Yeah you were dusting me on the straights lol. I didn't mind too much though. I was having too much fun!

Also I don't know but he went a long time on those tires. I desperately needed them when you went in but stayed out another lap for no reason haha.

Also it was great that small section were it was me and you and two GT1 cars together. It was like watching the race on TV!

That was INSANE!
I think I was able to pull away from you when we got caught up with some of the traffic.
Just another element to deal with!
Not often that I run an error free race as Jav knows.

Maybe GT1 should wait til we get a little closer to start? Then GT2 can just maintain a little distance behind like how SuperGT does it. Then when GT1 pole sitter hits the start/finish line and GT1 goes then when GT2 pole sitter hits start/finish line GT2 goes correct?

Well done Jav, turned out to be a amazing race. Very clean competitive racing & a lot of overtaking. The mix between GT1 & GT2 made it very exciting.

I ending up pitting 3 times. Nearly worked out for me. Just 6 seconds behind shruging atlas until I push to hard on the last lap

It really was an awsome race! I made 2 mistakes and it was enough to put me out of the podium at the end of the race! Some awsome racing guys!

Ohh it was the same for me, but it was the strategy I chose so I had to stick with it, adapt and make it work!

Preliminary Pre-Season Race #1 Results

This race was a lot of fun. I'm on waiting list so I was lucky to even get in the race. Had no practice and setup was only approximate. Was being careful at the start, these cars have more power than I'm used to. Unfortunately I got rear-ended on lap 2 (1st race-lap) by the Zonda, thought I had no chance so I just kinda cruised trying not to spin. I only had partial success at that lol but then I settled in as I got used to driving with that rear wheel damage.

As I moved up the rankings I had some great racing with t_ray and Magzire. Also had some REALLY close calls avoiding cars that spun right in front of me and passing traffic. Most of the GT2 cars were very courteous as were most of the lapped GT1 cars with one exception.

I was actually planning 2 pit stops but I found the car quite manageable on worn tires so I took the risk and did a single stop which seems to have won me the race.

Like I've been saying all along, keep checking the thread as it is most likely that the resserve drivers will be on the race and actually become regulars!

I pitted on lap 12. within the 18th lap i breezed to 1st place with 18 secs ahead. then pitted again on the 24th cause i knew my times were dropping and took a gamble. i think i made a good strategy, the fact i was able to keep fast laps constant overlooked the amount of pit time.

Well that was certainly an interesting one. I was totally confused with the quali. Then I didn't realize the damage was full, so when I got nailed by the Zonda near the beginning I was totaled. Tried to wing it for 2 laps, then pitted to fix the damage. After that I just lost composure and spun 3 times in the same place. Finally when I regained some composure, I was trying to run with the M3 but couldn't keep up even pushing to the edge and beyond. wound up going off track a 4th time. From there I just coasted to finish the race. Gotta do some more testing with this GTR...

I had no clue prior to me entering what I was getting myself into but, I wanted to say thanks for allowing me to participate. It was a great race. Unfortunately, I was terrible. Got banged around on the first lap by Z06 in the back and had to pit on lap 2. From there I was to aggressive. Had to pit 4 or 5 times. Ill hop on the waiting list. Ill check the thread to hop in some practice sessions during the week. Thanks

I honestly got no idea on his car, he just came in the room and since he was a GTP member I let him race. Car didn't go trough the validation process so he raced as a Guest and he's participation was unofficial. so you are right by not adding his fast lap.
