Near the end of the race, a GT2 car spun right in front of the battling GT1 Vipers :scared: :
that was me, that car was a ticking time bomb haha. Sorry for the scare the second viper had real quick reactions tho I thought he was gonna get me.

I'm actually pretty sure that I had a 1:59.5.
I'm not sure how, but I do remember seeing that.

sorry but i cannot partecipate, the problem is the race day (timing problem, here in italy when you start the race is 1 past midnight and i'm sleeping..)

Does that mean I'm in. :):):):)

I'm just going to have to work on my cars tune some more apparently. I was a second off of you guys, and not to sound arrogant, but I know I can keep up with you all! lol, even if i did catch some grass and spin the car on just the warm up! how imbarrassing!

Just wanna mention something about yesterdays qualifying. If your on your out lap let the person in there flying lap past with ease. When on your flying lap ensure you have plenty of room ahead. Seen two guys in the GT2's on there flying laps like it was the last lap of a race. Looked like they where actually racing.

GR8 GR8 fun indeed.

Missed the quali, so I started last in the GT2 class. Had the bright idea to start on racing meds to maybe do only 1 pit stop. Not a good idea, ended up doing 14 laps a couple of seconds slower than the top 2 of my class. I ended up finishing 2nd not 1 sec behind 1st and with Gogatrs not far behind me.

About the GT1-GT2 overtakes:

I was being very gentlemanly last nite while letting the GT1 cars get by me. I felt I sometimes had to go ''out of my way'' to let the faster cars past. My understanding is that the GT1 cars should try and find their way past on their own without having the GT2 car go ''off line'' to let them through. Just wanna make sure that's clear for everyone because I ain't gonna lose ground on a GT2 guy to let a GT1 past me. Most of you can get us under acceleration coming out of turns (not by outbraking us and leaving us on the dirty line).

About the grid formation:

After both qualis are over, can we get the guys to get in the pits in order before we start the race (GT2 class 1st and GT1 2nd). That way there's no confusion on who's supposed to be where and whatnot... I'm not even sure that works but if it does, it would simplify the start of the races tremendously.

And during the pace laps, try and keep your distances (3-4 car lenghts) and a semi-constant speed (60-70mph).:sly:

This series is VERY promising 👍

We got another week to figure out the little kinks before the last practice race at Laguna (which should b a BLAST!).

To Sephy and Gogatrs (the two guys I fought for 1st place): This should be a VERY interesting series guys if we manage to be this close to each other every race. Too bad I started the race on meds :dunce:, we would've battled even more I think.

Again Jav, GR8 work setting up this series. Very much appreciated mate. :)

Nice pictures with commentary Jav!

I noticed you didn't take one when you spun in front of me and I had to come to a complete stop :) lol!

Yeah man I can't believe after so many laps how close we all finished to each other! If there had been another lap I believe that race would have been yours.

Hey guys, I apologize if I wasn't in compliance with the rules. Like I said, I was online looking for some good racing and knew that your room would be more then suffice. I listened to Jav pre race and I recall him saying 555hp and 1150kg. So that's what I did. I believe the car was supposed to weigh 1165kg. That was my first race out of a Intergra type R RM or a spec miata in two weeks. haha I didnt know how to handle all that power. But, that was a solid lap. haha Thanks again

Wow, that's a pretty close field! Looks like I'm definitely going to have to put in time with my M3 Coupe to prep for next weekend!

I don't know, I'd say in a race that's not very close at all lol. But it could be a lot worse. Jav and co. did a great job testing all these cars out to keep them competitive.

I'm sorry to read that man, I wish I could do something about it but it's just the best schedule for the group. Hope to see you arround for season 2.

That moves Jepoks into the regular list with you next in line.
I expect you to be in the regular list before the season starts, in fact I expect at least 3 more of the resserve drivers to move up to the regular drivers list!

You got it sir! That's exactly what you are supossed to do, safe for you and the car passing you as it ensures no sudden and erratic changes in racing line.

I think the system is going to work, it's always a nice thing to cross the finish line on a race, specialy when they are this long.
Mostly th issues were people that didn't read/fully understand the race procedures. This week should be all good!

You are welcome sir! It is all you guys!
Thank you for showing up!

Just wanted to add a point on that though, that Though a lot of the GT2 guys were pretty easy to get by, there were a couple of times I felt like I was being blocked, including one incident where I was run off the track, by one of the McLarens I believe, I'm really don't think it was intentional, but I wasn't very appreciative at the moment.. There's a difference between them holding their line and letting us find a way by, and them racing us and denying us the pass.

Sorry if that happened to you but I never blocked a GT1 car. I stayed on my racing line through corners and know once or twice it slowed a GT1 car behind me but I never moved to block one of you.

There's always gonna be an issue of lapped traffic in mixed class racing. and this is as much true on GT5 as it is on real life door to door racing. On like real life we don't have the benefit of the blue flag so as the slower classed cars we need to pay attention to our mirrors and as the faster classed cars we need to hone our patience, acess the situation and be patient. GT2 just like GT1 is on a real race for position we need to respect and accept that fact.
There was a post earlier that said "it was just like watching the TV", it reffered to a point on the closing stages of the race where DEATHBYROTOR an Jav came up to 2 GT@ cars fighting for possition, we too were fighting for possition, the situation was managed beautifully! The 2 GT@ cars stayed truth to their line and the GT1 cars had to wait for the oportunity to pass, I had to drop behind one of the GT2 cars for a corner and just accelerate away on the straight, I lost a little bit of ground on DEATH but he 2 lost a bit of ground to me. That type of racing is what I want to see in this series!
And I have to say I am very happy with what I saw yersterday!
Thank you guys! You did an exellent job! Keep it up!

Yeah, sorry for leaving... It was getting late over here, and I had to go to school...

Did the race go well? Any changes?

That's ok man, sorry you had to leave!
Everything went beautifull!
Please let us know if you are ganna be able to participate with the schedule?

Who was it that was ramming everyone on the first try?
Are we going to get rid of him, wait for him to 'fess up, or are we going to put him on trial?
I really don't want to have to race with someone who does that.
And if it was because of connection problems, I still don't think they should be allowed to race unless they can prove that they can fix the issue.

Not to be a jerk, but if someone doing that is taking away the slot for one of the reserve drivers, then...

Just verified it! That was your fastest lap, maybe you did the 59.xxx on quali.

In a race, yeah that's not going to be close at all you're right, but I thought I was just looking at qualifying laps. Either way, the practice laps I've been able to get in have been several slower than that, but I also hadn't had the time to optimize my tune to the track, either, like adjusting the transmission for optimized acceleration and finding the right camber settings.

The track isn't as hot either when it's only you driving.
Then again, you don't want it too hot.

We should've saved the replay of that race to figure it out...

I didn't catch that watching they replay, give me a lap number so I can keep an eye out for it when I get home tonight.

It was on our first try for the race start.
Where everyone was complaining because they had been shafted and were totaled before the race had even begun.

Gotcha! That was just probalbly someone who didn't know the procedures and just went when the countdown reached zero.

Well, I was getting rammed even after the pace lap as well as other people.

You guys might want to take a look at the Italia, the Aston and the Gallardo. Nobody has picked those cars and they are pretty fast and consistent, good on tire wear too!
;-)
Also there's an announcement coming later tonight on car elegibility, so you might want to hold for that.

Did it happen at all on the actual race?
We may have to put that down to the nerves getting the better of the person.
