I always thought that rfactor had the better physics in comparison to iracing.

They're so boring to drive! Wish the races were half the distance they are now. They're usually a waste of time because some lapped douche decides to race you and runs into you, or spins into your path.

They have, there's always free practice going on plus they have the hosted section. Yes it's all a more serious sim at the end of the day but it's such a complete service. We got 3 new cars coming this year plus new tracks and an impecably mantained service.

At least get it up to 3.00, promotions are next week and that will get you out of rookie. In order to get out fast DO NOT RACE ANYONE!!! Don't get any incidents and you'll be out of rookie after 4-5 races guaranteed! The only way your license goes up is on official events, races or TTs.

Tire wear still the same and no fix for the bug...
 
Limit number of entries and assign some to DIV 2? Turn damage off and steward incidents afterwards? Turn off tire wear and Mandate pit windows?

Seth is on the right track, but we can't add more drivers to D2 without creating more trouble.
My idea would be to split D1 and limit the room size to 8 drivers, the drivers who still have a shot at the championship would be on the top split and competing for the prize and the bottom split would just be racing for fun.

I think 10 racers can be in at once with those settings. DS3 might be a better option than a wheel it seems. There are maybe 8 people in div 2, mostly its 6, so 3 people joining there could be the lowest points scorers?
 
Arg, I wanna look at the thread on the homepage to see if they do another test. Who knows if 2.03 actually fixe dthe glitch by simply replacing the game files that where causing the issue.

Its like installing a mod over another mod and having the bugs in the first mod dissapear :)

Everything. The way its setup is garbage. Content is lacking unless you pay a lot, but even then you cant race anything because you need a certain saftey rating tp advance which isn't attainable because people cant drive at all in the game. Running into the back of you, hip checking you trying to pass etc.. Its retarded. So you never get the saftey rating needed to advance to use better cars. The races are too long and not enough of them to quickly do anything. Its a constant waiting game for a race or whatever just to have it ruined by some retard.

The last race I ran started P2, 3rd corner the guy behind comes in too hot and hits the back of me.. causing me to spin.. luckily didn't get any damage. Then 14 laps later some other retard who is quicker then me gets his nose inside on me going into a corner, so I take the outside line, but he decides the whole track is his and pit-maneuvers me. So 35-40 minutes later I get back to 3rd position after being spun twice and get like .05 safety rating from other peoples mistakes.

Also the cars suck. I think they use steel for tires. You cant touch the brakes in a corner (even the slightest) or the back end of the car comes out on you, and recovering from a minor slide is nearly impossible. You cant edit the setups to even attempt to dial in more stability in the car, because they're fixed.

I guess its a "simulator" and not a game in any aspec so isn't meant to be fun? I dunno.

Its great on paper and how they portray it, but honestly you'll find better racing and better controlled people in regular gt5 lobbies. And fun factor will be greater in just about anything else.. even visiting the dentist.

lolol. I wouldnt bother much with online play if its like that lol. Half the time I just setup lonely test sessions in rFactor and do hotlaps with the LMP2 cars at my favorite tracks.
You have to really want to drive to still be playing rFactor lol. That ensures theres no pea-brains.

But in terms of ease of play, User interface, simplicity to just sitdown and have a quick race with hardly any practice at the track race its GT5 all day every day...

Most of the run ins I've had haven't been first turns/laps besides the last one. Most have been 10 laps in or so coming up on lapped traffic or catching someone/them catching me. They dont have any regard for who's around them or proper racing lines while attacking for position or blue flags. And more then a few times I've had retards try to block me several times as I'm coming up to them on a straight.

I will keep trying, but the race schedule is a bit of a pita, and makes it 1000000% more annoying when someone else ruins your race and your SR. Waiting another hour to attempt to race again and hope no one ruins it again is super annoying.

Driving a slow car isn't great either, I hope the other cars will be more exciting, the long time between corners allows the mind to wander, then miss a turn in/ braking point means you lose several seconds because you cant brake and turn at the same time with the POS MX5 or you spin and lose 10+ seconds plus more SR. I'm really hesitant to dumping another $30 into it for content when It'll continue to be more annoying then fun.
 
No one wants to run some laps? I opened a room and I'm the only one there. lol
I am only getting 3 laps on soft tires. Spun in the last 2 corners befor the pits trying to baby it on lap 3.:scared:
