GTA Convoy (PS4)


Sunday 4th June- start gathering members at 17-18:00GMT​

I realise it is short notice but I wasn't sure I would be available tomorrow and actually intended to post this yesterday.

The plan is to meet at the Paleto Bay LSC with a semi truck and trailer. A group of us have already tested this a few times and we have a fairly good method for truck spawning. It could take up to half an hour to get everyone a truck depending on how many show up. We know a few good off-road routes and stuff to do but it's generally un-organised so we will just see what happens.

@Sting made a fair point, ideally we would get 2 members (or more) to be designated Snapmatic-ers who would stick and the front/back of the convoy. When you record and take snaps in the video editor, you can't really target the whole convoy because of the bubble restriction thing so it would be decent if somebody could do that.

Crew Session will be active so you should be able to join through that. We will have a public party set up but if there is more than 8 people then we will switch to game chat.

Rules: No guns, No melee weapons, No Pegasus vehicles, No Helicopters or other aircraft, No cops, No mercenaries, No bounties, No calling the emergency services, No airstrikes, No smashing cars with melee weapons. Just don't be a ****.
Maybe the commissioners could temp ban those people who try and ruin it?

Ops my mistake, thought it happened couple hours ago before I posted that.

Now thinking about it, it seems that I have to ether join this upcoming lobby or join another GTP's club lobby in the FH3 sub forum. Hopefully they aren't at the same time.

Ideally we would all be in Semis with trailers. Whoever is at the front/middle/back can take pictures/record. The convoy is so long (with 6 trucks) the bubble in director mode is too small to capture everything.

Its gonna take some time to get all the trucks to spawn tbh. I'll be on later and send FRs to those I dont already have on my list. Will set up an invite only session. Make sure you are appearing online so I can send invites.

Just in case this isn't all dead (and for reasons of event and all), I shall pretty up what I once said in the main thread:

Survive The Hunt (PS4)


February 17 @ whenever people show up CET

In case you're unfamiliar with Survive The Hunt, you can either just watch this FailRace video, or read the following ruleset:

- One person (Hunted) tries to stay alive for 24 in-game hours, the rest (Hunters) try and take them out
- If the Hunted dies as a "freak incident", they're not dead. Only if a player actually finishes them off (or, if you're a try-hard, you EWO it), they die. This goes for both sides
- No radar, no player overhead displays, no anything. Except for your instincts in telling what's an AI and what isn't
- Starting from the "Simeon docks", the Hunted is given a two minute head start over the Hunters
- The Hunted cannot leave the city of Los Santos (if the numbers are significantly small, the play area may be restricted further)
- Also the Hunted must stay "on the move" in the city - no parking/staying in a parking garage/underground, no camping in an alley, absolutely no using Apartments/Garages (only Hunters can do that last one) etc.
- Also no aircrafts or vehicles capable of flight/gliding for the Hunted - only the Hunters helicopters
- You cannot shoot while in a vehicle, *of* and shape or form, *in* any shape or form; unarmed car, car with mounted gun, attack helicopter - doesn't matter, can't shoot.
- Explosives of any kind, minigun and MK II ammo of magic is banned (if we decide this setup isn't chaotic enough/is too easy for the Hunters, I may allow the Hunted to use the Michael Bay shotgun)


Microphone recommended, particularly for Hunters.

Will be a crew session. I'll make sure to set myself to "Display as online" so you should be able to join through that. Or send a FR.​

You can, yes.

Technically the hunted can too but I'm going to hazard a guess and say not many peoples Personal Vehicles are well adapted to being incognito. While an Infernus could probably go in the richer parts of town, seeing a T20 is always a dead giveaway.

For clarification I'll also add that the hunted must stay "on the move" - no parking up in a parking garage and waiting it out, no camping in a back alley, no using Apartments/Garages etc.

Should it be a rule that the Hunted has to have voice chat muted for the duration of the round? Kinda hard to do any coordination other-wise.

..I may, in my enthusiasm, have missed putting that in the rules, but yes, the Hunted shouldn't be listening in to what the Hunters are talking about.

Thanks to @Custom878, @STI9, @Team THRT Drift, @superstreet556 and @The Cheekiest Of Sods for taking part - not the turnout I had hoped for, but we got something working quite well indeed. Most definitely worth doing again.

I will also put together a highlights compilation and shove it down the throats of anyone who wasn't there - and then you'll hit yourself because you turned down the opportunity to be a part of this.

Current plans are to host in the same 'private' public lobby that I usually have going. If that appears to pose a problem, alternatives will be explored at that time. Show location will be at the Santa Monica pier parking lot. The lot on the pier, not adjacent. This will be a low energy, relaxed car show. There are no vehicle restrictions. If you want the world to know you're the kind of person who rocks gold leaf and dollar signs, have at it. I won't stop anyone from making fun, though. This is, as everything I've hosted; a peaceful gathering. Don't 🤬 around. I'm a pretty lazy individual, so if there is any outrageous clowning towards other players, superstreet has permission to kill the perpetrator until they are dead.

All are welcome, no invites necessary​

Room is open. This is a 'private' public session. Right now, that is. We'll see how it goes an adapt from there. For folks unaware, you can join through the Pause menu by going to the Online tab, Crews/My Crews/GTPlanet/View Members and from there you can select my name and 'join game' to join the session.

I didn't know there was an event yesterday, but when I entered GTAO I landed right in the middle of the Car Show. I don't have much to show but I had fun being with you guys. Will try to re-pay more attention to the GTA sub-forum.
