And btw how does the dice roll thing for stats work

A part will have certain attributes. The quality of those attributes is determined by a (simulated for quality) roll of three D6 dice. Results of the roll are 3-18, three points are taken off so that the range is 0-15, 0 meaning it doesn't work at all and 15 meaning it is a model of perfection. To lower the chances of the program giving a solid string of very high/very low rolls, I roll three times for each attribute, the third roll used for the points.

Amazingly, only one 0 has ever been hit, but it was counteracted by an upgrade. A handful of 15s and 14s have been handed out.

Anyway, when a build comes together, all these attributes are added together for that particular build. This, along with price, determine the unit's demand, and the demand is directly tied to the sales.

That help at all? If not, I'm certain someone can do it better.

Can I pay extra to get a higher point?

Can I pay extra to get a higher point?

Absolutely. Each level bumps up the minimum possible result by one, so if you got a 0, but had a Level 1 part, that 0 becomes a 1.

Upgrade levels do get expensive after a point, at L5 it begins to cost more than the original part. L1 is 15% of a part's base cost, L2 is 15% of the base cost+L1, L3 is 15% of that total, and so on up to L15, and that's because that eliminates the dice rolls.
