Do you guys mind if we use the driving line?
I haven't had a chance to practice, and TBH, I really suck without it.
It's not that I actually use it, but I get lost without it. :)
You know, I'll stop paying attention and forget to brake, not know which way the next turn goes, etc. etc.

MitchZ06
Its not the car thats the problem, its being on a DS3 that is.

I don't really care if you use TCS, I think we should let him.
At a certain point, TCS and other Aids are only to the driver's disadvantage, it will slow him down.

Having raced with Mitch before, I know for a fact that he is a very good driver and definitely knows what he's doing, if he races that well with TCS, I think that he should be allowed to use TCS.

Yeah unless your going for realism allow aids (not skid recovery) because in the end all they do is slow people down but they help unskilled people keep up to a point.

Agree on above users. Allow TCS for the league but not to a high number like 5-10 or something like that.

By the way @Jav, the pre-season race will last for 2 hours after the qualification session, right?

The race itself is gonna be 30 laps(set at 32 for pace laps), so it should be arround the 1hr mark, however with the quali and time for practice the whole session should run arround 2hrs.

Ok, I'll allow the TCS and DL for the time being, lets see how it goes on tonight's test.

Awesome.

Yeah, do that and see what happens. Should be an interesting race tonight, the formation lap being the most interesting :P

Speaking of the formation lap... maybe I'm just reading it wrong and missing something, but are the GT1 cars just to sit there while the GT2 cars make their lap?

I would like a shot at this

GTP: Silver-Sylph
Psn: Suprfluous
Class: GT1
Car:Nissan GTR LM Concept
Country/time zone: USA/ EST

Yes sir, we are gonna be the grid getting into our respective spots while the GT2 cars go arround.
When they come arround then the official pace lap start.
By the end of the race GT1 will have lapped the GT2 leaders 1-2 times, that way the GT2 cars will be able to finish before the finish delay reaches 0.
Remember guys, this is a test session and it's main pourpose is to test everything out. We have 2 sessions to get used to the procedures, by the season opener everything should be running smooth.

It is a pleasure to have you in the series sir! Feel free to join today's test session!

What will be the indicator to "Go"? Just when the GT2 cars come back around? Sorry, just trying to get all my ducks in a row.

It's gonna be a rolling start, when the GT1 leaders reach the front straight the pole sitter will be free to accelerate as soon as he reaches the green pit wall at drivers right. The leader must cross the start/finish line ahead of the pack. If anyone jumps the start penalties will be given.

@Yoman, is going to be a public room, I'll post the room number as soon as the room goes live.

I would have no proble using my private lounge, the advantage of a public room is that connectivity is better and there is less lag issues on a piblic room.

Then I would need to add you :P

You might have to kick in a public room, too.

Yeah that's the drawback of a public room... But no biggie.
Shoot me a friend request!

Well if you have 16 people in nobody else can join so your fine. Plus if you clearly label the room like GTP GT League random people shouldn't join. There's always the kick button too. Once your in the race people can join but not enter race too. If it's a lobby race people can start race by accident and mess us up as well

Also, is anybody going to open a room before qualifying just to do some hot laps, and get used to the car? I'm ready to go! lol

Ok, i think i'm gonna use the Zonda LM :nervous:

#69

edit: in my opinion you should not allow the TCS

Brave choice there! Fast car but it takes a special touch to tame it!
Initially I wanted TCS off, but I want to give the DS3 users a fair chance. We'll see how the test goes.

69 ftw.

1 Hour till race!

2 hours til race.

I'm a DS3 user and I say no TCS :)
