weekend. It's my last day in this series.

Thanks and sorry. But I don't appreciate the alienating of racers on their committed race night. I personally was left high and dry.
